  1. There is not such thing as too many OCs. All have the potential to be used; some just might NOT be. Thank you for adding your OCs to the cause!
  2. I'm glad you like it so far! I'm hoping to get chapter 2 up today or tomorrow. As for OCs, hey, the more the merrier. I may use yours for Ponyville interactivity stuff.
  3. Yep! Links to what's done so far in the first post of the thread! I'm working on chapter 2 as we speak. Well, type. Whatever. It's getting DONE.
  4. Roger. Backstory based on setting gives me a lot of ways I could potentially fit a pony in, so thank you for that. It helps. Somuch.
  5. Guess who's back Back again Pari's back Tell a friend Anyway, seriously, hi. Necro bumping this thread because, well, real life topped me for a bit. THE FIC IS STILL ALIVE AND I AM WRITING. And I want to keep everyone in the loop. ANYONE WITH PEGASUS OCS: I am currently in Cloudsdale story wise. So keep your eyes peeled.
  6. @@Glaceon @ Reggie was mostly silent for the ride, mostly since she was figuring out where to go online that would believe her story and, more importantly, take her seriously. Finally though. they arrived, and Reggie got off the trolley and walked to an apartment complex a few blocks away. It was nice; not high end, but it was clean, and new. She pushed open the door and walked to an elevator, pressing the 'up' button. Her brow was furrowed, in a way Cat knew meant she was thinking, and thinking hard.
  7. @@Glaceon @ "Adrianna Jean." Reggie was quick to reply for Applejack once more, having to fudge the truth this time. Here, Apple Jacks were a cereal, but Applejack really wasn't a normal name. She gave a small smile to Jack. "I'm sure Cat would love ter show ye around." She gave Cat a look; they couldn't tell him what was really going on! He'd think they were nuts!
  8. @@Glaceon @ Reggie gave Cat a look; had she really forgotten already. "We were headin' back ter my apartment. If ye want ter 'ang out wit' 'im, be mah guest." She stared out the window as the Trolley rolled along. Once they got to 12th and Imperial, it was another trolley transfer to the downtown trolley.
  9. @@Glaceon @ Reggie chimed in for Applejack. "She's a friend of mine from out of town." Her tone was friendly, but at the same time making it clear that was all he needed to know about the topic. It wasn't a lie, but it wasn't the full truth either. If Applejack went around telling everyone she was a pony from Ponyville, they'd lock her in a room and throw away the room. The trolley finally stopped, the doors sliding open. Reggie gently led AJ aboard, taking a two-person seat near the door and sitting AJ by the window. Across from her were two more seats, Cat sliding in to one of them.
  10. @@Glaceon @ Reggie got Cat her new pass as the pair spoke, the train signal going off, indicating the trolley was soon pulling in. "'ere, Cat. Hang on ter it next time." She nodded to the man Cat was speaking to, but didn't show much interest otherwise, most of her attention focused on AJ. Reggie got a lot of looks from guys, due to her pretty features and curvy frame, but didn't pay much attention to them in return. "Righ' then, AJ, just stay close. There's usually plenty'a empteh seats this time of th' mornin'. If not, I'll 'elp ye stand."
  11. @@Glaceon Reggie nodded to Cat, waving a hand at AJ's words as she calmed down. "Eh, he's 'armless. Cocky as 'ell and believes he's God's gift ter women, but harmless. He's just angreh because 'e knows I won' touch 'im with a ten foot pipe. Besides, he knows I could beat his arse if he ever so much as breathed wrong near meh when 'e's not workin', so it stops when he's off th' clock." Soon, they had arrived at the trolley station, Reggie moving to buy a Compass Card for AJ from the kiosk. Of course, you had to pay to use the trolley, and though they didn't check for tickets all the time, they did sometimes, and it was a hefty fine if you rode without paying. Verifying the card, Reggie put it in the same pocket her own was in. She then looked to Cat. "Ye don't need a new one yet, do ye?" Once you bought a card, you could refill it with as much far as needed for the next few years. Reggie's card didn't expire till 2017,
  12. @@Glaceon Reggie rubbed her chin. "It's betta jus' ter show ya. Explainin' it is... complicated. Vereh complicated, in fact." She picked up the bag of clothes from the cashier, AJ wearing her Stetson. "My apartment is a trolleh ride away from here. I can show ye there." She began to walk away from the shop and towards the Old Town exit, which led right to the trolley. However, before they could fully exit, Michael, one of the busboys at Barra Barra, wolf whistled at Reggie with a leering grin from the front porch seating area. "If those jeans were any tighter, they'd be painted on, Reggie. Not that I'm complaining." Reggie sighed, aggravation coming over her face; she was off duty, so this allowed her some freedom. "Take yer remarks and shove 'em up yer arse, pervert!" She raised a hand, back out, middle and index finger in the air. The British version of flipping the bird. "Oooh, I love it when you talk dirty!" He followed alongside to the edge of the porch as Reggie kept walking. "You know you want me, hot stuff!" "About as much as a bloody stool sample, ye gobshite!" Michael just laughed and got back to work as Reggie seethed, cursing in Irish under her breath as she kept moving towards the trolley station.
  13. @@Glaceon Reggie grinned as she took out a gold credit card, from a simple leather wallet, passing it to the cashier to pay for all the items. "Ye 'ave good taste, lass." Really, her style mirrored AJ's; the only reason she wore a dress at work was because it was the uniform. "If yer friends also are 'ere, they're probably lookin' fer ya as well." She took back the credit card, putting it away in her wallet as the cashier bagged the items. "Fortunately, there's a way ter ask all ovah the world. It's called the internet.
  14. @@Glaceon "Rarity..." One quick lookup on her cell phone later, Reggie nodded. "Aye, probably. But yes, clothing is needed in public. I can buy ye a few outfits if ye tell me what kind of things ye wear, when ye do wear clothes." She had come across a picture of AJ in an outfit of green and red, for something called the 'Grand Galloping Gala', so she knew such things were not totally unfamiliar to her. Reggie was still in her t-shirt and jeans, sneakers on her feet. The shirt had a retro logo on it; namely, the logo for Jack Daniel's, back in the day. Thick red hair was hanging freely to her waist, freckles dotting her face.
  15. @@Glaceon Reggie grinned and nodded at Cat. "That's perfect fer her." At AJ's question as she put the hat on, Reggie chuckled a bit. "Well, in this world, nudity is somethin' that's not proper in public. So wearin' clothes in public is a social norm 'ere." Reggie looked over a leather vest. "There's lots of things about this world that are probably diff'rent from Ponyville."
  16. @@Glaceon With a grin, Reggie laid some money on the counter, plus a little extra for the trouble of bringing AJ in. "Follow meh. You wound up in a perfect part of town fer a hat." The perfect part of town was Old Town proper, a celebration of Mexican and Western history. The vendors all wore authentic outfits, true to the time period. While they walked, Reggie pulled out her cell phone and called Barra Barra, letting them know she would be out today, and likely the rest of the week. "I 'ave somethin' important ter take care of." After hanging up, Reggie led AJ into a shop that specialized in western attire, a whole section devoted to cowboy hats. "Take a look around, lass. Pick out whatever ye like." Reggie herself had bought a hat from here, a beautiful white leather piece, but rarely got the chance to wear it.
  17. @@Glaceon Reggie shook her head; she wasn't going to waver on this. "Ya see that out there?" She pointed as a car whizzed past. "That is just one of several things 'ere that can kill ye if yer not careful. I'm not a filly; I'm 23 years old, and I've seen plenty'a stuff. I won't let ye do this alone, AJ. Yer stuck wit' me, like it or no." Her tone of voice made it clear; what she said was final, and AJ couldn't do a dang thing to deter her.
  18. @@Glaceon Reggie sighed briefly before standing herself. "Hold up there, lass." She looked right at Applejack, unwavering. "Yer in a new world, at least from yer perspective. It's not like where yer from. It's not all safe. Not to wander. If ye want ta find yer friends... Ye cannae do it alone." She moved till she was in front of the blonde. "Let me 'elp. I can even get ye a new 'at. Ya didn't show up with one." Reggie wasn't going to let AJ take this on by herself. This was big. This was... insane. But Reggie could deal with insane. She was a waitress, after all.
  19. @@Glaceon Reggie lowered herself next to AJ, a comforting arm around her shoulders. "I know it don't make much sense, lass, but the situation is what it is. I promise, I will do whatever I can ta help ye get home." What else could she say? Tapping a few keys on her phone, Reggie called Barra Barra to let them know she wouldn't be in that day, and the rest of the week was questionable. It was fine; she had a lot of banked vacation time.
  20. @@Glaceon "No, lass. It's not." She gently helped AJ to her feet, leading her to a mirror that rested on the wall. "This, righ' here, is you. Yer not a pony anymore, Applejack. Somehow, ye became human." Reggie was calm about all this. Why? She honestly had no clue. Maybe because her life was so ordinary. So dull. She had been praying for something to happen, and well, here it was.
  21. @@Glaceon "Ponyville...? Wait a sec." She pulled out her phone, doing a quick look up. She knew the name sounded familiar, but then AJ dropped the name of the farm, and the place where she was from. "Are ye sayin'... This is you?" She showed AJ a picture of an orange pony with a blonde mane and a trio of apples on her flank. She showed AJ... herself.
  22. @@Glaceon The redhead smiled and nodded, adjusting her grip on Applejack's hand, as if to give it a shake. "My name's Reggie. Pleased ta meet you, Applejack. May I call ye AJ?" It seemed like a likely nickname, in Reggie's mind. As she heard the voice of her friend, Reggie turned to look at Cat. "Ah, Cat, this here lass popped up outta nowhere outside. She seems a bit knackered, so I'm 'elping her recover a spell." She nodded, looking back to the blonde. "This is my friend, Catherine. Ye can trust 'er."
  23. @@Glaceon A smile curled Reggie's lips. "Trust me lass, I wouldn't lie ter ya. Do you remember your name?" Best to go from there. If she honestly felt she was from a different place, who was Reggie to argue? Besides, she had seen some of the places they sent the mentally ill; they weren't pretty. "I want to help ya, if I can." ((OOC: I do phonetic speech because that's how I'm used to roleplaying, but anyone here knows how Applejack sounds. You could probably get away with not doing it.))
  24. @@Glaceon Behind Applejack, the owner made a 'cuckoo' sign, twirling her finger next to her head as if to indicate the blonde was crazy. Reggie shot the owner a look before moving her gaze back to the girl, moving to sit next to her, taking her hand in what Reggie hoped was a comforting gesture. "Right then, lass. Follow me on this... You're in the city of San Diego. State of California. In the country of the United States of America. On planet Earth." She motioned to herself with a hand. "I'm a human being. As are you. Were ye somethin' else before?" Even if the girl was mentally disabled, that didn't mean Reggie wouldn't be patient with her.
  25. @@Glaceon "Easy lass, easy." Though Reggie's accent was mostly gone, there was still a tug of it left, an Irish lilt that sure made serving food at a Mexican restaurant interesting. She gave the girl a warm smile. "Do ya know where you are?" She thanked the owner as she brought over some water, offering it to the blonde. "Ye gave me a right start out there, poppin' out of nowhere like that." It was so strange, but Reggie was a master of rolling with it.
