  4. Nidal The trader is busy packing up his things when you knock on his counter. He stands up and greets you with a smile. "Here to collect a debt, I see," he said and hands you a small sack of coins and a rucksack. You look inside and find two bottles of water, a few frag grenades and a large caliber rifle. "That's a NCG-made Macintosh-IV .700 Super Rifle. Darn thing kicks like a mule and can knock you off balance if you try to shoot it while standing up. It's best you use a weaponized saddle for this and fire using a firing rein. I've thrown in the weaponized saddle and .700 bullets for you as well. I ain't got enough bullets for that rifle so use sparingly. Also, if you decide to use that weapon in Hierarchy territory, you won't find any bullets for that weapon unless you visit a black market. You can find them for sale in military outposts throughout the Eastern Territories. Pretty sweet, huh." [Macintosh-IV .700 Super Rifle] x 1 Description: Made by Stalliongrad Arms Industry, the Macintosh-IV is a very powerful rifle derived from rifles used for hunting big game. Its bullet can easily pierce through Hierarchy armor and even heavily wound an alicorn hive drone. The only downside to this weapon is its powerful recoil, which makes it impossible for one to fire it while standing up. Reloading the weapon can also be a problem since it can only fire one shot before having to reload it. However, ponies with Internal Gyroscope and Strong Back augmentations can fire the rifle while standing up, negating the need for a weaponized saddle. Against targets with light to medium armor, it is mostly a one-hit-kill. Durability: 50/50 Ammo Type: .700 Dragon Breach Clip Size: 1 Damage: 300 Requirements: Level 20, Strength: 9, Kinetic Weapons: 50 [.700 Dragon Breach] x 10 Type: Anti-Personnel Bonus: x2 Critical Hit damage [sack of Coins] x 1 Value: 200 [Frag Grenade] x 3 Damage: 50 Type: Fragmentation [Weaponized Saddle] x 1 Use: Provides users a platform to mount heavy weapons, similar to the weapon hardpoints on certain suits. [Water Bottle] x 2 HP Recover: 10 HP for 3 seconds Uses: 3 Amount: 1.5 liters "This settlement's going to hell. The Hierarchy will definitely bomb this place to oblivion and I'm clearing out. Gonna head for Manehatten to set up my business. It's Hierarchy territory but I've got...business partners there ye know." He leans closer towards you and whispers, "It's the Manehatten Mafia, heh heh." With that said, he packs his belongings into his wooden wagon and harnessed it to his harness. "You and your lover boy might wanna go see your friends in the mayor's office. I think they may have something important to discuss." With a chuckle, the trader went away, whistling a tune as he passed through the settlement's gates. Dichromate and Sunrise "I'm glad you asked," the mayor said with a small smile. "Because the East can use ponies like you. To return to the east though, you have to go through Hierarchy territory because you need transport. If you try walk to Canterlot, it's gonna take you years. There is a town several miles north of here bordering Hierarchy territory. It's called Motorstorm Central, a haven for extreme racers and adrenaline junkies. From there, you can procure yourself a vehicle that you can use to head for Canterlot. I have friends in that city and some of them are former citizens of Antares Colony. That's how I knew about the history of Antares. Motorstorm Central is one of the few places in the West that actively manufactures vehicles. I've given you, hopefully, enough money to get yourself a set of wheels to go places. The last time I checked with my friends, they're selling a Dune Jeep for around...1000 metal coins. You can try to ask for a discount but I'm sure they're gonna ask you to do some work for them. The current situation in Motorstorm Central now is that is in the process of being annexed by the the Hierarchy. Mayor Scarlet Amber is resisting the pressure to give in to their demands but the need for fuel to keep the vehicles running as well as being pressured at gunpoint is gonna make her buckle soon. They got her by the neck." The mayor stops for a while and points towards the window. "I've found somepony who has volunteered to ferry you to Motorstorm Central. He's a frequenter so the guards know him and you won't have too much trouble going through. I must warn you though, the city, while a thrilling place to be, is dominated by vices. You better keep an eye out for troublemakers, especially when you have somepony like her around you," the mayor said and points at Sunrise.
  5. Dichromate and Sunrise "I'm afraid not. If you don't know this, Colonies are basically underground communities developed from the basic asteroid shelter known as a Safe, or Stable, or whatever you wanna call it. You can be damn sure that they are made of reinforced concrete and steel, strong enough to the point that it can withstand an unmodified bunker buster bomb and even a direct nuclear strike...well, at least for the well-built ones. Many are crude concrete bunkers but the Antares Colony is one of the few hardened and well-built ones. The Hierarchy knew about this and they went about developing an enhanced bunker buster bomb that has enough power to drill through concrete and steel. Coupled with a magic warhead, a precise strike on the colony's weakpoint can blow it up entirely. It pretty much renders reinforced bunkers out of the question. As for the anti-aircraft guns...your friend left only one standing. Even if she left all standing, the flak cannons aren't enough to shoot down a high speed bomber. When I said bomber, I meant a pegasus with a special role. The Hierarchy seldom use aircraft for their dirty work. Instead, they use highly-trained pegasus ponies to deliver the payload of bombs. I don't know how they do it but they manage to pull it off. Downright amazing..." The mayor then turns around to look at you two. He reaches for his coat pocket and hands you each a sack of metal coins. "The Hierarchy will have their revenge and there's no way we can stop them. My only option is to relocate Stonewall, perhaps towards the south where Hierarchy activity is lesser. Consider those sack of coins as a reward for your act of bravery. It's the least I could do to pay repay you all. Oh, now that you're here, where're you going next?" the mayor asked. "If you have nowhere to go, I may have a place of interest that I can direct you to."
  6. Dichromate and Sunrise The mayor looks out of the window and said, "Antares Colony...situated within Hierarchy territory, located near the border of the Mild West. For centuries, the ponies in that colony lived in isolation. They never surfaced nor sent scouts to the surface to look for supplies. Antares Colony was self-sufficient. The citizens could produce their own food, they were lucky enough to have a large underground aquifer to provide the colony with water. The ponies that lived in that colony were generally peaceful...and lucky. When Adonis struck, many Safes were either damaged or destroyed by earthquakes and tectonic movements caused by the impact. Somehow, the Antares Safe managed to avoid its doom." He paused for a while to look at the crowd celebrating on the streets before continuing. "I don't know how the Hierarchy found out about the colony but they just broke down their steel door and waltzed right in. The guards that tried to stop them were shot dead. They went to the Colony Master and declared to her that Antares was officially Hierarchy property. You can bet that the citizens of the colony weren't happy. At first, the Hierarchy turned a blind eye on their protests but when things started getting intense, this put the Hierarchy on alert. The last straw came when one of the citizens shot dead a Commissar. Deciding that the colony was too..."unruly and beyond hope", the Hierarchy sent in a bomber carrying a very powerful spell bomb known as the Vault Buster. Details regarding this bomb is classified but one thing's for sure: this bomb wiped out the entire colony and the location where Antares Colony once was is now nothing more than a deep radioactive crater. It's this very act that got me worried. If killing a Commissar warranted such wrath, I don't know what they're gonna do to us when they find out that we've wiped out every single Hierarchy Enforcer and Commissar in Stonewall. I won't be surprised if they decided to drop ten Exonite bombs on us."
  7. Three hours into the rebellion and things seem to be going well. Even though the rebels lost quite a number of fighters, the Hierarchy troopers were on the verge of being wiped out. They may have the technology and firepower but the combined spirit of each rebel allow them to beat a seemingly unbeatable foe. As for the town guards, many choose to side with the rebels but a number of them sided with the Hierarchy. By early evening, the Hierarchy soldiers are gone and the prison skyship never showed up. The streets are littered with charred bodies, shot up bodies and bodies that are partially crystallized due to use of Exonite weapons. Many buildings were razed during the battle and now, only blackened skeletons remain. The deaths of the rebel youths are not in vain though. With the Hierarchy influence gone from Stonewall, the Hierarchy flag that once flew over the city has been replaced by a flag with the sun and moon in the middle of it. Circling around it are two alicorns. This is the flag of Old Equestria, the flag that symbolizes a free world. Nidal You are now inside an inn after making sure that no Hierarchy reinforcements come by. Your prisoner is still with you, tied up and glaring at you angrily. There's nothing more relaxing than a cold cup of cactus juice to quench your thirst. Also in the inn is the black market trader. You still remember about the deal you made with him. Dichromate and Sunrise You and Sunrise are in the mayor's tower. He has requested your audience and upon meeting face to face with him, you realize that something is bothering him. Instead of having a happy face like the rest of the ponies, his expression is grim. "You've done quite a deed, outsiders. I've seen your actions and while I applaud your bravery and helpfulness, I'm afraid it may only make matters worse. This victory...it may only be short-lived. If the Hierarchy learns of the liberation of Stonewall, they will return with a vengeance. It has happened before..." the mayor said softly. [Pick a reply] >What do you mean? >What has happened before?
  8. "Guess its up to us to save the day,hm?" the princess said with a smile. "You've got your gear? Good, we'll set out now. Oh, by the way, pegasus, I suppose you don't mind being a meat shield? You do seem...strong."
  9. "Eager for an adventure, are we? You, guard," the princess called out to Titan. "How much do you know about the gate nearby this camp? Any information regarding enemy troop formation or deployment?"
  10. The princess smiled and said, "Good, there's nothing better than a bunch of misfits. I can't stand looking at serious faces all the time." She then turned her attention to Darts. "As for you, pegasus, I don't mind a joke but do show some respect. Else," she drew her sword and pressed the blade on Darts' neck, "I'll lop you head off."
  11. (Been busy for the past few days but now I'm back) Nidal The shot exchange between you and the conscripts ends with you killing them but you sustained wounds to her leg. It isn't too bad because it's only a grazing shot. With the flak cannons silenced for now, you return to the unconscious conscript you knocked out earlier to check on his condition. Absolon Running and shooting renders your shots inaccurate. Firing a weapon while running on three legs isn't easy as you have not receive such training yet. Nevertheless, despite your inaccuracy, several shots strike one of the Enforcers in the throat. It is a lethal shot as the shards pierce through the protective seal that wrapped around his neck. The Enforcer gagged and gasped for air as blood flowed from his wounded throat. The shard starts assimilating the surrounding tissue. He's a definite goner but there are other Enforcers left. Thankfully though, your friends arrive in time to distract them while you do what you need to do. Dichromate Your fireball arrive a bit too late as the Enforcer you were aiming at is killed by Absolon's lethal shot. You limp slightly as you move due to a wound inflicted by an energy shot earlier. You also notice that the anti-aircraft guns have been silenced, which is a good sign. You now focus on trying to save Sunrise as she may still be in danger. Sunrise The rebels help you search for useful things in the station. It turns out there isn't anything special but you do stumble upon some supplies and weapons. "I think that's about it," one of the rebels said and places a wooden crate on a table. He opens it with a crowbar and you look inside. [small Med Kit] x 5 [Hacktool] x 2 [Concussion Grenade] x 1 Type: High Explosive Non-Fragment (designed to damage by explosive power alone; not fragmentation) Damage: 50
  12. (Been busy for the past few days but now I'm back) "Really now, pegasus? Have you not heard of respect?" Princess Theofina asked and pushed Darts aside. "I'm betrothed to Germaney's crown prince and I say it would be folly to woo somepony...unavailable, especially if they're royalty." The princess's bodyguard eyed at Darts.
  13. Dunno how many of you played Deus Ex but ever since the first Deus Ex game came out, I've enjoyed every bit of it (though I'm somewhat disappointed in the second game). Now I'm currently writing a Deus Ex/MLP crossover but I'm having trouble thinking of how to start. One question is how did it all happen. How did the technology came to be, how did Equestria become a dystopian state and all that. If you have ideas, please, share it. I'll credit you for that idea.
  14. So I'm not the best writer but I've longed to write a Deus Ex fanfic for a while now since I'm a fan of it since the first game came out. I welcome ideas and comments because I plan to post this EqD and I'm gonna make this fic a success. Cookies for whoever gives the best plot idea (because I sill have no idea on the plot). This fic is not complete yet and there are mistakes in it. Opening The year is 3027. It’s a time of great innovation and technological advancement. It’s also a time of chaos and conspiracy. What began as a breakthrough in implants and advanced prosthetic limbs has turned into one of the biggest economical sources in the world. Anypony and everypony, as long they have the money, can have their bodies surgically augmented to gain the upper hoof in almost every aspect in life. In a time of great change, almost everypony has a neural implant or a bionic leg to help them in their everyday life. Corporations that make business out of manufacturing and distributing these augmentations are taking political power from traditional governments, matching, if not better than them. With great change to the social order comes great danger too. Equestria, for example, has experienced great chaos in the wake of the waves of change. The augmentations made even the weakest pony a powerful force to reckon with. Emboldened by the power given unto them, the ponies seek a change in governance too. Equestria has long been under the rule and guidance of Princess Celestia and Princess Luna. They advocated augmentations and saw it as a way to promote peace and harmony. However, none saw what came next. What started as a simple request to make a change in governance turned into a bloody civil war that saw Princess Celestia’s abdication of the throne. In just three years, the Principality of Equestria became the Federal Republic of Equestria. However, the new government was nothing more than a marionette and façade. True political power was within megacorporations the likes of Sparkle Industries and Neighpon MediCorp. Ponykind has strived to raise itself, to be more than what they are, to take control of their own future. The corporations delivered them into a future that seemed too good to be true and only a few realized that such a dream of transcendence only led to decline and the possible loss of what defined ponykind: Friendship and Harmony. Deus Ex: Pony Revolution “What defines us is a stepping stone to what we can become” Ambrosia Vale Introduction It’s utter madness. We shouldn’t be afraid of change but we’re afraid of it. Why? Because of bad decision-making by those who hold power. The winds of change blow all the time, switching directions that may lead to a path that is better or for worse. I must’ve hopped in at the wrong time because the way I see it, things have gone south in Equestria. Decades ago, my parents lived in a country known for two benevolent princesses and a way of life guided by two simple principles. Everything was great until ponykind made a breakthrough in augmentation technology. Some call it a blessing, some call it curse. It depends on how one sees it. In reality though, it’s a double-edged sword that cuts both ways. Can we dull one side of the blade and leave the other sharp? I doubt it. Augmentations are not good or evil by nature. It’s lifeless, incapable of doing things until attached to somepony. If in good hooves, augmentations can do wonders but in the hooves of knaves, thieves and unscrupulous politicians, they can make life living hell. I’m not really the right pony to be answering your questions regarding your purviews of the evils of augmentation. To be frank, all this time, I’ve been rather neutral about that subject. Why am I augmented then? I never asked for this. My body was augmented only because it was necessary in preserving my life. Even after experiencing them, I must admit that I’m still ambiguous in my stance. A long time ago, our Cutie Marks determined what we’re really good at. I don’t really call it destiny but a guide. With the advent of augmentations, some ponies became good at almost everything that their marks meant nothing to them anymore. They sacrifice who they are to become what they’re not meant to be. Like a light bulb exposed to too much electricity, they burned like a star before being snuffed out from existence. A meaningless death resulted from meaningless pursues of ascendance and perfection. Many who pursued such futures usually end up dead. I’m at it again, aren’t I? Lecturing others about subjects I don’t really give a flying buck. Perhaps my “misadventures” with conspiracies and the whole “controlling the world” business has gotten into my head more than I’ve anticipated. I’ve been involved in uncovering some rather sinister plots by some powerful individuals and organizations. There’s nothing really to be proud of and I don’t think I’ve done the world much of a favor. The news you see on TV…not all are the truth. I’m sure you know that too but how much of that is true and how much of that is false? At the end of the day, it’s there to keep the balance of public opinions. I’m not some detective, at least career-wise. Used to be chief of security at Sparkle Industries. Go figure huh. How’d a pegasus with no initial knowledge of using a weapon end up being chief of security in one of Equestria’s top biotech corporations? Luck I suppose. Oh, before I forget, lemme introduce myself. I’m Velvet Wings…though my wings aren’t exactly velvet in color. Wings is my family name and Velvet is a rather common name for mares. Funny that I shared the same name with the owner of The Crop and the crush of some bunker-born unicorn… Anyway, seeing that you’re still interested in a story from me, let me tell you what happened.
  15. The group gathered at the entrance of the camp and there stood a taller-than-average mare, clad in silver gothic plate armor. She had an air of elegance to her but at the same time, exuded the feel of a warrior spirit. She had two bodyguards beside her and the armor they wore was enough to tell that they weren't from Equestria. She noticed the group and smiles. "Ah, a band of unlikely fighters save for that guard," she said and pointed at Titan. "Good to see a change of faces for once. I am Princess Theofina Serges, overseer of Coltsburg State in Germaney. It's a pleasure to meet with you all."
  16. Nidal There is a rope inside of a supply box next to the flak cannon. You tie up the unconscious conscript and head over to the remaining flak cannon. The gunners are not aware of you and you fire three shots at them. One of your shots hit a conscript in the leg and he falls to the ground in pain. The other two wheels around and sees you. They take out their laser handguns and start firing at you. Absolon and Dichromate As you run towards the outpost, you notice that it's already on fire. Just then, somepony bumps into you and you notice that it is Dichromate. He has been wounded by a plasma weapon but it's amazing that he's still running strong. However, there is no time for greetings because the Enforcer that attacked Dichromate is right behind him. Sunrise "I didn't think Hierarchy Enforcers can make decisions. Those dogs had me thinking that their cyborgs or something," the rebel said. He waited for the Enforcer to move but he just stood there. With a push of a button on his helmet, the Enforcer's helmet folds up and rolls back, revealing a unicorn with red mane. "I don't think I made any mistake in joining the Hierarchy. However, this young mare here is right about something. It's against my conscience to stomp out free will and suppress. To hell with all these fighting and taking sides. I'm leaving Equestria. It's not my interest to continue fighting for things that others claim is the right way." "Leaving Equestria so soon?" one of the rebels sneered. "Where're ye gonna go? Gryphus? Germaney? Zebrastan? Neighpon? C'mon, the whole world suffered like we did and I can bet that most parts of the world are still recovering from the cataclysm. You're dead without your precious Hierarch to guide you." "Spare me your petty insults. I know my destiny and I'll follow it, even if it takes me to a faraway land," the Enforcer said. He then looked at you and said, "Thank you for intervening on my behalf and although I do not agree on everything you said, you gave me a reason to seek out my destiny. It's not the NCG...but it's still something worth living for. Loot this station if you want, I don't really care anymore." With that said, he pushes past the rebels blocking his way and exits the security station. The tip of his horn glowed brightly and moments later, he disappeared in a flash of light. A teleportation spell. "Huh...maybe I was wrong about that dog," the rebel with the gun said. "He did say loot the station so......"
  17. "Hold on there, Eager McBeaver, you're not going anywhere without a proper sendoff," the captain said. He reached for his saddlebag and retrieved several jewel-studded bracelets. "Each of you take one. These are magical communicator bracelets which will allow you all to keep in touch in case any you are lost or need to split up. I'm not gonna take no for an answer because I'm concerned for the survival of everypony, no matter how...obnoxious they are," Captain Star Wing remarked while looking at Darts. "There's also another pony joining you in your quest. She'll be waiting for you at the camp entrance. Speak to her when you're ready to leave. Good luck and Princess Celestia guide you."
  18. Nidal You fire three shots at the flak cannon to your left. The shots connect with the cannon and renders it useless. Shrapnel from the flak shots hit the gunners as well and kills them in the process. With one gun down, you turn towards the other cannon and do the same. There is one more flak cannon that is out of sight. Dichromate As you exit the outpost, you are unaware of an Enforcer taking aim at you. He fires his weapon at you. [Attacker Roll: 89 + 3 (Aimed Shot) = 92, Defense Roll: 84 - 10 (Unaware) = 74] (Enforcer shot successful) [Plasma Gun D4 damage: 3] (Dichromate takes 3 damage) (HP: 7/10) The plasma shot hits your left side and you cry out in pain. The shot has burned your clothes and singed your skin as well as melting a bit of flesh. Nothing you can't handle though. It's your turn to make a move. Given the current situation, you know that a fireball attack would do little to harm the Enforcer and you're not well-equipped enough to fight him. You can either try fleeing or fight back. Sunrise Your decision to have the Enforcer spared take the rebels by surprise. "Why shouldn't I kill that dog? He's not doing us a favor with him being alive. I think it's best if we just put him out of his misery," the rebel said angrily and took aim again.
  19. When the group arrived at the armory, they saw Captain Star Wing talking with the quartermaster in charge. When the captain noticed them group standing at the entrance, he beckoned them to come in. "I heard from the general that you're to close the gate...even though none of us have the slightest clue on how to do it," said the captain. "In any case though, I've told Quartermaster Kalina to allow you all full access to all weapons and armor. Don't expect anything good because these are all hastily made equipments. Don't have time to create good quality ones. Take your pick." 20. "Hmm...that's very peculiar," said the general. He then turned his attention to Titan. "Bring them to the armory. Get them suited up. I want the gate closed and the surrounding area secured. Once that's done, we can discuss our next move to liberate Equestria. You're going with them, Titan. You're by far one of the most experienced guards left. I'm counting on you to make this mission a success."
  21. Absolon "Glad to see you're still alive, chap. The Hierarchy aren't going down easily and the weapons these youths are carrying aren't strong enough to penetrate Hierarchy power armor. Our plan now is to kill any Hierarchy we see and secure freedom for this settlement. There is a Hierarchy outpost somewhere at the north end of the settlement and inside that outpost are better weapons. Perhaps you can help arm these fighters with better weapons, we may still have a chance of winning. Here, take this healing powder I looted from one of the dead Enforcers." [Healing Powder] HP Recover: 10 HP for 3 seconds Nidal You near one of the flak cannons but the gunners are expecting you. To your surprise, the gunners aren't Hierarchy Enforcers. Instead, the guns are manned by three young Earth pony conscripts. They barely have any armor on them save for a steel helmet and simple steel body armor resembling Royal Guard armor from the pre-Adonis era. One of them tries to shoot you with a laser pistol but his aim was so bad that the shots he fires are clean misses. You approach the shooter and snatch his pistol. ((Your chance to introduce your character here)) Dichromate With the tanks away from the fire, you read the documents. To your dismay, you find that the document is written in Hierarchical Runes, the official written language of the Hierarchy Senate. You do not understand a word but that only means that the document has to be very important. It is best to keep the documents and find somepony who can understand Hierarchical Runes. To keep the invading fire from the mana tanks, you lift them up with your telekinesis spell and throw them out the window. You also search the armory for usable things. You also find weapons but all of them are mounted weapons - weapons that are mounted on suit hardpoints and not meant to be carried like a normal weapon. Sunrise The guard nods his head slowly. While he contemplates your words, three rebels enters the security station, looking for Enforcers to kill. "There's one behind that file cabinet!" one of them shouted. He stands on his hind legs, raises his shotgun and takes aim at the Enforcer. You see him wobble a bit as he tries to stay balanced while maintaining his aim at the Enforcer. Instead of powering up his weapon, the Enforcer just stood there. Will you try and stop the rebels from killing the Enforcer? 22. "You saw...Twilight? Where'd she go afterwards? Did you hear her mention anything important that may lead us to the elements?"
  23. Nidal Flying low to avoid the anti-air fire, you light the the Rainbow Cocktail with a lighter. As you approach the command outpost, you drop the cocktail at just about the right moment so it hits the entrance. The fire engulfs the command post and you see several ponies run out from the command post, screaming in pain as the intense fire burns them alive. A gas canister located next to the command post explodes as the flames burn it too, causing it to knock down the communications tower. That should keep them from calling for reinforcements for the time being. Now to deal with the anti-aircraft guns. The settlers can use the extra firepower to defend their settlement so it's good if you just defeat the gunners and leave the gun intact. There are four flak cannons located at each corner of the settlement. Dichromate A stray bullet nearly hit you as you run towards the burning outpost. The dense smoke prevents you from being seen by the Enforcers as you brush past them. The burning outpost is nearly engulfed by flames save for one room which you accessed via an open window. The room's entrance is on fire and you quickly realize you're in the wrong place at the wrong time. It's an armory and if the flames reach the ammunition stockpile, it will cause a catastrophic explosion. To make matters worse, the Hierarchy also had tanks of processed magical energy stored near the entrance. These silver cylindrical steel tanks of processed magical energy are safe for unicorn use to recharge their magical powers and to power energy weapons. However, exposing it to explosives or fire hazards can cause them to explode and contaminate an area with magical radiation, or M-Rad. You also notice several documents left on the wooden table. You are not sure what they are about but it seems important enough to warrant being labeled as "Eyes Only". Tasks (optional) >Move the Mana Tanks away from harm >Retrieve the documents >Search weapons and ammunition stockpiles Sunrise "I understand your concern...but...think about it. Without law and order, there is no peace and harmony. For too long, we've been in the dark ages, barely advancing. Until the Hierarchy came along, we've led nomadic lives, living as bands of raiders looking for means to survive, living underground like moles. Now, we have what we need to live. Look at Manehatten. If it weren't for the Hierarchy, it can never become a place of opportunity. Harsh are their methods...but we owe the Hierarchy something. Look at the East. Ponies are still living underground, thinking that the surface is still a radioactive-filled wasteland. The Brotherhood and Legions are still fighting for the Canterlot throne and the New Canterlot Government ain't doing a thing to stop those two from bickering. I'm tired of all their politicking and incessant bickering. The day I would return my allegiance to the NCG is the day I see Equestria united under one banner; not multiple banners from parties who can't agree on a single thing." Absolon Your cover is slowly being shot to pieces. You move from one hiding spot to the other, waiting for an opportunity to strike back. Just then, a grenade lands in front of the Enforcer that is attacking you. Before he could react, the grenade exploded and sends him flying backwards into a building. There is little shrapnel from the resulting explosion and you assume that it was a concussion grenade that exploded. "Absolon, over here!" someone yells to you. You look around and sees your friend, Oak Mead, waving at you from behind a wooden barricade. Behind him are several rebel youths armed with shotguns and rifles. You make a break for it.
  24. Reinstalled Kane's Wrath again. Kane would make a very good pony mastermind.

  25. The general smiled. "A thirst for knowledge. Good, that's the spirit I want to see in ponies nowadays. If any of you are interested in this discussion, you may stay. If you aren't, you may proceed to the armory to arm yourselves and I'll be with you shortly." He then turned his attention back to CopperMane and said, "I have spent thirty years in the military and I've seen many cult groups come and go. The Followers of Nightmare and Chaos Legions are the two most wanted cult groups in Equestria and they've proven to be quite persistent. The Followers of Nightmare first emerged as a group of Nightmare Moon worshipers two hundred years ago and were relatively...docile. I don't know how Princess Celestia tolerated their presence but she did. They remained docile until Nightmare Moon's escape from imprisonment. They prayed for her return but when the Elements of Harmony defeated her, the group started stepping up efforts to restore their "beloved" queen to glory. I believe they were planning this all along. They nearly succeeded in resurrecting Nightmare Moon once but Princess Celestia destroyed the Nightmare Seed before it could grow. Many evil beings reside in Tartarus, including the evil powers that turned Princess Luna into Nightmare Moon. If the Followers of Nightmare are looking to resurrect her once more, I believe this is their chance to retrieve whatever's necessary from Tartarus to do so." "As for the Chaos Legions, they're an aggressive group strongly opposed to the princess and harmony. They are the worshipers of Discord and while they do not have a significant presence within one hundred miles of Canterlot, they are active in other parts of Equestria like Manehatten, Las Pegasus and even Stalliongrad. When news of Discord's return reached their ears, they started mobilizing to Ponyville but stopped when the Elements of Harmony defeated Discord. Discord's spirit may be imprisoned in stone but I think his true power lies in Tartarus. I've told you everything I know about each group and you can tell that they're definitely enemies of the Elements of Harmony, each having their own agenda. Worst case scenario, the two rival groups teamed up to open the gates."
