  1. Please excuse me if I have posted in the wrong sub.

I've been busy for quite a while with school trying to build up the requirements to apply for the International Baccleurette program.

Just recently, I have been working on a program that will allow you to build your own Pokemon card and save it as an image and/or publish it to an online gallery.

My main question is, would anybody be interested in using this sort of thing?

Just some images, to give you an idea.

This is just what I have so far. I can always add more pokemon card styles, different blanks, more symbols, etc.

The main idea I had in mind was to be able to create your very own personalized Pokemon card, save it/upload it, and share it with the world.

Lemme know what you all think. :DDD

  2.

I don't get it, care to explain more?. FM? like the one on that radio thingy?

My idea is to make pony.fm a media player for Windows. Open the program and pony.fm loads up immediately and you can listen to music through the program rather than opening up google chrome or firefox or whatever browser you use.

Just an idea I had. :)

  3. First off: I'm sorry if I posted in the wrong section. You can move or delete as needed (mods).

So, I'm creating a simple little media player based on the MLP fandom in VB. I don't have a whole lot right now, just really basic things. Seeking trackbar, play/pause buttons, playlists (media library), etc.

But, it seems so bare. I thought about simple things like soundcloud built into this program, or custom themes, etc.

So, what would you like to see in a program like this?

  4. Hi there.
I wouldn't continue until you have a reliable game creator. It's the type of thing that if you have absolutely no experience with, it can halt your game progress exponentially.

If Unity won't work, and you have the .NET framework (usually comes with windows) and DirectX 8.0 or higher (also usually comes with windows) then you should try 3D Rad. http://3drad.com/

If you change your mind and decide to go 2D, you'll have a larger range of options with less scripting/programming involved. 001 Game Creator, GameMaker, and even Flash.

The entire project sounds interesting. Keep us updated!

  5. Hi there.
You can animate with Flash if you're going 2D, but if you're going 3D, I recommend Blender for more advanced users or FragMOTION for beginners.

I believe postwhoring is when you're posting just to get your post count raised. But I'm not sure.

What are you making this game in?

  6. I was looking for some scripts for ideas on what to make next and I ran across this...
    http://www.javascriptkit.com/script/cut140.shtml
    It made me this story:

Once upon a time there was a young boy named Nick.  Nick was 15 years old and lived in Madison, Alabama.  While walking home from school one day, a Red Tiger jumped out from behind a A Frog Tank and tackled Nick to the ground.  But just when he was about to let out a scream for help, Nick realized that the Red Tiger was only licking his face, not trying to bite it off.  At that moment, Nick decided to keep the Red Tiger as a pet.  And on the way home he decided to name his pet Red Tiger ''Ambrose.''  When Nick and his new pet finally got home, guess who was standing on the front porch?  That's right, it was Nick's mother, Sherrie.  And boy was she surprised to see a Red Tiger following Nick into the yard!  ''What in world is that?'' shouted Sherrie.  ''It's a Red Tiger,'' answered Nick.  ''Dah, I can see that, Nick, but what on earth is it doing here?'' said Sherrie.  ''It's my new pet!'' answered Nick.  ''Oh you think so do you?'' remarked Sherrie.  ''I wouldn't get your hopes up. You know how your father hates Red Tigers.  But, well, I suppose you can keep him until your father comes home.''  And with that Nick grabbed Ambrose by the scruff of the neck and led his new pet into the house--even though he knew his father was probably going to dissaprove.  Once in the house, Nick and Ambrose played and played, that is until Nick's favorite television show, ''South Beach Tow,'' started.  At that point Nick forgot all about Ambrose having an unsupervised run of the house.  That is until half way through ''South Beach Tow,'' when Nick was brought back to reality when he heard his father shout, ''Ticked!!  Nick! Get your booty in the the bathroom...NOW!!''  With that Nick rushed into the the bathroom to see what all the fuss was about.  When he entered the the bathroom, there stood his father, Scott, pointing toward the Bed.  ''Will someone please explain that?'' asked his father.  Then, as Nick followed his father's finger to where it was pointing, he instantly knew what his father was so upset about.  There, smack dab in the middle of the Bed, was the biggest pile of Tiger doo-doo he had ever seen!  ''I don't EVEN want to know how that got there,'' said Scott.  ''But you had better get it cleaned up now!  And you had better get rid of whatever it is that could have done such a thing!''  Well, knowing his father as well as he did, Nick knew there was no sense even asking his father if he could keep Ambrose for a pet.  So without hesitation, Nick set out to find where Ambrose was hiding.  After a few minutes of looking, Nick discovered Ambrose crouched beneath the table that Nick did his scripting on.  ''Come on, Ambrose, it's time to find you a new home.  And hey, don't look at me that way, I'm not the one who did the dirty deed on the Bed!'' scolded Nick.  ''Thanks to you I'll never get to have my own pet Tiger!!  And with that Nick led Ambrose out of the house and down to the local Hot Topic.  They had a pet section and Nick knew the owner would find Ambrose a good home.  So after saying good-bye to Ambrose, and thanking the owner of Hot Topic, Nick walked backed home and attempted to dround his sorrows by slamming down a half dozen Cokes.  But Nick's pitty party came to an abrupt end when his father reminded him about the mess he had neglected to clean up.  And low and behold, midway through the clean-up, Nick suddenly became thankful that someone else was going to have to do it from now on.  The End.

    Hahahaha :)

  7. @@nickdh,

Well...I guess I could just run it on Wine for the time being. It's a .exe file right?

    That- I'm not sure about..

For it to run, you'd need the appropriate drivers. DirectX8.0+ and the latest Microsoft VC++ runtimes.

But hey, it's worth a try! If you try it, definitely lemme know the results!!

  8. I hope that this can be compatible for mac as well...

    It will not be :/

I have not figured out a way to run it on Macs yet. To create a version for mac, I'd have to recreate the entire game from scratch, and that'd be a lot.

    :)

  9. I am needing a vA for my game, Equestrian Adventures.

It's for the radio part-- I need someone with a smooth talk-show-like voice to say a few things for the radio.

You will be credited :) Reply or message if interested.

  10. As a matter of fact, I think I'm making what you're interested in...

Take a look at my topic, http://mlpforums.com/topic/67594-equestrian-adventures

Although, it isn't based around the Solar Empire and Lunar Republic, it's more of an open world to live your life as a pony, go on mini games with ponies to earn bits and purchase things, etc.

But, if what you're wanting is not too much work, I can attempt to help put things together in 3D.

  11. Hi everybody! :)
