  1. To be honest I never really intended on seeing the movie anyway. Maybe, if people say it's good, then I might check it out on YouTube, but other than that I'm probably gonna give it a miss. High school dramas will never be my thing, even if there is a demon in it (In fact, that tends to make them worse.)

Although I do agree with some of the points you make about people just throwing money at Hasbro. Sooner or later, they're going to realize we'll just put up with anything. I swear the 'omph' has left this fandom when it comes to lashing back at Hasbro's corporate advances.

Hasbro: We're making all the ponies Alicorns!

Bronies: Uhh, I guess that's OK. I trust the writers.

Anyway, I've kind of gotten off topic here, and I do partially agree with you. However, I don't think demanding that people give it a miss is the right way to go. If people want to watch it, then there's no problem with that.

  2. The way she uses mind control, the holey wings, the color of her and the possesed kids 'eyes', as well as the black 'horn' (I'm not too sure if it is a horn, might just be a spot) kind of reminds me of the Changelings. Although, she also turns into a demon, which blows that theory out of the water. Unless she's like a power ranger and can combine with other villains.

"This is apparently the guy seen hugged by Twilight in the trailer, and his name is (apparently) Flash Sentry."

    Sorry, couldn't resist.

  3. Super strange sniper load-out! yeah!

On an unrelated note, does anyone here use TF2 warehouse?

For someone who thinks trading is a chore rather than a thrill, I think that TF2 warehouse is brilliant, as it allows me to trade my valuable items with ease. If you have the right hats (such as the Team Captain or Fast Learner) and don't particularly want or like them, you should definatley look into selling them to the warehouse, as you can get a lot of items in return. (For example, I sold them my Team Captain, and used the TF2WH credits to get 3 hats and a couple of stranges in return, as well as a selection of weapons I never seemed to get on the item drop.)

  4. Depends on what you classify as judging someone.

For example, if someone has an avatar with Link on it, you can be pretty sure that they're a fan of Zelda. Therefore, you're judging them to be a Zelda fan, which isn't a bad thing.

However, I'm guessing the question here is do I judge people negatively according to their avatar? The honest answer is I'm afraid I do. If someone has an immature avatar (e.g. a penis) I'm going to judge that person to be a juvenile idiot and I'll steer well clear of them. Of course, a lot of the time this is justified, as an avatar is basically a representation of you on the internet. If you have an avatar like that, people are probably going to judge you as-

  5.  I dislike Bronies who hate on other Bronies because they have 'different' tastes, and the ones who spam ponies everywhere. It's not going to make people like MLP more, in fact it'll probably strengthen their hatred towards it.

  6. customLogo.gif?revision=6

I was just wondering what people thought of Gmod's second most famous game mode. Any tips for new comers? Any experiences you've had with it? Maybe we could set up a game for MLP forums members? Oh, and are there any Seananners fans here?

I personally really want to get into into TTT, because it looks really fun, mainly because it involves ingenuity and bluffing. However, most games I do manage to join have lots of script errors, making game-play practically impossible.

  7. Meh.

Some people on here are saying 'I only do it 2-3 times a month, so I'm not a clopper'. Personally, to me that counts as a clopper. I know there are a lot of negative connotations that go along with this label, but...It just seems as if you're in denial to me.

You can be a clopper and not go parading round, in fact if this poll is anything to go on, I'd say that most people don't, considering when this kind of thing is discussed without a poll it seems like there are more anti-cloppers than cloppers. Maybe it's because the anti-cloppers scare the cloppers off? I don't know, I can only speculate.

(By the way, I voted yes for all 3 options don't judge me. sad.png )

  8. There haven't really been any proper controversies regarding MLP in my personal opinion.

People blowing things massively out of proportion though? Oh, there have been many example's of that.

    Twilight gets wings. Controversy!

A pony with slightly wonky eyes. Controversy!

A spinoff where the ponies are human. Controversy!

Seriously, I can understand people getting upset about these things, In fact I'm still pretty miffed about Twicorn and EG myself. But the sheer amount of shit-spewing rage some bronies go into whenever the writers DARE to try something new just makes me want to huddle up in the corner and cry. This is a cartoon show for crying out loud, not a violation of the Geneva convention.

  9. Hello there and welcome to the forums!

As I'm also from the UK, I can emphasize with the fact there are hardly any of us bronies over here. Most people here are pretty nice, so hopefully you'll fit right in!

  10. This is my first non-crossover fanfic I've written, and I'd really love it if I could get some more interest in it both here on the forums and on Fimfiction, so it really would mean a lot to me if you could take the time to check it out and post a comment, and who knows, maybe give me a thumbs up if you like it?

As a new-ish fanfic writer, honest feedback really means a lot to me. So, what do you think?

  11. This looks pretty awesome, I'd apply for the job of shading artist but I just ain't good enough (yet), and I probably can't take on that kind of commitment at the moment.

Needless to say, it's probably for the best you keep this low profile for the time being.

  12. I wouldn't call you and extremist Brony. Extremists are the ones that go around (usually YouTube comment sections), trying to shove the show down people's throats and calling anyone who dares to resist or doesn't like the show a hater and a sinner and a heretic who should be burned at the stake for their bad taste in cartoons.

    Nazi Brony.

This word has now been added to my vocabulary.

  13. Is this because of star wars battlefront 3. Man, I am so excited about this game. Its predesesers were nothing short of pure awesomeness, and I expect this to be 20 % cooler. Cant wait for it to come out!!!

Battlefront 3? Battlefront 3 is confirmed!?!?

You have no idea how long I've been waiting to hear that news, Battlefront 1 and 2 were masterpieces, probably my favorite 3rd person shooters of all time.

I love Star Wars, it's a brilliant Sci-Fi franchise. I can't wait to see what Disney does with it. However, I am pretty wary of the video games side, being a gamer I will always be wary of what EA does. They've ruined a lot of franchises (*cough* Command and Conquer 4 *cough*) in the past and I couldn't bear to see them do that to beloved Star Wars.

  14. They need faults. If you role-play with a perfect, Mary Sue OC people are going to get bored and you are going to get bored.

Good OCs are usually relatable. You need to be able to be empathize with them and understand why they do things and why they are the way they are if your going to role-play successfully. If you don't understand your own OC yourself, then what hope do other role-players have?

Also, I find that good OCs are usually not over the top. For example, Rainbow Dash is the only Pegasus for ages that has successfully performed a Sonic Rainboom. It's kind of annoying if you just come along with this amazing OC that does 10 of them every night in her sleep (without good reason, of course. If you think you can pull of a back story that allows this, then by all means. Just don't be too disappointed if people start to critisise it.)

And as you said, a color scheme that fits in with the show is great. I'm getting sick and tired of these black and red Alicorns everywhere.

And anything too far out of the show's style can be just plain weird.

I can't stress how much I agree with this.

  15. I know it sounds pretty depressing, but I don't think I have any proper friends at the moment. For example, I don't trust anybody outside the internet enough to tell them I'm a brony. I do have friends, of course, but there are times I wish I could actually tell them how I was feeling without being viewed as weak or strange.

I used to try to be popular, but I gave up after the first year of secondary school. Throughout years 8, 9 and 10 I was just a bitter reject, until about year 11 when I started to mature. Now I despise popularity, not because I'm jealous, but because of what it turns you into: An asshat with complete disregard for the feeling of others, especially those who aren't so popular. Trust me, I've been on the blunt end of it enough times.

I'll admit I'm not perfect. I've done horrible things, but at least I've been remorseful and tried to apologize afterwords. Most kids at my school couldn't give two shits about the person they've hurt, emotionally or physically. And that's basically why I'm not popular, aside from my trust and paranoia issues.

  16. I believe a hater is someone who has very strong negative feelings towards something (such as people liking things that they don't) and will do everything in their power to make their skewed opinion heard. In my experience, haters will usually continue to hate despite being provided with evidence to prove they are wrong. This is evident in the fact that a select few sad individuals still hate on Bronies even though we've explained why we like the show. They just can't understand that everyone is different.

When it comes to Equestria Girls, I see myself as a Cynic. I'm not too optimistic, but then we haven't seen the actual movie so I can't hate on it either.

  17. Mario isn't that great as a video-game hero, because all the games use the same format: Bowser kidnaps Princess Peach; Mario has to save her. It's getting old. The only Mario games I really enjoy is the spinoffs, like Mario Kart, or Mario Tennis.

Try the second two Paper Mario games and Mario and Luigi RPG. They have a great story without having to go back on the whole 'Bowser kidnaps peach' thing. Especially Super Paper Mario. I don't care what people say about the actual gameplay, Super Paper Mario had an amazing story for a Mario game.

  18. This is the rock version of the Long Train Journey (Or more properly, the extended remixed Triage at Dawn, so it's kind of a Rock cover of a remix?) from Half Life 2. Not sure exactly who it's by, but it's just plain awesome.

  19. 1) I'm ashamed of being so shy and paranoid. It really gets too me so much that sometimes I can't even buy a packet of crisps from the shops in case the guy/girl at the counter thinks I'm a greedy lard-ass. I can also be a hypocrite sometimes and am prone to changing my mind so much I annoy myself.

    2) I'm proud of being able to overcome the above on the internet. I just find it much easier to interact with people here. Also, I'm quite proud of my ability to draw and write. You might hear me saying how rubbish I am sometimes, but to be fair, I can draw. I just get down when I see just how far I still have to go. I'm also proud of being able to admit I can be wrong quite a lot of the time, an ability that is worryingly rare in this day and age.

    3) I guess I'm proud of not being a closed minded bigot, or being puroseley a horrible person. Admittedly, I do sometimes laugh at things and make fun of people who are different sometimes when I'm not thinking properly or in a group of other teenagers, but afterwords I realize what a jerk I've been and give myself a mental scolding. On the rare occasion I do say something (which is very rare unless I've done it to a friend, see point 1) I will apologize.

I usually waste a lot of my free time just lounging around. I have a lot of things I want to do - like draw or try learning about/making music - but when the free time comes, I just...bleh. And I waste my time lounging around. Seriously trying to break this habit, though.

    Someone actually understands!

  20. It's not an Alicorn.

It isn't black with red eyes and a red mane.

    That's original in my book.

Bonus points for making an Earth Pony OC, they're kinda rare.

As for what to name him, I wouldn't have a clue as I don't really get into music that much. I just listen to what I like no matter what genre it is (I know, I'm a filthy casual :P). However, I will try my best and probably embarrass myself in the process.
