In my case, I'd been there. BUT, I've been without any "special" somepony for about two years and I'm happy all the time :3

Maybe is the fact that you idealize relationships as the "happiness free pass". But it's not like that. You'll find dat special somepony sooner or later, but in the meantime try to be happy by yourself.
