Steel thought for a moment "I don't come up north very often so I'm not sure although I do know that imps from the ninth ring would feel right at home here" steel said "any demon form the ninth ring in fact" he had noticed the odd face "umm quick question what's with the odd expression" he asked

Steel smiled "well I know of a few things that would like to get a hold of you" steel said "but I'll stop them if they try" steel smiled as he walked -I've been smiling an awful lot lately- steel thought -that's odd Demons don't smile why am I smiling so much? What's different now then all the other times I've hunted?- he lost himself in thought as he walked -lily she's the only thing that's different is either her or simplely being with another pony-

Steel faltered for a moment as she nuzzled him he played it off as though he hadn't almost missed a step he kept his cool and looked at the entrance "that's odd I figured it'd be borderd up or something" steel said as he pulled out a large coil of twine and tied one end to a pole "alright now we can explore with out worrying about getting lost oh and don't worry I don't use bait" he said

Steel smiled "don't worry I won't be to tired to protect you" steel said as she stepped closer smiling and blushing slightly "if anything big mean and scary comes along I'll take care if it for you" steel said not even thinking of how it sounded he smiled happily as he walked

Steel smiled "I'll be fine lily" he said he felt nervous and had butterflies in his stomach and he wasn't sure why -could it be because she so close to me right now-steel thought as he walked -I need to get his mare out of my head I'm half demon I have no time for this stuff- he thought no really convincing himself

Steel sighed "don't sell yourself short lily" steel said "you'd be surprised most stallions are waiting for a mare Like you" steel said as they walked steel checked a his Map making sure they where headed in the right direction he noticed lily shiver and created sometime manipulating it to his back "if your cold you can walk close to the fire"he said

Steel nodded "you'll find a stallion that will or hell find you" steel said as they left the blacksmith "I have everything I need so unless you need anything form anywhere we can get started checking out the mine" steel said as they walked he wanted to make sure she had everything she needed

Steel nodded "that's the way it'd should be a mare worth having is worth the effort" steel said "and a stallion worth having is willing to put in that effort" steel said as he took the daggers and placed them in his bags "I've gotten what I need is there anything you need or want" steel asked lily

Steel nodded "she was that bad" steel said "and if he felt you wasn't worth his time then he wasn't worth yours" steel said as they approached the black smith steel made his order and paid him then turned to lily "you'll find a stallion that's worth your time and you'll know when you find him at least that's what I've been told about mares"

Steel nodded and began to walk again "so he left because he didn't have time for you" steel said "how foolish even though I hated her I was still there for astrids mother when she needed me" steel said "and that's saying something" -for more then one reason-he thought

Steel glanced over at her he could feel her fear "so he left huh well why would a stallion leave a mare like you" he said bridge he even realized what he was saying he looked forward hoping that she wouldn't think anything if what he said -what the hell steel-he thought

Steel glanced over his shoulder "she's dead" he said "it was an arranged married and I tried, I tried hard to not hate her but I couldn't do it she was so uppity and prissy" he said his voice dripping with venom "after Astrid was born her parents took us on a vacation while there I got a job and she wanted to go with me and see how I got paid so well while we was out there the beast went after her" he smirked "and I saw an out for me and Astrid I could raise her right and teach her how I defend herself so I let the beast take get her killed the beast and got a bad wound on my chest went home told her parents she followed me on my hunt and I tried to save her but failed after that I took Astrid and she now lives with me and my family on the family grounds"

Steel smiled and laughed slightly "yeah ever since she was small she was fascinated by my cutie mark and my daggers I dull them before giving them to her" steel said "and tell your daughter a friend gave you the money" steel added "most fillys will leave it at that "

Steel glanced back at her "Astrid is 8 almost nine" he said "and in getting two daggers made in the smiths personal style one for me and one for Astrid she collects them and well I'm a hunter so I use mine" steel said "don't you get a gift for angle on your trips" he asked

Steel looked back at her "her name is Astrid" steel said he hadn't planned on letting any pony know about his daughter but there was nothing he could do about it now " lily do me a favor and keep this quite around the other two you can ask questions and we can talk about Astrid and angle but I don't want the others knowing" he said

Steel nodded "I know you do but it's still cold out and that armor won't hold heat very well" steel said as he followed her out "besides I have plenty of bits" steel said "besides my daughter would kill me if I let a mare freeze out here when I could have helped" he said looking around he froze realizing he mentioned his daughter "anyways" he said quickly "next is a black smith" he said hoping she wouldn't question him about his daughter

Steel walked to the door and held it open for lily before she could walk out steel walked away form the door and bought a coat (+1 coat -5 bit) then he walked over to lily and handed it to her (-1 coat) "you shouldn't be outside with outa coat lily it's freezing cold" he said one could almost hear concern in his voice

Stee grabbed a basket and began to walking around grabbing rope harnesses pick axes shovels walks over to counter setiknh stuff down and pulling out large bag of bits paying then putting why he could In bags ((+2 each item and +200ft of rope -800 bits))

"We're going to dig our why into the mines" steel said as he walked up to the door he opened it for lily "now when we buy the stuff if they ask us what's it for we're going Mountain climbing alright I doubt they'd be to keen on the idea of us digging around the mines for the beast"

Steel glanced over at her "buying some rope picks and harnesses and shovels" steel said "normally I'd buy some low grade explosives but i doubt I'll find any here so we'll have to do this the old fashioned way" steel said as he walked looking around the small smile on his face

while she was up stairs steel walked over to the door a small smile on his face he was glad she wanted to go with him and for some reason he felt nervous he took a deep breath when she back back down he nodded "alright let's go then" he said "first we're going to stop by a hardware store" he said

"If the monster goes for me I'll be fine" he said "as for coming here" steel stopped talking "get ready to go lily" he said one could almost hear concern in his voice almost "but please hurry there's a lot to do and little time to do it" steel said as he dug in his bag for a moment

Steel nodded and turned to leave "I'm going to go take a look around and gather some supplies" steel said "anything you need whole in out" steel asked not turning to look at her while he waited for an answer a suit of armor appeared on him it was skin tight and looked like it was made is scales after that a sword appeared on his back in all it gave him a very sinister look

Steel turned hearing him and sighed "I swear those two don't know how to hunt" he muttered to himself he looked back to lily "thank you most ponies are I scared to even think about me getting cold" he said sounding genuine he stepped a little closer to her "and a blanket would have been nice"

Steel watched her go and sighed he was normally calm but he was so tense last night for some reason he went to the kitchen door " sorry about that I'm not really used to ponies not trying to kill me and I felt a touch and was startled and my reflexes kicked in" he said slightly blushing due to embarrassment
