I've found it really easy to make acquaintances on the forums. Like people I talk too every once in a while but I can't even say I've made a true friend yet. But lots of acquaintances.

I'm here to reboot this thread months later because in fact DayZ standalone has been released! Still in pre-alpha and has its bugs but still addicting when you're playing with friends. Right now me and three other people are at the Northwest airfield. It was quite a journey to get there. We are so loaded though and we are going to go back down to the coast and just kill everyone in sight!

Oh god I would be so sad. Having to watch all my friends and family die. I would surely go insane.

I am a fan of both series but I think Fallout wins. They are really close in nearly every major category except I like the Elder Scrolls weapons more and Fallouts atmosphere crushes The Elder Scrolls atmosphere.
