you can edit the title of a thread by clicking the "edit" button on the first post.
Then, on the edit window that appears there should be a button saying "use full editor". when you click that you should be able to change the title.

you can try to put it in like this:
[ media] youtube link [/ media] <--delete all spacing in that.
or as:
[video ] youtube link [/ video] <--also no spacing in there
it should work then.

the site already shows when a new post is added to the thread you're viewing.
there should be a white popup bar showing text something like "1 new replies to this topic (LINK) show reply?"
it's kinda a ninja-protection thing, you just need to make sure you see the popup and click that link.

you can block people by going to your profile.
you need to click the black button in the upper right corner saying 'edit profile'. then go to 'ignore preferences'.
