The tweet is two days old, there's no proof, and I haven't seen anyone else talking about this, so I'm having a hard time believing this. It doesn't look like season 9 is premiering in March, but another possible month it could premiere is April, and if it does premiere that month, then it still seems a bit early to know the premiere date since February isn't even over yet. Also, I don't know if this means anything, but the tweet was deleted as I was typing this.

I also found out about the Tweet deletion.  And right now, I'm not so sure why that happened.

  2. I've heard a rumor on Twitter that the final season of My Little Pony may not start until Fall of this year.  I got this from Twitter user Critical Thought

So a leaked bit of promotional material for MLP suggests that #MLPSeason9 isn't coming until fall. THATS SO FAR AWAYYYY THOOOOO

    https://twitter.com/CriticalBrony/status/1098772525490810881

What are your thoughts on this?  I think that may explain why the final season's release date hasn't been announced yet.

  3. And it's not just My Little Pony.  This year will mark the end of many other Movies and/or TV Shows.

For fans of How to Train your Dragon, this week will see the release of How to Train your Dragon: The Hidden World.  The series has started since early this decade with the first movie.  In addition to having a second movie, it also got its own Animated Series that aired on Cartoon Network and Netflix, with a total of eight seasons and 118 episodes.  In the end, it's tough to say goodbye to a successful franchise(And this coming from someone who saw the first two films)

Another show that's ending this year is the Big Bang Theory.  The first Season aired in 2007, and they are already in the middle of airing its final season.  Though the spin-off series Young Sheldon will continue, the Big Bang Theory will end its 12 year run sometime before September.  And the funny thing is that my parents are a fan of the series.

Of course, there's another that must be brought up: The Avengers of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.  It was in 2008 that Iron Man hit movie theaters and became a surprise hit, kickstarting the Marvel Cinematic Universe.  Though the MCU will continue on after Avengers: Endgame releases in theaters, one thing is clear.  The era that brought us Iron Man, Captain America, Hulk, Thor, Black Widow and Hawkeye will come to a close with the final battle against Thanos.

And of course, Star Wars.  Mainly the Skywalker saga, which started with A New Hope.  Star Wars: Episode 9, for better or worse, will air this December.  Once that has arrived in theaters, that's it.  And that's not the only piece of Star Wars Media that will end as well.  This year, Star Wars: The Clone Wars will come back for one more season, tying up any loose ends that were left behind when Season 6 aired on Netflix back in 2014.

Which of these shows will you miss after this year is over?  Did I miss any?

By the way, I want to let everyone know to treat others with kindness in this thread. Yeah, we might be having some differing opinions on the show ending in a year or so, but let's keep it civil.

I know.  I knew this day would come(Thanks alot Mr Leaks).  BUt even then, alot of us are sad that its happening.  I'll do what I can stay civil.

And on a side note, you accidentally double-posted.

  5. My Little Pony: Season 9 has been confirmed to be the end of the tv series(Maybe not the end of Friendship is Magic).  But still, with Season 9 being the last season, what do you all hope for?

    Here is my list

-Scorpan finally makes an appearance(Voiced ether by Cathal J. Dodd, Scott McNeil or Steve Blum)

-The return of Diamond Tiara(Even for just one whole episode)

-Tirek and Cozy Glow's reform(One of the leaks hinted at it)

-Mark Hamill as a guest star(If they can get William Shatner, then they should throw in the Clown Prince of Crime)

-More episodes focused on Starlight and Trixie

-Pinkie pie being more like Bugs Bunny

-A Friendship mission focused on Celestia, Luna or Discord

-Another wedding(Ether between BigMac and Sugar Belle, or Starlight and Sunburst)

-Sunset Shimmer appears in one episode.

  6. It was bound to happen, considering that many other shows of this decade have come to an end(Ex: Adventure Time, Regular Show, TMNT 2012, Wander over Yonder, Star Wars Rebels).  But still, regardless, it was a wild ride from 2010 to 2019.  It has lasted longer than many shows from my childhood(Especially Animaniacs, a favorite of my past).  It will be missed once 2019 is over(Alongside the Avengers era of the Marvel Cinematic Universe AND the sequel era of Star Wars).

So, since someone decided to play some music to celebrate its ending, I'll join in with something from Keola and Kapono Beamer

  7. This Friday, Hasbro will be back at the New York Toy Fair to showcase it's 2019 lineup. Obviously, My Little Pony is on the list of toys being shown off.  One that we know of is a Pinkie Pie variation of the Tickle Me Elmo doll called the "Oh My Giggles Pinkie Pie."

    The info is at https://www.mlpmerch.com/2019/02/hasbro-reveals-oh-my-giggles-pinkie-pie.html

But outside of that, what else do you hope will be shown at the Toy Fair for My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic's final showing(Maybe)?  As a fan of the series, I wouldn't mind seeing a Tirek toy finally come out(Discord, Nightmare Moon, Queen Chrysalis, the Mane-iac and the Storm King already have their own toys.  Why not Tirek?)

Big Jim has hinted at her having no parents...

    which intrigues me, what happened?

    Three theories

    1) Her parents threw her out, ether because they thought she was obnoxious, they didn't want to keep her, or they can't afford to keep her.

    2) Her parents are dead.  Ether by an accident, another villain, or something worse.

    3) Tirek kidnapped her during the events of Twilight's Kingdom and raised her in Tatarus on how to be a manipulative little pony.

  9. Sorry for not replying to this topic I made.

At the risk of sparking a huge argument over which is better, I think Star Wars as a franchise would benefit more from TV shows in similar format to Star Trek: Enterprise and Spin offs like Voyager, next generation etc.

I have watched all the star wars films and some of the tv shows (though I am definitely more favoured towards Star Trek) and I feel the whole Star Wars universe and subsequent law is somewhat lacking, something that could be changed with a focus on TV rather than the big screen.

If there is one era that I want Star Wars TV to adapt, I would like it to be in the Old Republic era.  Maybe get some of the writers from Bioware to write the story.

  10. As someone who's been a fan of Star Wars since I was young, I have been hearing negative comments towards the movies.  Not only that, but I also believe that movies don't tell the whole story of the galaxy far, far, away.  But ever since Star Wars: The Clone Wars in 2008(Due to have one more season this year on Disney's new Streaming service), I began to realize that Television(And in some cases: Youtube) is serving a better purpose of telling the stories in the Star Wars universe.  That was only backed up with Star Wars Rebels, and there's also Star Wars Resistance(Still in its 1st season).  Not to mention there is Star Wars: Mandalorians coming out.

But what do you all think?  Does Star Wars work better on the Small Screen instead of the Big screen?  Should Disney and Lucasarts embrace the home tube or the youtube more than the movie projector?

  11. I would rather it be directed by the same guy who did the BUmblebee Movie: Travis Knight.  He did a great job with that movie, and I Think he would be perfect for a MLP movie.  Mostly a movie that's focused on Princess Celestia.

I talked about it in my blog about my idea for a Princess Celestia Live Action movie.
