The elitism is annoying. Most of the aftermath on the ads were laughs and people overreacting. Before the circlejerkery, I guess Ponychan was actually a nice place. After the purge I tried MLPchan, it's like you said slow. The only bearable place I can post anon is /mlp/, I don't know why. I wish I could be one of the first who started out on /co/ to see when pony was everywhere and used as reactions.

I miss the days when the fandom was just /b/, /co/, Ponychan, Fimchan and EQD (and the synchtubes).  All the imageboards pretty much hated each other, but everyone used most or all of them still.  It was less balkanized and more of a communal feel back then

As a longtime Applejack fan myself I can attest to the fact that the Applejack fans are some of the most civil of this fandom, but like Rainbow Dash fans have a well deserved reputation for being very outspoken in their love of Applejack and yours truly of course is one of them. I think of Applejack fans are like a slightly more mellow and much smaller version of Rainbow Dash fans which is very interesting because Applejack herself in some ways is like a more mellow and mature Rainbow Dash. I however have also noticed that there are some Applejack fans that can be a tad judgmental particularly toward Derpy fans because they feel Derpy upstaged her in The Last Roundup. This saddens me because I like Derpy for one of the same reasons why I like Applejack because in her own way Derpy as a character says that is okay to be yourself even if you are a little different.

 

Twilight has some crazies no doubt about it but there are plenty of Rainbow Dash fans and fans of the other ponies that can be just as possessive. Most of the Twilight fans I have interacted with are just as level headed as the Applejack fans I have interacted with. 

Derpyfags are interesting.  There are really two different kinds.  There are the oldfags that were around on /co/ when she was christened and became fans of her because it was proof that the show creators were reaching out to their fanbase on 4chan and interacting with them.  Then there are the newfags that like Derpy as meme

 

And no doubt, all of the characters have their share of the weirdly obsessed fans, but I've noticed that Twilight seems to have a lot more than anyone else.  I get the feeling that it has something to do with them wanting a nerdy girlfriend and kind of idealizing Twilight into that role

 

 

4chan hasn't really been known for a good community frankly

You're doing it wrong if you're going to 4chan to be part of a community.  It's really the anti-community in a lot of ways.  Building an identity for yourself is highly frowned upon unless you're a content creator.  It's built on the idea of judging posts entirely by what they say, not by who says them, and to focus on topics rather than people.  It's a lot of fun when you use it for what it is 

Yeah, the porn threads are kinda under control now except when it's like midnight. I like MLPchan but I can't stand Ponychan, I guess /mlp/'s influence has finally got to me. There are still some good funny threads but it is like finding a needle in a haystack. A lot of the good content vanished after the "big purge." Moot finally allowed OC board ads and the the board trolling was pretty funny. Here's a list of some of them.

Yeah, moot is brilliant.  He literally found a way to monetize shitposting and trolling.  

 

Ponychan was good at one point in the past, but it got wrecked by endless circlejerkery and reckless mismanagement by the admin and mods.  True story, I used to be a moderator there, it started going way downhill shortly before I resigned.  MLPchan is alright, but it's slow as hell and /anon/ is rarely more than a porn repository now, and /mlp/'s constant elitism annoys me more than the porn ever did.  Thony said it best a long time ago:

 

 

 

I think the reason why the annoying fans of Rainbow Dash are so noticeable compared to most of the other ponies is because Rainbow Dash has a very committed and loyal fanbase which is very outspoken about their love of Rainbow Dash which of course there is nothing wrong with but because she is so popular naturally there would be more that would take it too far.

Dashfags also sadly tend to be meme spouting spergs (I say this as a Dashfag myself).  It's weird how fans of each pony are almost mini fandoms in and of themselves with their own personalities.  Dashfags and Flutterfags tend to be the worst, there's just so many entry level "20% cooler ecksdee brohoof" people in it.  Twifags are like, weirdly possessive of Twilight and generally have gone down deep down the waifu rabbit hole (the spaghetti was flowing freely among Twifags post-Flash Sentry, plus that dude that wants to marry his Twilight plush, Ember Storm, etc...).  Pinkiefags run the gamut from fun people that never take anything too seriously and are quick with a joke, to really sad people clinging to Pinkie in the hopes of making themselves feel better.  Rarityfags are usually decent but are super elitist, and Applefags tend to be pretty chill about the whole best pony thing

You sound like someone from /mlp/. Then again lots of people on /mlp/ are only in it for the porn. I remember when I first joined /mlp/ and learned how to control my autism.

I've not spent a ton of time on /mlp/, mostly Ponychan, MLPchan, the old /b/rony threads and occasionally MLPG back when it was on /co/.  I'm a 4channer at heart though, so I agree with most of that stuff, except for wanting to sex horses.  The daily bestiality threads were getting a bit tiresome

 

 

Get over it, and stop letting things bother you when they don't affect you in any way

 

 

The asinine amounts of grimdark in this fandom is grotesque. The more happy, cute the show, the more the fandom likes to turn it into the opposite. A rule of existence I don't particularly enjoy about us humans

Frequently, but luckily I have a case for it.  And insurance.  I've never actually broken or ruined a phone before, although the last one I had before my smartphone I accidentally took a pretty sizable gouge out of the screen with the headphone jack of my laptop

 

Edit: I actually did break my roommate's phone once on accident.  I was picking it up to hand it to him since he had just dropped it, and it slipped out of my hand as I was bringing my arm up and flew across the room and broke in a few places.  It was still functional but in rough shape.  I felt so awful

By and large, yes, she is.  I think it's more because Dashfags tend to be sort of obnoxious, and people start to dislike the character because they dislike the fans.  I like blue fast though, she's a lot like me

All I would need are either Rainbow Dash (she can fly me off the island) or Twilight (she can teleport me off the island)

 

But I guess if I had to, I would take Soarin for "background" pony, because best horse and he seems chill, plus he can also fly. I dont really know any of the people here, so I'll default to the most attractive female here (whoever that may be) because I'm gonna be that guy, and Tom Hanks, since hes got experience living on desert islands

Pinkie Pie is annoyingly lolsorandomecksdee and Fluttershy is the definition of a boring and one dimensional character. Outside of the mane 6, the only ones i really dislike are the ones that have 5 seconds of time in the background and the fandom somehow gets obsessed with them (octavia, vinyl, doctor whooves, etc...)

A+ breh, this is really well done.  I particularly liked the "Grill Sergeant" apron.  Color this if you can, it's a real solid piece of fan art

I always feel weird because I don't really get crushes on fictional characters.  Or really many at all.  I think I can count them on one hand since high school

I tend to avoid bronies if I see them, since the people that wear merch around in public are usually the kind of people I'm not too fond of.  I did see a cute girl with a Rainbow Dash bumper sticker while driving around one time though.  I probably would have said hi in that case

Not really, no.  I've got a little brother who's 8, he laughs and calls My Little Pony stupid when he sees ads for it on TV.  And parents in general seem to be really conscious of gender roles, not letting their male children wear pink, play with dolls etc..., not letting them watch MLP would be in that same vein

March 2011. Saw it on 4chan. Blew through the series up to that point (a dog and pony show was the first one i watched live), and then regularly started hanging out in yari's synchtube (rip in peace), then from there found EQD, and from there found Ponychan (rip in peace)

I am a lover of most sports and an avid follower of the big 5 american sports (handegg, floorsqueak, luckswing, icefight, divegrass). Handegg has to be my favorite though. It is a quintessential team sport, it requires all 11 players to be working in perfect harmony. Other sports, a person with amazing technical ability can succeed virtually on their own (lebron, messi, ovechkin). In handegg, one missed block or blown gap assignment can bury a team even if everyone else is executing perfectly. It's the ideal blend of raw physical ability and strategic mastery. People often complain about the length of time between plays and the commercial breaks, but i generally like that about football. It gives you time to digest what you're watching. To think through the situations yourself, and to analyze

I think somepony who is an athlete like her but who is a bit calmer and has less of an ego. I think somepony like Soarin' (it dosen't have to be him specifically though) would be a good match for Rainbow Dash because he would be able to keep up with her and would be able to balance out her brash, arrogant side. Somepony like Big Macintosh might also be a good choice (it dosen't have to be him specifically either) because while he is not much of a talker he has a calm, patient nature that would make him fairly easy to talk to and he would also have no problems keeping up with Rainbow Dash though in my opinion he would be a bit more suited for Fluttershy or Twilight.

 

 

 

 

For me personally I find tomboys to be very attractive, but I prefer Applejack over Rainbow Dash because though they are both tomboys Applejack is less reluctant to embrace the more feminine aspects of her personality while Rainbow Dash is afraid of how it will affect her "cool factor". It is not any lack of femininity for me, it is more of a matter of being true to yourself and there are few things that turn me on more than a woman who is secure and confident enough to be herself and not care what others think. Because girls like that will not play games with you and are more likely to be honest and open up to you. Despite those and other insecurities Rainbow Dash is still high up on my list of characters I would date if I had the chance but not as high up as Applejack. But I can understand why some guys would be more attracted to girlier girls like Rarity of Fluttershy for example.

That's exactly the point though. Everyone has their own taste in women (or men). Personally, I am very attracted to very feminine girls, so I probably wouldnt date someone that was like Dash (or at least I would prefer someone more girly). And that's okay. What i'm saying is that just saying "element of loyalty = best gf" is too one dimensional. There are a wide range of people that can be loyal, and not all of them would be an ideal fit for any given person

Loyalty is a very good trait to have in a partner, but its not the only thing to consider, and some people look for different things in relationships. Some people may not like Dash's arrogance and how self centered she is, or lack of femininity, or any number of things that arent part of the whole thing about loyalty. You cant just look at a single part of a personality and judge entirely on that, you need to look at them in total

I danced to both of these at my friend's wedding reception this past weekend. Gangnam style is better as a dance and as a song. Harlem shake is great fun for the first 30-45 seconds, but then its kind of awkward and you dont really know what to do for the rest of the song. Gangnam style you can just keep doing the dance, so its a little more structured and fun to do in a group

Because people like talking to their friends, and texting allows for a more free flowing conversation than talking on the phone, plus you can do it in situations where calling people and chatting wouldnt be appropriate. I text like mad, because talking to my friends is fun. And i feel a compulsion to answer texts back immediately. Not out of addiction but so that they dont feel like im blowing them off. Only times i dont answer texts immediately are if im driving or in a meeting at work

You could apply the same concept to a traumatic brain injury as well. Mlp lore seems to indicate that its more of a "destiny" than a personality though, and presumably it wouldnt change in that case as that would be part of their destiny
