    Pony has only one ear, and the lower eyelid on the right side is too puffy, makes it look like someone just rocked him in the face. Other than that, it looks very good, shading is excellent and the detail especially in the mane and eyes is great

    These are actually really well done OCs. Names are good, coloring is attractive but subtle, no superfluous accessories, characters are well drawn. Grim's tail is too short and his cutie mark should be moved slightly higher up on his flank, but other than that, they're really excellent, a pair of the best OCs I've seen in my long time in the fandom

    This is really well done. Something about the front left hoof is a little off, can't quite put my finger on it, but otherwise fantastic. I'm not sure what all that stuff on his coat is, looks kind of like scales or some full body design. If that's what it is, I would recommend against it, it's a good looking pony without the gimmick, so I would stick to a solid color or two tone

    Not to sound like I'm going off on a pseudo intellectual tangent here, but I think that really gets at the question of "what is intelligence?" If you've mastered a craft such as running a farm, I would think that would qualify. People tend to think of intelligence as knowing lots of numbers and facts, but it can be more complicated than that I want to believe. They would be a nice couple

    I'm not actually sure. Cadence didn't really seem to have any royal duties before she became the ruler of the Crystal Empire. Hell, she was a babysitter before that. Come to think of it, why exactly was a princess babysitting for a non-royal pony anyway?

    I've always thought of him as representing more of the "wise elder brother" archetype. I wouldn't necessarily say he's more intelligent than the other characters, but more world-wise and knowledgeable based on his experience. Though really we don't know much about Big Mac, for all we know, he could be university educated to do the farm's accounting

    These ratings are notoriously inaccurate because the people who have already gone to see it are the ones most interested and therefore predisposed to have a positive opinion of it. In other words, the sample is strongly biased in favor of people most motivated to like it. Not to mention people that go see a mediocre or bad movie rarely go on the internet to rate it, they just leave and forget about it

    I don't really play games that have an ending. I guess the closest thing was I played two different editions of Football Manager without winning a Champions League title. Finally managed to win it about a month ago in the newest version of the game

    Zecora is not nearly as significant a departure from those naming conventions, it's still more or less in line with how characters are named, and she's also an entirely different species

    I guess we'll disagree there, you would never see a pony in that show with a name like that. The mark of a good OC is one that seamlessly fits into the show universe, one that could be in as a background character or minor character in the show and no one would bat an eye. The name distracts from the character by being unlike anything else you would see in the show

    Just a suggestion for improving the OC. There arent any hard and fast rules for OC making, but there are some good guidelines to follow, and following the universe's naming conventions is one of them. It would be like naming a pony "Jeff". Sure, you can, but why? Edit: fixing typos because my phone is being a dick

    I think the word "like" in that phrase is being used interchangably with "such as". I dont think there are any sub species of pegasus

    I had best pony (name/avatar related) as my wallpaper a couple years ago, but I like my space-y wallpaper now. I have a bunch of screencaps from Space Engine rotating as my wallpaper now
