  1. For me: Independence Day, hands down -- where we have Mac laptops interfacing over WiFi to an alien mothership so some guy can hack into the mothership and disable it. And an old single-engine cropduster pilot who hasn't flown in 20 years jumps into an F-18 and shoots down alien fighters. I have to say, though, that Armageddon is second on my Least Favorite Movies list.
  2. "automagically" -- 1) it's not a real word, and 2) there is nothing "magical" about designing and creating something that happens because of something else (automatically). That being said, that's just my personal take on the word and if others want to use it I don't judge them for it.
  3. My perspective on it is that each of us is multi-dimensional and has multiple simultaneous co-existing incarnations that all exist now since "now" is all there is. "Time" does not exist outside of you -- you are All That Is, so time exists inside of you: you are not subject to time, time is subject to you -- otherwise you would not be eternal. What we from our linear perspective call "past" and "future" are just experiences, "points-of-view", because we in this reality experience things in a linear fashion. So yes, from a linear perspective we would label those other incarnations as "past lives" and "future lives", but since everything exists right now those other incarnations already exist right now as well (literally). There are an infinite number of parallel realities and other versions of you (and other versions me and everything else in Creation). That includes an infinite number of parallel Earths where every "version" of you on each of those Earths believes he is the only version and that the reality he is experiencing is "real". Each one of them experiences birth, life, and death, but each of them is eternal, infinite, and indestructible just as everything is in existence. Each one has its own path, its own memories, and its own experiences. Each is equally valid as any other. I really liked Bashar's take on this -- if you're interested, search for "Bashar reincarnation and reappearance" on youtube.
  4. My take: yes, you will always exist and you will always keep your memories (although memories are just the sensing of other "now moments" from any given present moment). You will always rediscover more of what you are, and it will never end because existence, and therefore you, are eternal. There will always be new experiences and new realities, but you will still be you -- although "more" than what you perceive now. There is choice (free will) at every point. EDIT: Regarding your question: "But, that means I'm not original" -- there is no single "original" -- you are multi-dimensional but you only perceive one "version" of yourself at a time in our consensus reality in this universe. Every being that exists creates its own reality because there is nothing "outside" of you -- you are All That Is and All That Is is you. This also means that you are every other being (and "thing") in existence (but you don't perceive it from this reality), and every other being is you (every being/thing is a different perspective within All That is [you]). To say it another way, your spirit (soul/existence) does not exist inside your body, your body exists inside of you (spirit). You are infinite, eternal, indestructible. So when you "die", you simply "wake up" in spirit, outside of physical reality as we see it here. If you're interested, search for "bashar shifting through infinity" on youtube.
  5. To say it another way, "Time exists inside of you, you do not exist inside of time." There is only the eternal "now moment" -- everything exists now. And since you exist now you must always exist because time is just a side-effect of our current reality. I once heard a conversation that went like this, and it always stuck with me: Person A: "You cannot prove that the past exists." Person B: "Of course I can -- we have photographs!" Person A: "Yes, but you're looking at them in the present." Another way of putting it is, "We each do not just live forever, we are forever." Everything that exists is a unique facet, a unique perspective, within All That Is. So yes, everything is All That Is and All That Is is everything. I do enjoy topics like this, but it's OK with me if others don't necessarily see it the same way -- that's just one of the things that make life so (existence!) so interesting. I love you all!
  6. I'd love to have a life-sized (or even half-size) Twilight Sparkle plush! I've been looking around on eBay and etsy, but all the plushies are pretty small (under 20"). So if anyone comes across any for sale, please let me know!
  7. I see the different races of ponies as part of a larger whole, with each pony (and race) being just as important as any other -- think how boring life would be for them (and for us!) if all ponies were alicorns? Or all unicorns? All of the ponies are happy being just who they are (including race, personality, color, cutie marks, and everything else that makes each unique). The Earth ponies are happy even though they can't fly like the Pegasi, the Pegasi are happy even though they can't do magic like the Unicorns, and the Unicorns are happy even though they can't fly like the Pegasi. As an example, speaking personally, I'm happy and I like being me even though there are much better bass players out there than me. Just because someone else has more talent or abilities than me does not mean that I am worth any less as a person. To sum up, I see it as Twilight's friends all being excited and happy for her new wings -- Twilight's wings do not suddenly make her friends worth any less and there is no inherent reason for them to stop being happy with who they are. Now, some ponies could choose to feel jealous and decide that they can't be happy unless they have wings too, but that would be their choice. To sum up the summary, as I see it ponies (and humans) have equal worth simply because they are -- not because of what they are. Each is a unique piece of the larger whole, and without each unique piece being exactly what it is the whole would be incomplete.
  8. I figure the writers must have some interesting storylines already mapped out for Twilicorn, so I'm really looking forward to next season! Twilight is my favorite pony and I was happy to see her become an alicorn at the end of the season. I have to admit, though, I am biased because Twilight is so awesome.
  9. My take on it is that the ponies aren't hung up on nudity like we humans are, so hopefully they wouldn't mind one way or the other how a human would choose to dress (or not). But I wouldn't have any problem if other people in Ponyville wanted to wear clothes -- to each his own.
  10. I like being a brony, but OTOH I don't go around advertising it to my friends and colleagues -- mostly because I have no idea how they would react. But my attitude is if people decide to judge or even hate me just because I like a TV show, that is their hangup, not mine, so I just ignore the haters. Ironically, though, those types of people are the ones who need love and friendship (which is the message of MLP!) the most. I'd rather love everybody (everypony!) <3
  11. Go native, get naked! The ponies all run around naked 95% of the time, so I would, too. And has anypony there even seen a human before??
  12. The worst thing would be if Tara Strong left the show. She IS Twilight Sparkle. <3

    Hello Everypony!

Thanks for the warm welcome, guys! Nice to meet you! You have a lot of friends here now, including me.
  14. Hi all! I was looking for a brony forum and found you all. It's good to be here! *waves hoof* Twilight Sparkle is my favorite pony, especially as an Alicorn. When I'm not watching MLP I like to play my five-string bass or chill out with some computer games.
