I had a lot working out for me after high school. Great college, great career, and a mostly positive self-concept feeling like I could do anything.

And I could and I have, but without the right opportunity ever being there, I'm afraid all of that is just meaningless when it comes to having a fulfilling life. I'm no stranger to things taking incredibly longer than they need to to the point that it feels patronizing when I do get there, like being the last person to be chosen for a team.

I don't have an eternity, ya know? I won't go on as this isn't a vent thread .

If there was a record for "most ghosted person", my name would probably be up there . I try my best not to be a hypocrit, but I can't not validate my emotions either, ya know?

Nothing comes to mind. Probably save it but really, only to lose it with some sudden expense, so it's basically "reduce the damages" money. And that damage may either be self-inflicted or externally.
