  1. I WANT THAT MONOPOLY GAME!!!!

    Ebay you say..

I was thinking that would be a nice game and even skimmed a few game sections for it.. no deal, so i figured I could only dream about it...

And now you tease me with this photo... I don't know if i should hate or hug you...

Right after I ordered it I saw it at a shopping mall. It might be in some retail stores now, it was just newly released I think. Don't give up hope! :D

  2. Not sure if this is what you had in mind, but I would make a world of peace and happiness. But if I wanted to be creative... Well, I would want to make a world just like Equestria. Forget it, I can't be creative enough... :)

  3. I rarely go on the Internet, plus I have no friends in real life, so I just happened to come across the first episode on YouTube. I was thinking of new shows to watch and remember seeing once how this show was popular among adults as well as children. After watching the first few episodes, I was actually surprised I enjoyed it so much. It just made happy, and I couldn't really explain why. After getting through half of Season One, I realized how much this show actually meant to me, and how much I loved it. I started watching it on June 1st, 2013, and it's the interest I'm the most passionate about still.

  4. Wow I didn't expect so many responses. :D Now that I think about it, there were many scenes in episodes that made me tear up also... One in particular was the ending of Granny Smith's telling of how Ponyville was founded, and when it showed all of the students' faces in awe. I just thought it was so touching of a scene, especially after what Apple Bloom was going through the rest of the episode prior to it.

  5. I also forgot to mention, The Success Song is also very touching, with all of Twilight's friends cheering her on. Another wonderful thing I realized about A True True Friend, is that it symbolizes that their friendship and who they are to each other is even more powerful than their own destinies and the Elements of Harmony themselves. It really shows that they embody the power and not the other way around. I really love the music itself in a True True Friend also, the background goes along so well with the movements of the characters and the lyrics. Then again, I think all the songs are perfect in every way... :D

  6. You'll get a lot out of CoM if you invest in sleights. It's so satisfying to keep using sleights then using your leftover cards from the sleights to continuously deal out more sleights. Sadly, Re:CoM is barely any different in 1.5. The graphic changes aren't as noticeable as with KH1. Also, another disappointment I forgot to mention: KH1 has no Theater Mode! You can skip cutscenes though, which is wonderful for speed playthroughs and such.

  7. KHI really isn't balanced for level 1 playthroughs like KHII is. With spells like Reflect it's possible to beat KHII without getting hit much at all, especially with other skills like Once More and Second Chance.

Kinda seems weird to me that they would change Ansem's look like that though. He's looked that way the entire series even in DDD. I also didn't particularly like Riku's shorter hair in DDD but I got over that. I liked it nice and long in KHII

They actually did balance it. When you equip EXP Zero in KH1, you have two-three hits before you die, and enemies don't have as much defense. You'll still do decent damage and you have a pseudo-second chance, but it's still not enough really.

Also, a spoiler about the 358 scenes:

There are no battle scenes. That's right, none. Every time a fight is about to start, it blacks out and starts the next scene. Not only that, half of the story is either taken out or turned into text. Wanted to see Roxas interact with Marluxia, Larxene, Zexion, Vexen, or Lexaeus? Sorry, just a big wall of text! Plus, remember Saix and Roxas fighting near the end! Gone! It's not even in the storyline in any form. No final Xion fight either. So, it's not what I expected, but it's alright for what it is.

  8. Thank you everyone :) I just have one question: I don't actually know any other fans of the show in my area. Is there a place on these forums that discuss meetups or anything, or is that too weird? I've never done anything like meetups before. Just curious. Thank you.

  9. I have read some of the comic, yes. I've wanted to read it for many years but keep forgetting to get a subscription to keep up with the times.I've read the first 100 or so issues via less-than-legal routes but I stopped doing that and now they have the archive books that I really wanna get just to have them. I also have a few other random comics from over the years and a couple of the recent specials like the one with the 24 posters in it. (I have them hanging in my room right now)I love the comics and I love their more serious story. I don't mind serious being mixed with silly but when you take out the serious entirely it just doesn't work for Sonic very well. Even in the original 10 issues where things were more silly than serious they still had that serious undertone that made it just as awesome.I am, unfortunately, very behind in the comics because of my forgetfulness. I hope the archive books reach all the way to the current stuff eventually and maybe get archive compilations of the side stories too so we can get the whole story.

Unfortunately, the comic is a little disorganized right now when it comes to rereleases. Archives is the older stuff, the Sonic Saga series is storylines starting from issue 160, and the Digest and Super Special are both. The Sonic Comic App has all issues though, and it's what I use to get everything. Ill stop discussing this here though, as its become a bit off topic. Feel free to PM me if you have more questions about the comic! :)

  10. You know what really gets me? I'm a gaming enthusiast, so I want to support these developers right? So I buy a 3DS and a PS Vita the day they're released, and then they release 3DS XL, 2DS, and now a Vita Slim. I'm not making that mistake with the PS4...

Anywho, I can say that the graphics aren't that different from the way it originally looked. I say that in a good way. It looks exactly the way it should, just sharper and more detailed, without taking away its atmosphere like other HD remakes sometimes do. Also, I was worried about what Sora and Ansem would look like since they replaced their old models with their KH3D models. Sora is barely any different, Ansem looks a little off but it's not a big deal either.

They just made him look like Terra, to emphasize BBS, which is kind of redundant since Terra only looked the way he did because he was supposed to resemble Ansem and Xemnas, but I digress...

The gameplay changes are much appreciated, such as changing the bottom command to Triangle. All in all, I'd say its a faithful remake. The music is all redone, but it just sounds enhanced rather than taking away any atmosphere or anything like that. I'm going to give up on Level 1 Proud Mode. It's just way too insane. I could manage Level 1 Critical Mode in KH2FM, but not this game...

  11. Well, when I said I cried, I meant more like a happy, tears of joy sort of thing. Maybe I cry too easily... Haha :D

Interesting responses, I also really like BBBFF. I'm a big brother with some younger siblings, and I feel like I can relate.

Another absolute favorite song of mine is Equestria Girls, it just makes me feel so empowered, happy, and inspired.

Oh, oh, and another song that gets to me is Becoming Popular. It shows Rarity's whole struggle between doing what she's always dreamed of, and still trying to stay connected to her friends. The first time I saw it, I teared up at the end when Rarity walks back into her room, saying

I'm the type of pony everypony should.... Knooooow....

And fell asleep while starting to work on Twilights dress. It was very sweet and sad at the same time.

  12. Discordian, do you read the sonic comic? In my opinion, it has a storyline more equivalent to SA and SA2, and an art style similar to it to boot. Although in recent issues, it's shifted from the way it used to be, which is alright too. My favorite period though is Sonic issue 160-222, and Sonic Universe 1-44. If you haven't tried it, I think Sonic Universe issue 1 is free on some downloadable markets.

  13. Ouch... I feel your pain. I spend an hour making a whole garden and planting perfect apple trees, and the next day some frog just throws it all away. Gee, thanks buddy! I mean, it's not like I'm the MAYOR or something! The mayor needs more power!

  14. I could go into so much detail about how much I've worked out and contemplated every inch of the KH storyline, but ill withhold the urge...

Did you hear the latest announcement by Square? They said to not expect KH3 "any time soon", and knowing their habit to take a long time to release games, that probably means a really really REALLY long time...

Did you beat the Vanitas Remnant or Young Xehanort in BBS? I beat the former but not the latter...

  15. I preordered it (even though I literally have the entire series minus the English release of the original KH1 Final Mix which was extremely rare. Oh and I don't have any of the Japanese versions. I refuse to buy Japanese versions of games for a few extra boss fights) for the artbook and all but it didn't ship until midnight last night so I've gotta wait a bit and I can't play it yet cuz I have a friend coming in October who wants to see the Final Mix version. That said, Expert Mode Clayton has always been a bit of a douche. He's probably the hardest boss in the game because you start out so weak in KHI. It's usually after the Clayton fight that the game gets easier.I can't imagine doing a level 1 challenge. I'll never do it myself, I hate ridiculously absurd difficulty.

Kingdom Hearts is my favorite franchise... I played the original Japanese final mix and played KH2 Final Mix. I've played every game in the series also. Aside from Clayton, two other bosses that always gave me trouble were Giant Ursula and Riku-Ansem. I've gotten the hang of them now due to years of practice, but Level 1 is just crazy. So have you played KH 3D? If so, what did you think of its storyline?

  16. Its really hard to go backwards in animal crossing because the games get better and better so it gets harder to play the older ones as nicely. ;c

Ahhh the wolfs are super cool (im trying to get some in my town atm). Im more of a Dog type fan, as well as some of the sheep, (but if theres one i dont like i hit them on the head with a net and push them into pitfall holes until they move. XDD theres some NASTY villagers in that game LOL) also the ones I reallly dislike are the gorilla and monkey villagers. Eugh, they just, no.

I hear you.. The gorillas aren't as fun as some of the other villagers. Have you gotten the toy hammer in new leaf? You can get it from the island. It's by far the best way to beat on villagers you don't like... Although I don't do it too often.

  17. I find almost every song touches my heart in some way, but my favorite is Pinkie's Smile Song. The song itself is just so beautiful, the whole concept of Pinkie devoting her life to making her friends smile and be happy, and that it's what makes her life worthwhile, just make me feel really great. However, it didn't necessarily make me cry. I did cry when I listened to A True True Friend though, because I just found it especially beautiful.

I always tear up when I get to this part:

Come on ponies, I wanna see you SMILE!

and everyone shouts Pinkie!! in unison.

The song as a whole represents how much they all care for each other and how far they're willing to go to set their destinies right, and that final part just shows how much these 6 mean to everyone else in Ponyville too. Especially in Pinkie's case, it shows how meaningful her Smile song really is. I always start off my day listening to those two songs while I walk my puppy. :)

  18. I got it the day it came out, art book and all. I watched all of the 358/2 Days cutscenes already, and I enjoyed them a lot. I started a Level 1 Proud Mode challenge, and I can't get past Clayton! I barely manage to make it past his first phase, but him and the Stealth Sneak just prove to be too much for me. It brings me back to the old days back in 2002 when I was first playing, and I couldn't get past Clayton on my first playthrough...

Any tips? If not, what are your experiences?
