  1. If only I had one. I might get a plushie of my OC/ponysona in the future. Is that considered narcissism if I sleep next to it?
  2. I can ensure you, just because we would get a bunch of people who like a show about peace and friendship together would not automatically make it a place with no hate. I cant imagine things turning out well. But I guess I'm clearly being the stick in the mud here, haha.
  3. Ever typed an argument in a forum, had it all ready, then deleted it in fear of the backlash and rebuttal it potentially could cause?

No. I put effort into my arguments to say the right things to get at them. But I some times dread the bitching of the mods saying "We don't do that here! Everything is about sunshine and friendship. That means nothing from the real world!"

Totally. Usually when I realize that I'm arguing on an MLP forum with people I will never meet and have no influence on my life when I COULD be having fun drawing or playing a video game or something.

  4. Lucid took hold of he newly found flare and drinking items. The place must have been raided considering the lack of cake or flour. Suddenly a noise came from outside that wasnt beating. It was a combination of a slice and a thud. But he ignored it, barely thinking about this at the moment. As lucid checked the enterances, his mind was slowly getting panicked. "If i run out the window I'll die, they're beating down the door.... O-oh my word. Im gonna get eaten, arent I? Theyre gonna beat it down. I'm surrounded. I'm as good as dea-" Lucid heard a thump from upstairs. He slowly trotted upstairs and he saw a pegasus getting up. "O-oh my... Pegasus zombies... Im dead. Imdeadimdeadimdead. Wait..." He looked closer and shouted. "Say something your not a zombie!!"
  5. I never verbally say it under any circumstances, really. I think it would make me look rather silly.
  6. Lucid walked, sticking to the walls of buildings like glue. In the center of the street he was standing in was a large fountain. Beyond that was some sort of shop that must have sold cakes. Lucid began to peer into the houses, but each one seemed to have a trotter. Soon a few trotters started to follow him. Lucid began to run across the street to the cake store. Every trotter started to follow him. He run up to the store and went inside, slamming the door behind him. The trotters began to try and open it up and soon four or five began to press up against it. "Wait a minute." Lucid searched under the mat. He saw a key under there and he used it to lock the doors. The windows were still unguarded but it seemed like the trotters weren't able to figure that out yet. "Great.... this is the situation I DIDN'T want to end up in." He had a small amount of time to search the house. He kept his shovel out and this time stayed away from corners or hiding spots where a trotter might stay in. (IF applicable, dice roll)

critique wanted I'm picking a New Cutie Mark

That's very true, I'll keep that it mind. I'd say I have the highest odds of picking something with a thought bubble. That Idea also could work. It would definitely be eye catching. Hah, thanks. Thing is in the video game industry there's no "idea guy". I'm more of a jack of all trades master of none type. I spread too thin with talents. Also, I cant really be a black flank. My OC looks like he's an adult and the whole "adult has no cutie mark" story line has become so cliched.
  8. Let me get straight to the point. For the past few months the pony that I use to represent myself on places like deviantart has had a cutie mark that’s vague and not really relevant to who I am or what I’m good at. The one I currently have is a pencil breaking on a shield. But my primary talent isn’t debate or defending and I don’t even think its writing. So I did a bit of “soul searching” for a cutie mark that I’d be permanently satisfied with. I don’t want to change my mind on it down the road and I don’t want it to be inappropriate to what kind of person I am. I had a few ideas on what exactly my talent was. I want to say that it’s thinking, not just thinking to myself but insight and critique. Some people say that I’m good at talking or having ideas but I really don’t think those are actually “talents”. Anyone can talk up a storm and anyone can have ideas (even people that don’t consider themselves creative will have a few good ones here and there), they aren’t skills that play an important part in the working world. Insight seems to be a bit more useful. Now, I know that I could just set my cutie mark to something simple like art or game design (the career path I’m interested in) or even creativity. However, I feel as if there are just way too many art cutie marks out there. I’d just be another art cutie make in a wave of ponies with cutie marks that are brushes or painting supplies. Besides I’m not sure it’s not my primary talent, it’s something that I like to do and even if I’m passionate about it I’m more passionate about making something. That’s why I like doing art related things I like to take something and turn it into something great that I made and I set the rules for. So I have a few ideas but I can’t decide on one or even know if there are better ideas out there. 1. A thought bubble 2. An interrobang 3. A light bulb (might be too generic though) 4. (something that indicates making stories or creativity but I can’t think of one) So what do you good people think? Should I use one of the ideas I listed or are they not very fitting. Or do you argue that I have a totally different talent. I’m open to anything, so please share your thoughts and criticisms.
  9. Who should I meet up wih in the rp? Lucid just went into town. I dont know who hasnt been met yet.
  10. "Looks like whoever lived here moved out," he whispered as he crept out with the supplies. As he got closer to the door he began to get more worried and he picked up the speed more and more, eventually he ran at full speed out of he door and down the path. He thought he was calm, but staying in a dark house with potential trotters somewhere made him paranoid enough that he ran with no consideration for breath or stamina. Pomyville was right up ahead, as light began to dawn. Some ponies were standing outside of the town, trotters. The way they moved and stumbled was a clear enough sign. "Okay, lets see if this works" he whispered as he levetated a throwing knife. He put the handle in his mouth and flung it with all his might. "Fwoop" It hit a trotter... A trotter that was 10 feet behind the ones he was aiming at, the knife had lost quite a bit of it's power and simply hit its flank. It stared at lucid and the other 3 trotters he planned on initially taking down stared as well. "Crud" he mumbled. Lucid began to gallop back into the woods, not taking a trail this time. He ran from tree to tree until he saw a small cave. He waited for a few minutes behind a large rock from within. Soon he heard the growls fade. His eyes darted around as he held his shovel. Every second was an agonizing eternity where it felt like the chances of him getting caught went up by ten percent at a time. The growls and groans of his pursuers looking around for him didnt help his nerves either. After 10 minutes of waiting, he began to sneak out. He must of lost them. The animalistic trotters were doomed to roam in the forest for potentially ever, continuing to think that somewhere out there was a blue and tasty pony, and finding none. He almost felt sorry for them. "Well, i guess I'm here officially now" he sighed as he eyed the town once again, this time with a good route.
  11. I like Fallout Equestria, I like it so much that I've even taken up doing fallout equestria PnP. However, am I the only person on the entire planet that finds the fanfiction far from flawless and perhaps even a bit "overrated"? It's too long, can be a bit too pretentious at some moments and I'm only on the 21st chapter and I'm considering giving it up. For the most part I've been enjoying it but really I'm starting to find it less and less enjoyable, I almost w...

want it to end. It isn't high art, people. It's not on the same level as lord of the flies. But I bet some hardcore FoE worshopper is gonna say I just "dont understand it" or, "just bear with it, its soooo worth it." It's had really good moments, but I feel like I must be missing something because everyone seems to think it's the greatest piece of literature ever written and really, it isn't.

  12. It was still dark when Lucid made it to town. Thankfully with no encounters, but he had a spooked feeling after walking through the forest and when he saw the exit he dashed out. "Okay great. Good, good, we made it. All in one piece." he thought excitedly. He looked at what seemed to be a barn. He concluded that he must have not navigated as well as he thought; however, he also saw a road next to the farm acres, he now had a path to go to town. Lucid began to sneak inside what seemed to be an apple orchard. The family that owned this must have been expecting a good harvest, the apples looked ripe. Lucid went up and picked 10 , placing them in his saddlebag. There were hundreds out here, enough to feed him and his allies for a few weeks. "Note to self, come here later," he mumbled. Lucid then crept up to the barn and proceeded to sneak inside. It appeared to be empty, but he didn't let his guard down, it was still dark enough to be considered night, so he stuck close to the windows to keep a good eye out for anything. ((Dice roll))
  13. @@cwhip9, "Rarity's Shop by noon? Alright they works. I'll meet you there," he shuffled through his stuff one more time, pocketing the flare, to check and make sure that he had everything. "Okay, see you soon." He ran out of the tree house and climbed down to the forest floor. "Oh darn I forgot, it's the Everfree forest, at night. Nice going Lucid, you should have asked them to at least take me to the edge of this place." He started to walk through the cold, dark and endless maze. He got down a few times whenever he heard something, nothing seemed right at night. His imagination began to play with his mind as he thought of what might be out there. Every once in awhile, Lucid thought of turning back and just ask to stay there, but he had no way of finding his way back. He wondered if there could be something that might be worse than a trotter. He continued to sneak through, not trying to think what a zombie bear might look like, or if he still needed to worry about ghosts. As he slowly headed towards the general direction of Ponyville, the sun began to rise. ((so who control's what he encounters and whatnot?))
  14. @, @@cwhip9, Lucid got up and started to pack, he felt like he was forgetting something constantly and he kept checking around to see what else he could bring. He felt a sort of dread, and it was not the fault of his obsession over being prepared. He felt like every second, the probability of finding his family dead increased by an infinitely large number. None of his companions were waking up. He then had an idea, he was going insane from waiting and even if he woke them up it would take too long before his mind would shatter from the anticipation. He tried to wake Crescent up and turned to Emerald. "Guys, guys, I need to get going. I was thinking, I could leave a little earlier than you do. I cant fly, I'd slow you down so I want to get a head start. Besides, at night (they agreed on 4 AM I believe but I guess Lucid would wake at 3 from all the anticipation) it's safer if it's only me, I can sneak around better. We could meet at that big treehouse in ponyville at 8 or 9. I just want to get a head start and look around. Would it be okay?"
  15. @, @@cwhip9, Lucid sighed in relief. He didn't want to leave the company of the other survivors. He decided to lay down somewhere else, a nap would be good for now. "Okay, I guess we should leave early in the morning, like 3-4 AM. We'll have out strength and we can travel by the shadows. I just hope we meet someone living down there," he slowly dozed off into a nice, deep rest for a few hours. "Anypony. I want to find somepony... anypony would do," he thought as his eyes closed.

A lightbulb with a thought bubble in it - would that work?

  16. @@cwhip9, @, Lucid yelped as he was lifted into the sky. "Gah!!!" he looked around as he was flown back to Crescent's house. Better than getting eaten, at least. He got off quickly when they touched down, panting a bit. "Th-Thanks." "Well, I dont know..." he said. "What do I do. I cant stay here forever when my family's out there. But I'd be risking their life if I took them with me" "I think I need to tell you. I... I need to find some ponies. I don't demand if you come with me, but if you cant, I'm afraid I'll have to leave, at least for awhile. They said that ponyville would be a good place to travel to before... this all happened."
  17. I heard that Vulcan actually cant quick scope his license for wearing MLG glasses might be revoked.
  18. I'm wondering, does my character's cutie mark look too complex? I mean you cant really interpret it that easily. Maybe i should make it a question mark instead because i ask alot of questions

  19. @@cwhip9, @, Lucid kept the shield up until the zombies started to beat on it, he pushed the shield into him as he let go of the spell, knocking them back. He then reared up and slammed one of the trotters in the face with his shovel, trying to stun it on top of the knock-back. "Cmon cmon! They'll get back up quickly! It'll only be a matter of time before more come here from all the noise we're making." he kept his shovel pointed out as he backed closer to the other two, ready to run for his life,
  20. @@cwhip9, @, Lucid saw the 3 trotters run up and gasped. "Ah!" He ran up next to Crescent and his horn lit up, a blue barrier was placed around them. "Quickly! Get up! I cant keep this shield up for very long!" He grabbed the shovel from his side and took it out. "I'll use the shield to knock them down then we can run!"
  21. @, Lucid stared at the cauldron. "Umm, I'm afraid I've never learned a spell like that. I'd be careful though, exactly what do you want to do with this?" he looked around a bit more. "Wouldn't a brew take a few hours?" he said, wishing they could leave quickly but not wanting to rush it.
  22. @@cwhip9, @, Lucid helped search and looked for some water, he was getting thirsty. He tried not to look at the corpse, he didn't want to think about what happened but then something hit him. "Hey, Crescent.... I have a question," he motioned the bat pony over. "I dont know, but we really should get out of here as soon as possible. I'm sorry its just that i realized something: if your friend turned, what turned her? If she had turned while she was out she wouldn't be here she'd be shambling in the forest. That can only mean one thing, a trotter is very close around or perhaps even," his eyes darted around as he took out his shovel, "maybe it's still here," he whispered.
