  1. The beginning of time? Really? sleep.png pizza was first invented in like 1000AD roughly speaking of course. As long as we have technology ponies will out last pizza. And since tech is like the largest growing product of the world, I reckon ponies are on the upper hoof.

I second this, I don't see why Ponies would dissapear - I suppose in a thousand years or something, the old DVD's and stuff would be buried somewhere no man kind will ever know about - but it's not like they are going to dissapear within our lifetime, nor the close upcoming generations. A generation 5 is possible, but even if that does not happen, many of us will get kids and show the show to our kids, and they might show it to their kids... and so on. Ye, I'll be sure to show the show to my upcoming kids, and I WILL MAKE BRONIES OF ALL OF THEM! Yess...yess.... brony family incoming!

  2. Everyone picks ponies, of course they/we do! Pizza is replacable by other junk food, like hamburgers or something like that. and even if you would take away hamburgers and all sorts of fast food, you still got other kinds of delicious food!

MLP, is not replacable. There are other good cartoons, but surely there is no such thing as a cartoon that can replace nor be better than MLP:FiM!

  3. The Notebook, for sure. I really love this movie, and it's REALLY cheesy all the way through if you ask me, but somehow this is like, one of the best movies I've seen. It's a bit below schindlers list, and all the french amazing dramas that I've seen... Oh gosh I love french dramas! Those really slow ones, that everyone falls asleep to. Like, amour, that movie was AWESOME....

    Anyway, cheesiest moment -> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YOCzSXfofB0

  4. As the pony above said, it's all about show accuracy.

If you like spaggeti hair plushies, that's good for you, go get one and be happy! Personally I'm waaaay too picky about things to get a spagetti haired one. I'm buying this one... It's 15.50 pounds, so it's almost cheaper than the spagetti hair ones.

    $T2eC16d,!zMFIcEQIdwwBSU!UHmyHg~~60_12.J

I love it, it looks really show-accurate, and it was VERY cheap. I won't expect the quality to be superb, and it's definately not as good as a custom hand made one, but it's like, 500X better than any spagetti haired ones, to me. I don't care what others think really, since I'm the one going to own it, and not the haters (if there are any). So be happy :)

  5. Yes, I tend to shout out things all the time to everyone, I could say, that I tend to say "too much" to everyone. I happen to start talking about my future (kind of extreme) dreams to strangers I met online, I mean, first time I met them, start talking about kind of really personal stuff.

My confirmation students (i'm a young leader) also know it, they find it very funny. The priest finds it very funny, my young-leader friends find it very funny aswell, my parents is like "okay, good for you *small laughter* " . They dont' mind very much, but I supopse they might mind the tons of cash it will cost for the pony merch, but well, I have lots of cash, I'll survive :)

So, yes, of course. I feel even more proud to be a brony when people look weird at me for liking MLP, I laugh with them and think "HAH, I*M SO MUCH COOLER THAN YOU ARE!"

  6. Thank you very much~!  And no I don't mind all of the text, I love reading replies. img-1919805-1-img-1369822-1-UNZJLhS.png  It really is a shame they don't have a Fluttershy one, I would buy it in a heartbeat.

Heh, thanks. Lots of people on other forums tend to just "TL:DR" on many things I write, while a few people who I have came to know on Steam, sometimes even BEG for me to write something really huge... Heh.

Fluttershy could come out sometime, I guess, I could send the seller a message if you don't want to do it yourself, they answered within 10min when I sent my message this week, but that was in the middle of the day, so I guess it was during working hours and all... Uhm, The A.J stops selling in like, 2 weeks, pinkie in a few days, maybe they will sell Fluttershy after that, I don't know. They will probably keep selling Pinkie, since it's so popular, but well, yeah. A.J seems to be a new add-on to their selling list, so it's kind of likely that they would add the other ponies aswell, although, I would guess on that they rather do the earthponies/without wings, since it would be easier for them. (yes, I know, Twillight has wings! But still. Pinkie is slightly cheaper though, so that is probably because she has no wings, A.J has a hat, so I guess that contributes to that she doesn't have the same price as pinkie). I'm just swamling stuff that doesn't matter, haha, I like writing too much :P

  7. Wow, that is pretty darn cheap for a pony plushie, even with the shipping. I hope she turns out alright. :3 Also if it wouldn't be too much of a pain could you tell me the seller so I can look from there and see if they have any other ponies as well.

Not at all! I already contacted the seller and he/she/they got one "reserved" for me, since I lost my bank card yesterday and I was unsure when the new card would come home, I was worried that it might take too long (just a precaution to mail the seller and get one "reserved" - they probably have more than enough to say that they will have one available next week, but I couldn't be sure)

They also have a Pinke Pie, and a Princess Twillight, Pinkie pie seems to be extremely popular (most likely been selling that for quite some time I guess, LOTS of people have bought it atleast) - but personally they look too "off" to me. A.J ain't my favorite, but this one was well made enough for me to not care, I love all ponies, so it's not a problem to me. So, they don't have a Derpy though, which I know you want to give to your friend. What I mean is, it might be of good enough quality even if it's made in china or whatever.

The more expensive plushies that are fan-made and all, I'm sure they ROCK a lot more than any china made, and if this one breaks, I'll definately consider getting a more expensive one (like, Mareinthemoon's plushes!)

Oh yeah, sorry for writing a lot. I need to make a signature for that, it's so repetative to always say "sorry for writing so much" since I do it all the time.. heh

Here's the sellers store on ebay

  8. I cheat with the voting because i can't decide...

Rainbow Dash/Rarity are so pretty in human form, it's unbelievable. I GOT to have a rarity equestria doll, that will be my very special rarity.

    Sweetie Belle/apple bloom

TRIXIE! Seriously, the colour combination on Trixie both as a pony and human, is SO NICE!... I hope they release a decent Trixie in some blindbag sometime, hood ain't required, as long as the colours are right.

  9.

Try telling my parents that :/

And even if I go, theyll never understand why i get a ponyplushie.

Do the have a rainbowdash plushie?

If so, i supose it might be worth my parents thinking I'm crazy.

There's nothing wrong with liking ponies, most people probably think it's more odd the older you are. I think your parents will understand that you like ponies. My family kind of laughs at it, but I laugh with them, and they don't see anything wrong with me wanting to get MLP toys either, my father even tried to give me some economical tips on how I could collect in the most cheap way. They are usually very understanding. And oh, if your parents support gay marrige, you could always say that Rainbow dash has the colours of the rainbow! (and thus supports gay marrige!). If they are homofobical, then, don't say that :)

    Good luck!

  10. The cheaper plushies should be all right, they are of course not hand made, but I don't see any problem with them being made in china or whatever - the quality should be all right for the price anyway. Most plushies that you can find in stores are probably made in china, I mean, we all had a plush toy when we were kids, right? I had several atleast... Mostly because I carried it around all the time, and when my mother had to wash it, I was so devaststaed not to have one, she had to buy another one... Those were pretty cheap, and they had a decent quality.

Personally I don't have any merch whatsoever at the moment, but in a few weeks I'll have some... I'm going to order a plushie on ebay aswell, an Apple Jack for 21 pounds (that is WITH shipping, without shipping it was 15.50 pounds). It was so cute, and the seller had very good reviews on his plushies, they are machine made, and I presume that they are made in china or something like that aswell.

The one I'm going to buy, looks like this

     $T2eC16d,!zMFIcEQIdwwBSU!UHmyHg~~60_12.J

  11. Don't take too long to decide, they're basically limited edition to some degree. Usually by the the time a new one is being released the old ones are long gone, and that only drives the price up on them.

The FP ones are solid enough to beat someone down with, and make spectacular display items on the shelf. Only down side is the occasional hiccup in quality as others have mentioned.

Normal vinyl though.. you mean the brushable things? the hollowed out rubber ones Hasbro mocks people by selling at such high prices?

Nah, I mean the Funko ponies that aren't "POP!" - the more expensive ones that look so good. I'm going down to the capital next week, going to pick one up then, probably going to be a Pinkie Pie I think. It's my "only chance" to get some merch in a physical store, since they don't ahve any of those in my town, but I don't want to spend too much at once, and they have kind of few things to sell, but they do have the funko stuff... Atleast they got that! I can always order it online later on anyway, but I'm gonna get a POP! one when I'm there atleast.

EDIT: I read your orignal message, and you're probably right that the blind bag ones are pretty low quality, but I don't really mind that much of that. I'm probably going to get a "normal"/big Vinyl Fluttershy though when I'm in the capital aswell as the POP! pinkie, I think I'll do that...

EDIT2: Considering getting the big Dashie and Fluttershy... I kind of favorize these two ponies, but I'm not sure, maybe I would be better off with 3 POP! figures rather than 2 large vinyl figures... Hmmm...

EDIT3: Okay, I decided to get Fluttershy big vinyl, Dashie POP! and Pinkie POP! I barely had enough cash for that, but it works out! I mean, I have lots of cash on my bank, but I don't want to override this budget I have for the capital-trip. Rather small budget to be honest, but it's fine!

  12. The normal vinyl ones are really adorable, but they are too costy, and looks too much like the bling-bag ones (I mean, they are REALLY show accurate, but so are blind-bag ones, aswell as other cheaper alternatives) so I'll pass on the normal vinyl ones.

I'll get a POP! one though, just one, I want to do my collection like that, I want ONE of "each" type that I want, so only one POP figure, but I'm not sure which pony I want... Dashie, Twillight, or Pinkie... Hmm.... Hard desision!

  13. I don't remember very well, even if it was kind of recently, it feels like... I just happened to start liking the show, I think it somewhat had to do with that I found "Smile, Smile Smile" to be a very catchy and good song, so I decided to watch the show, and I loved it from the first moment. I probably watched a lot of episodes at once then... As we all did :-)

  14. I just lost my wallet, and then AFTER I called the bank so that they turned the cards off... I found it on the floor. I can't believe this. I'm so pissed, I'm not going to the next class today, I'm so pissed.

I was planning to buy a Applejack plushie today, and then this happens. I might not even be able to have any of that money with me when I go to the capital on Thursday next week, and if I got the card with me then, I could go and buy some pony merch in a store there... It's a sci-fi store, but they have some pony merch, for a reasonable price. AAAAARGH.... Well, atleast I found it.

This might be off topic, but I just, I'm so pissed, I felt like sharing my day with everypony... On a OnTopic matter, I get mad because of racism, torture, A PONY SHOULD LOVE EVERYPONY, NOT JUST ONE KIND OF PONY! :(

  15. Very simple way to limit the size of your collection is to have no money... I really want a moderately large collection but have no money to get anything... So frowny face there... I mostly depend on other people to get me stuff since I don't have a job.

Haha... Well that sure is one simple way of solving things. Unfortunately I'm a cheap ass in all ways, and I have a lot of money... Spending it all would take some time, and I would really hate doing so aswell. I don't like spending too much money on one area in a short amount of time, because I would most likely buy first think afterwards that way, or so it feels...

Thanks for the tips everypony, and keep talking if you want to, I always like writing and reading and all! :)

  16. Maybe it's best to collect only what you really like?

I like Princess Luna and Twilight, so I would collect blind bags/toys of them.

    Just a suggestion, though.

Yeah, this is kind of really hard to do, I like all of the ponies almost equally, if I have to pick a favorite, it's Fluttershy, but I really hate to make a list, because then someone gets last, and I love everypony! I found a REALLY CUTE applejack plushie on ebay, which I will definately get, but after that I got the dilemma of the other ponies... Other plushies? nope, couldn't find any good ones. Vinyl figures? Oh yes they are adorable, but they cost way too much.

I think I'll have to live on mostly blind bag figures.

I strongly recommend the blind bags. Being small, they're easy to display, low maintenance and don't take up too much room so they don't cause clutter. They're also among the cheapest, yet highly detailed, merch. They also come with high resale value, so if you ever need to weed out a collection, just sell them off img-1914042-1-smile.png

A good way to keep it under control is to collect only certain ponies. For instance, I collect only characters who actually appear in the show, thus ruling out a lot of the HasbrOC ponies. But find whatever works for you ^^ Maybe only pick your favourite ponies?

Yeah I really like the blindbags aswell, problem is that they seem to always be out of stock in the local Toys'R'Us, I'll cal them tomorrow and ask when they get in another batch. I don't want to order them online, since I'd want to check the letters on the front to make sure I don't get dupes/and only get the ones I want. Of course, I could order them, and then return the ones that I don't want... I'll do that as a emergency solve, if that's the only possible way... AAH I WANT IT ALL BUT I AM TOO RATIONAL TO BUY EVERYTHING!

Okay, okay. Calm down me, you can get the applejack and some blindbags, and how about some t-shirts? yes, that sounds good, t-shirts will be no rush with, there will always be plenty of those, and I love t-shirts... Phew. Well, tomorrow I'll order that Applejack plushie.

EDIT: Okay, I REALLY love these blindbag ponies... Not feeling any need to get those vinyl, expensive ones when I can get these... Oh crap so cute! So cheap! AAAAAW.... Some of the main 6 look a bit weird in neon, but they all look cute anyway... Wallet is happy.

  17. I don't use nicknames for them except Dashie. It just sounds cute... Dashie :3

On the other ponies, I just call them their names. Flottershy is fun to call Fluttershy, after you said "AI... PHOTOFINISH, HAS ARRIVED!" - but that's mostly on joke, on a serious note, all of their names are wounderfully beautiful as they are :) Dashie still sounds cute!

  18. Fluttershy in november? Holy crap, holy crap that looks good... Aaaah I kind of want a dashie and a fluttershy, but I'm not entirely sure about dashie from build-a-bear, but the fluttershy does look AAAWEEESSOOMMME! I hope they get that in the UK aswell, I live in Sweden, but if I order from within EU I wont risk additional hidden fees from shipping from the US.

  19. Hm, does anyone know any more sites where you could buy plushies (Europe) don't want to order from America, because of the possible fees when taking them into Sweden... Those fees might sometimes get HUGE.

I saw that build a bear is available in Europe, it looks a bit better than the china-hasbro ones, but alternatives would be great!

  20. Unfortunately I don't have much time to spare right now... I downloaded the text, and I'll have it read through to tomorrow, I'm sure it's great. I'll edit this post when I'm finished with it. I gotta do some homework now.

  21. TLDR: I want to build a collection, but I'm afraid of becomming addicted to collecting. Tips?

Okay, I REALLY want to start collecting ponies, because they are just adorable, and I just feel really happy to watch all of your collections.

One problem though, is that I feel that I would possibly "never be satisfied" with it, and just keep buying untl I become like this woman: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gf3rK2DQrSY

No offense to her, as I said, I like watching all of your collections, and I become happy by it (she just earned another subscriber, that's for sure) - but I don't want to fill my house with them myself, I would regret the money I spent on it, and I would hate to throw them away (which I would probably have to if I got so many).

If I was 40, I could think, yeah, I have a room where I can place all of my collections, no problem! But I'm 16, I live at home, and say in 10 years, I get a wife, and she doesn't like MLP? Well, damn. I wouldn't throw them away, but it would sure be REALLY easier if I just had a few. And even if she did like MLP, I would have storage problems anyway.

So, do you have any tips for me? Any suitable/resonable collection size (goal)?

Oh yeah, please share your own aswell, I don't mean your collection, we have a thread for that, but I mean your IDEAL collection, is yours too big, is it too small?... do you buy ponies all the time... etc.

An affordable thing to get addicted to would obviously be the blind bags. But if I get addicted to that intentionally, I would have to limit myself to like, one bag every month, or maybe less than that, after I built up a reasonable collection... I'm laughing at myself now, for this is kind of silly - atleast to me it is, I've never collected anything like this before! Except steam games... uh, don't want to talk about it. That's something I certainly stopped spending so much on, but I had a wave where I literally spent all the money i could get on more steam games, which wasn't very good... It's good now, and luckily all those games doesn't take any place, since they're all stored digitally.

I found the "blind bags" to be VERY awesome, since I can get those at the supermarket, and they are really cheap, and so many to collect... and so small! But I would also maybe want atleast one plushie... and... Damn it, I'm starting already... I see it as a very likely thing, that I could end up wtih a quadrillion ponies which I spend thousands of dollars on.

Oh and please don't tell me there is a thread like this already... That would be, annoying.

EDIT: The reason for my worry is as mentioned, I know that I could very easily do that personally. I got addicted to buying steam games, that just took one sale and I spent so much money I don't even want to look at the reciepts anymore... It's just embarrasing how much I spent in such a short amount of time.
    Thank you everypony! wub.png

  22. If you're proud to be a brony, show it like a man!

I know that you are 13 and that will mean that you are most likely insecure in yourself and all, I mean, low self esteem - so it might be hard for you nontheless. I know that 3 years ago, when I was 13, I was bullied, I was depressed, I had no friends, and I just felt shit all the time. Even if you have friend and all, being secure in yourself is something that comes with time.

Thread is old enough for you to already have bought it, but if you haven't... GO GET IT! Personally I'd rather have a T-shirt or something, since I already have a necklace that costs a really chocking amount, it's a cross, with diamonds and sapphires, real ones, it was REALLY costy. Especially since I bought it when I was 14, and I had no job, it was very costy for me, but it was and is beautiful, and I like it.

I'm going off topic here, or atleast somewhat. I tend to do that sometimes.

  23. Hello there, my name is Sigmund.

I got into MLP:FiM not so very long ago, I don't remember exactly how it started out, but now I am completely obsessed with it. I'm currently on Season 2, Episode 20, and I'm already now worrying about the end of the show, which I shouldn't do! There is always room for more shows, and to be happy for the time we got with the ponies. Also, I found quite a huge relief on the matter when I found this forum...

I mean, even if the show would end sooner than I hoped for, I would still have the brony-community left, and the episodes still remain to be rewatched!

My favorite pony is of course Fluttershy, hence my nick here... I was just thinking of the Photo Finish way of saying Fluttershy (u = o in german speech). I don't dislike anypony, I like ALL OF THEM!

I'm swedish, I like powerlifting, visual novels, historical books, christianity, I support homosexuality and full equality... Uhm, what else is there to say! I don't know.

The reason to why I registered here is actually because I wanted to find some shows that bronies liked, I mean cartoons - dispite MLP. That might be a kind of odd reason, but I'm almost always worrying about what will happen after I finish a very lovely show. To be honest, I would kind of be happy to have 10+ seasons of MLP, even if they would suck more and more in the end, I would be more satisfied than with very few, amazing seasons. That's just me. I watched all seasons and movies of Stargate SG-1, and I never got tired of it, but I didn't feel like there was too little of it either, so that's good.

I have a tendency to write a real lot, and often about things, that I didn't even intend to talk about in the beginning. You could call me a, talk-all-day-er.
