  1. My doctor told me Burt and Ernie were in my ears. I believed him.

This is more of a story than a belief, but when I was a kid I was staying the night at a friends house, and she told me about poltergeists. That night the 1994 Northridge earthquake hit, it was a 6.7 magnitude. I thought a ghost was coming for me =(

  2. Twilight is kind of a jerk to him. They almost have a big sister/little brother bond, and I get that, but she's kinda snobby to him, and is often left out. It's actually one of the reasons I don't particularly like Twilight. Take the Ticket Master: She never even offers the ticket to Spike, even though they've been friends forever. He says he doesn't want it, but shouldn't she know better? He thought they were going to hang out in Grand Galloping Gala, and gets completely ditched immediately. Spike takes out Rarity's trash? Come on.

  3. I have a rabbit. I adore Flutteryshy, but my rabbit has a bunnitude rather like Angel's. While I don't know that it was appropriate for a kids show, I laughed my butt off over that. However, I don't think it was particularly child appropriate. On the same token, look at looney toons. Oh well.

  4. I'm not a guy, but at first I was like ermahgerd, why am I watching this. I got over it pretty quickly though, and now when I don't wear a skirt, I'm wearing an MLP belt. I also have a lot of MLP other stuff, such as my backpack, and one of my two lunch boxes (the other being a weighted companion cube)

  5. I hate to say this, but I never really liked Twilight in the first place, for the simple fact that I see myself as being very much like her. especially before she got to Ponyville. Introverted, awkward, prone to anxiety, into reading, bossy, etc. However, I do like the changes she's encountered. One of the big problems I have with most TV these days is that the characters never grow, and make the same mistakes over and over, and to me, that's absolutely infuriating.

Unfortunately, I also see Twilicorn as being a HUGE money grab. If you have the older pony toys, she won't have a horn, and that just isn't as cool, and it felt to me and if Hasbro was promoting what it seemed they had been trying to repel in making such a strong show for girls.

One thing that I am happy about though, Twilicorn seems to have extended the life of MLP:FiM in the fact that the setting now will have to change, and the characters will have to grow. The current plots will not be revisited over and over, causing stagnation (see what I did there?) in an over all very fresh show.

  6. I can't say that I'm dissatisfied completely with the time I did spend at school beyond high school, but I also had stellar grades, skipped 10th grade, and was given a fatty scholarship to a state school.

While Journalism isn't highly regarded, and tends to be corrupt, for some people it is their passion, and really enjoy it, no matter what their pay, and I say good on them. However, it is easy to be disillusioned by it, because it's seen as glamourous on TV. This discussion isn't about journalism though!

The main point I really wanted to make is that you can't just sit in a holding pattern either. You can't find a crap job and work it, and hate it, and consistantly complain if you do make the choice not to go to school. It's unfortunate that college has become the norm, but the fact of the matter is that these days there are two choices for high paying jobs: Get really lucky, or get educated. A lot of times both.

Which doesn't say that a high paying job and a lot of money will make you happy. The number of people that are truly happy is something like 1/3 of the population.

Ungh. This topic is making me sad.

  7. I know it's a movie, but look at Little Miss Sunshine. If you haven't seen it, you need to. She really wanted to do a beauty pagent, even though she clearly wasn't the "perfect" child they were looking for. Yes, in the end she did end up getting kicked out, but she was okay with that, which was really what the aim of the movie was.

  8. One of the most frustrating things I found about eduaction beyond high school is that in many classes, the same topics are discussed over and over. Take Darwinism for example, survival of the fittest, finches with different shaped beaks, etc. Even if you don't agree with it, in the United States, you have to learn it. In college, I believe I "learned" this about 8 time. Now, in that amount of time, I could have learned loads of other things, but because it pertained to that specific class, it had to be gone over again.

Relearning the same concepts over and over again is one of the biggest failings of our current school system, and if you never feel you are learning anything new, why go?

Don't get me wrong, I think that educating yourself is always a great idea, buy why does it have to be in such a narrow scope? Why is it only classified as finishing your education if your butt is in a chair? I think more emphasis should be on intern and apprenticeships, allowing you to learn the field you want to go into, or find the one that is most fitting with what you want to do.

What does one do after high school? Well, more school obviously. After 13 years in school already, you're tired of sitting in desks having people talk at you.

  9. My heart just broke a little. Maybe a lottle. I was out of high school by the time this came out, but I WANTED ONE SO BAD! While I still think the 64 is my favorite Nintendo console, the Wii was amazing, in light of how groundbreaking the controller was. Sadness.

  10. I live in a heavily wooded area, and there are some scary sounds outside at night around here. I'll often joke about a bunyip being in the creek to explain the creepy noises, but it's more to cover up the fact that some of the noises are friggen freaky sometimes. o.O

  11. I would choose everything to be cute.

Just kidding. I just beat Y, and the team I used for the final four was:

Snorlax: Extremely slow, but chip away was pure BS. It's a move that would knock out about 85% of the time in one hit. Because it's classified as a normal move, it hit just about everything

Yveltal: Dark and flying with psychic moves? I'm there. He was usually pretty easy to get low health, but use oblivion wing, and he's fine.

Raichu: Cute, electric, and easy to catch early on. What more do you need?

Delphox: The professor gave him to me! I had to use him! Usually the starter pokes work really well later on, and he was just generally a monster.

Lucario: Maaar fighting/steel type, with dragon moves

Blaziken: He didn't really need to be there, but because of his xp boost, he was the highest level. I think a ground or fairy would have been more effective, but he worked well enough.

  12. One of my favorite scions, only being beaten by the beautiful FRS. Any plans or mods for the car? Would look even more sick with a decent drop.

I already scrape on everything as it is. I do have to agree though, I love the FRS. I think I would get the BRZ though, since it seems to be slightly better equipped. Unfortunately, I seem to drive my truck a bit more. since it isn't a stick. I have a collagen issue that often makes driving stick slightly painful. Anways, the truck! 2006 Honda Ridgeline. I LOVE THIS TRUCK.

I've gotten some flack for it because it drives more like a car than a traditional truck, but ermahgerd this thing is amazing. So comfortable!

That's my car, 2007 Scion TC in a discontinued color, which is accidental, but awesome. Even though she's filthy, in bad light, and covered in raccoon foot prints, she's still beautiful to me.
