  1. Hey new friend! We're overjoyed to have you hear!
  2. Anti-Brony Brotherhood? That is a loooong walk for a short drink of water, I've always thought that hating stuff was easy. You can comment pretty much anywhere, its not exactly rocket science to make your thoughts heard by a wider audience these days. To form a group for the sole purpose of hating one thing that doesn't really affect you is like me creating a group dedicated to the hatred of celery. Man that is some epic pedantry.
  3. A pencil! No, Wait! A controller from some console! No! A keyboard and mouse! No! Nononono! I know! ... No, no I don't :| A banana maybe? Ohhh! Or a coffee mug!
  4. Not to be a negative Nancy but I... well I won't. And if I do, I probably won't.
  5. Yeah, I think I would be cute, there's no real romance in the show so it would be a friendly thing. Not to mention the wave of apoplexies that shippers would suffer would make things interesting to say the least.

    movies/tv Subbed or Dubbed

For me, it entirely depends on which I watched first. There are some shows that have great dubbing but because I got to know the show and characters in Japanese, anything else just seems odd. Like Bleach or Soul Eater or Black Lagoon, I first saw them in English so the original seems out of place. Same holds for Highschool of the Dead, Elfen Lied and Code Geass.
  7. I drink coffee almost hourly. I love the taste but becuase of how much I drink, the caffeine doesn't really have any noticable affect anymore. Its gotten so bad that I have a cup before bed without it affecting mysleep at all.
  8. Hey new friend Welcome to the forums, we're glad you made it
  9. I have five pairs of Chucks, I love them. They are the only items of clothing I care about. I'm not really interested in clothes. But my Chucks are my babies.
  10. *blink* This is either an awesome dream or I need to lay off the chronic. Actually no, I wish I would be that cool, I would probably have a minor heart attack.
  11. My hair is naturally thick, extremely curly and a sort of dark brow that becomes a sort of browny blonde in the sun. I have no idea why. I had it straightened recently so now its thick, straight, falls a little way below my shoulders and is a sort if dark brown that becomes a sort of browny blonde in the sun.
  12. Mine would be something along the lines of: "The mad ramblings of a funtional lunatic." Or perhaps: "The memoires of a closet basket case." Or: "How to trip and make it look purposeful; A reference guide."
  13. For me the basis of good story telling is adversity, character growth and conflict. The majority of Mary Sue's don't have any of these. Any conflict or adversity is overcome with little to no effort. There's no reason to root for them, there's nothing on the line. The character never needs to grow because they're what would happen if Superman, Iron Man and The Doctor were cloned and mixed together.
  14. I don't cry very often, I wasn't really allowed to as a kid. But on the odd accasion when my face does get leaky its always something silly and bitter sweet. Like the episode of Doctor Who when they took Vincent van Gogh to a museum containing his art. But the most recent time I teared up was in an episode of Scrubs, when JD and Turk spent an entire evening with a terminally ill old man. I don't know why but that was really touching.
  15. I'm not entirely certain what I am. I think mixed race would sum me up best. My mum is white, born in Zimbabwe, then lived in Malawe before moving to South Africa. Both of my grandparent's sides of the family are very English. My dad is what, in South Africa, would be called coloured. I know, the PC term is mixed race, but in SA you're likely to get a thorough bollocking for calling someone mixed race. My dad's dad is indian, and my dad's mum is coloured. That is two mixed race parents as opposed to one of each. My dad's dad's parents are Scotish and Indian, dad scotish and mum indian. My step mum is Brazillian and so are her kids, and we now live in Brazil
  16. Nope. The majority of my friends are between 25-30. I've always been more comfortable in older crowds, less of that highschool/social competition crap. If the person is creepy then I'm gonna be creeped out by them, regardless of whether they're 16 or 60.
  17. Yet another atheist to add to the pile. I've been one for a while. Religion was forced on me all my life and I eventually got fed up with it. Also, my brain isn't really hardwired to accept things without some tangible evidence to support it. If you can just believe in something, that's great. It's kind of the point of religion, to have faith, to believe in something greater than you. I can't do that, my brain is logic driven and untill evidence is brought forward any idea, be it religious or scientific, is just a theory.
  18. Nope, when I first stumbled across the Brony fandom I was mainly confused. I wasn't sure if it was a trolling thing or some inide joke I didn't get. Once I found out what it was I was largely disinterested. I have friends from loads of fandoms and intrests. Liking MLP isn't that far out.
  19. I used to, I used to be a lot more agressive online. Now though I'm pretty much the same, if anything I'm a bit more mellow online than I am IRL.
  20. Way back in the day when absolutly everyone was trying to piggy-back on Yu-Gi-Oh's success a relatively entertaing cars game came out called Duel Masters. One of the support cards was called Sonic Wings. Its been one of my user names for years now. And considering my OC is a pegasus Sonicwing seemed to fit. Better than Exedrine or Dionysus anyway.
  21. Star Wars: The Old Republic, World of Tanks, DC Universe online and replaying Mass Effect for what I'm relatively certain is the 20th time.
  22. Nope, it's mine! MNE!! Also, if I told anyone one of two things would happen. A) Massive overpopulation of Equestria or We're off to see the men in the white coats.
  23. Trampled to death by millions of tiny elephants.
  24. First I have to mention my all time favourite movie: Secondhand Lions. Great coming of age story and a good "Live life while you can" moral too. Then there are the obvious ones like Breakfast Club, 1968 Planet of the Apes, 2001: A Space Odessy, Terminator trilogy, A Clockwork Orange, Silence of the Lambs and Donnie Darko. There are some good indie films like Cash Back and Lust for Love that deserve a mention. Theres Serenity too, but to get into Serenity you need to like Firefly and if you liked Firefly you've probably already seen Serenity. Still, I can't talk about movies and not mention Serenity
  25. Yes, thank god. I thought I was the only one. It was a good movie, don't get me wrong, but by the time I had gotten around to watching it; it had been so over hyped that it couldn't possibly meet expectations and all I could take away from it was disapointment. The whole movie was spoiled by rediculous expectations. I was also decidedly underwhelmed by "Let it go" having heard countless versions on repeat whever I went.
