Twilight is an alicorn, one of the most powerful ponies in this cartoon, she'd probably win with ANYBODY, if she really wanted (though, if she didn't want or was weak or couldn't concentrate properly, then there IS a possibility that AJ would win). Two, Twilight is the Princess of Friendship. Her power comes from her relationships with her friends, so why would she fight with AJ? Three, I see no logical reason to start or continue this topic, because the answer is plainly obvious (look at my two previous points). 

the point is just a fun what if. anyone knows  they would not fight and if they did the winner would be witch ever one was in the right or he her right mind. and if its that pointless to you why even post here?

Twilight sparkle I would say physically is probably the weakest of the ponies a its now cannon that earth ponies have enhanced strength b. Pegasus fly even with magic that builds strength c. Twilight herself was in school most of her life so she focus much more on her mind and magic than her strength.

her magic is her trump card. I do believe that given time if twilight ever turned evil she could be a bigger threat than even Terick. mainly because she would study more kind of and nastier magic

that's a good start on understanding. I never said that twilight was not deeply effected. how ever if you do take lesson zero into account it dose show quite clear is that twilight has and still did as of the time of the wedding way overreact to situations and tends to draw the worst possible conclusions from them. so her friends and teacher do have to take that into account when dealing with her. Really in lesson zero Twilight did blow things way out of proportion. and if you really think about it her friends really treated her worse in lesson zero. she was clearly troubled and her friends just  laughed in her face. in this chase she was given a time out. and if she as shown was correct she would have been forced to think about plan b. again she was clearly devastated because she thought HER actions would drive her brother away. and welcome back?

do you really want someone worse than discord with the powers of chaos itself? you might be able to kill the being holding the power but you cant kill chaos itself.

besides this show is about the magic of friendship and forgiveness is a big deal on friendship.

I for one don't believe that twilight was acting like a monster. she believed she was right(latter showing she was) she acted on her convictions its it really so bad if you make the person trying to take over canterlot cry?  I am simply of the mindset that her friends and mentor did what was fair in their eyes! you seen plenty of twilight at that point in her life her mentor knows that sometimes she needs to just sit there and think for a bit. even if she was convinced that she was right the "time out" would provide her time to rethink her plan and come up with a better one!

I HATED THIS EPISODE!!!!!!! I thought Twi would be the Princess of Stars NOT Friendship. At least there was a Luna/Celestia/Cadence song. They'd really needed to do that for the entire show.

all her lessons were about friendship in fact the entire show is about the magic of friendship add to that that twilight was studying the magic of friendship. how can anyone possibly get princess of stars?

On the rest of what you said it would seem we are mostly of the same mind, though the last part I am unxertain what your meaning. Leaving Twilight alone in what is considered to be the most secure of places is like sending her into the caverns themselves? Sounds contradictory... unless that is what you intended?

what I meant was the was left alone in a place believed to be secure. and the infamous seven were not some how responsible for twilight latter being banished by Crystalis aka chees legs.

I have long ago accepted the fact that twilight's action vs the fake cadence was addressed fairly and deserved no farther punishment. My point has always been that the "wrong" the infamous 7 did was blown way out of proportion. I am even admitting that It was a bit cold! I am just saying it was not the equivalent to being traders!

even in lesson zero the lessons was take your friends fears and concerns to heart. what she was conserned about was still in reality a nothing concern. twilight caused major chaos in ponyvill over possibly having a friendship letter be a bit late. wish was proven to be a non concern. and spike being a very good spike!

the point of all this is take her concerns into account and that is not the same as belive any crazy thing I say.  twilight is known for blowing things way out of proportion and she needs to be forced back to reality every now and again. but all this is pointless really because leaving twilight alone in at the time believed to be one of the most secure places in equeriea is the same as if they sent twilight to the caverns themselves.

Yea I am not accusing anyone of anything just asking how you think it should have gone. and for the record it was clear that twilight thought that Cadence hand changed and no longer deserved to be married to Shining armor. she did not suspect that cadence was a fake! it was pretty clear to the audience because it was suppose to be.

Twilight did think that cadence turned evil I will totally grant you that.

the question is simply what should the infamous 7 done different. and remember her suspicions were addressed by her brother.  I personally would think it would be awesome if twilight could have talked Luna into going into fake cadence's dream and discovered the fake that way!

and even before that what should they have done before hand and please remember no one had the slightest clue even twilight that cadence  was not the true cadence?

No, it doesn't make me feel better. In my experience, something this epic is difficult to follow up, and I'm really afraid they're going to have to go so over the top to one-up this finale that there won't be any magic in it.

 

Maybe I really am in a tiny minority here, but I don't want to see this show jump the shark. I don't want to see it go to ridiculous extremes in an effort to keep its momentum. I don't want to see them set the bar so high that they can't possibly top it.

 

The next super-villain to come along is going to have to do even more than Tirek did. It won't be enough to just nearly destroy Equestria and subvert everyone and all but kill its leaders. Either the next villain has to cross a line that I'm sure this show doesn't want to cross (like actually killing someone), has to find some incredibly unique thing to do that nobody's thought of, or everyone's going to go "ho hum, seen it before."

I think Fireblitz would say that Celestia and Luna are not queens since they're not really all powerful like actual queens since they have made sins in their lifetimes that were far too great to make up for at the time. Also, he would say to you: while Luna is co-ruler of Equestria, she's still adjusting to the times considering her 1000 yearlong exile since she was taken over by Nightmare Moon and since the truth of how the first changeling invasion was revealed to everypony after Canterlot fell once again to the changelings before Chrysalis' end, the common ponies are now left to take charge of the situation and are now putting their faith and trust in Celestia to the ultimate test; that's what he would say.

 

A real queen must be willing to take the credit when things are good and the blame when they go bad and make huge mistakes that could cost her the respect of her subjects and her honor. You do have a point but with Celestia and Luna being princesses, they don't have all power to do what they believe Equestria's current age should go as and they would have to give some of their power to the common ponies since they're the lifeblood of Equestria, not just the two princesses.

the only reason there title is Princess is because Hasbro thought queen sounded to evil. they may be called princess but make no mistake they are queen's in in every way but name!

         Take responsibility from the point of  the rule is different than from anyone else. Royalty as portrayed in the series do not go on trial! and there is noting to indicate that Celestia gave up any of her power to the common pony! it is not like it is in England now!  Celestia Luna and Cadance are rules and are NOT subject to the common law.  making amends for mistakes is very important but they by NO means would be subject to a trial of any kind. hell there isn't even a church to keep them in line.  the only thing keeping the royal sisters in line is themselves.

You are still hateing her for how she treated twilight simply because she was twilight. just about any other pony in the realm would get a much harsher punishment. Hard to Belieave that so many folks are still so upset over what amounts to a bit of a time out!  you cant not count Crystalis actions against anyone but Crystalis.  and now because of that suddenly they are not even rulers of their own land? you got to be kidding me!   Please stop putting Twilight on such a pedestal she is far from perfect and is treated as such! and her actions are excused or played down so much they might as well be called perfect!

in the show twilgiht's reaction was I did something very wrong. not them dam "friends" of mine are Monsters. she put the blame where it belonged on HER! Look face facts Twilight messed up.  she was proven to be correct that dose not make her actions any more correct! O she got sent to some underground dungeon BY Cryustalis not her friends and not Celesta or her brother.

Celestia face the canterlot court? what? um she IS the canterlot court. the title princess is hasbo's idea she and Luna's prober title is Queen as in Rules of the realm they answer only to themselves.

Glad to read about the readying cards each turn. The first and only time I played the guy that taught me said you had to pay to ready a character. His damn parasprite exhausted another character each turn so if I didn't have enough action tokens all my ponies at a problem became exhausted. Gotta remember to tell him that...might not have beaten me if I'd have known that. And if you don't me asking a question, Do you score a point each turn if you're meeting the requirements to a problem and you opponent hasn't met theirs? Like I know you get 1 point then however many bonus points if you get it first. But then say if it takes your opponent 2 more turns to confront the problem do you get a point each turn up until that? That was how my new Brony friend showed me, but he was wrong about the exhaustion thing so maybe he was wrong about that too. Must admit the rulebook kinda sucks.

in short yes you get a point every turn your confronting a problem.

the situation I was confused about was a card that gives colored power Only during the main phase. so it seems that additional power would not help confront the problem as in that's done in the scoring phase. but would help in getting other cards on the board.

that was at least 20% cooler!

OK I have a question do you "confront" the problem at the main phase or during the scoring phase. and if you do "confront during the scoring phase what is the point of giving your cards + power except to be able to bring other friends to play?
