  1. Favorite characters are Rarity and PInkie Pie - though probably Rarity a little more since Pinkie does sometimes get on my nerves. Twilight is next, then Applejack, and unfortunately, RD and Fluttershy are tied for last. I don't really particularly care about the background ponies, and I'm not a CMC fan (though my favorite is Sweetie Belle). I love all the princesses, even Cadence.
  2. I'm not really sure if I count as a furry or not. I don't identify as one, and I probably never will. However, I do have two 'fursonas' (not bipedal, though) - although I'm not sure if that's exaaaactly what they are to me - but they've been with me for almost 10 years now, I do love them a lot, they do represent aspects of me, and I draw them all the time, so maybe by some loose definitions some people may consider me one. Oh, and my aforementioned fursonas are a cat and a snow-leopard/barn owl gryphon (my avatar is the ponyfied version of her), and as I said, they're both quadrupedal and not very humanistic apart from being intelligent and having human emotion. But I consider them to be extensions of me.
  3. Last I tried, it was somewhere over a minute ... probably not more than a minute and a half. Ha, I do that too.
  4. Nancy Drew books. I started reading them when I was 9 years old, and I in a couple years I had bought over 200 of them. I still have them all - I don't think I could ever, ever part with them. I also own all the games. Purple things. I have a looooot of purple stuff. Almost everything I own is purple. I love purple. CATS the musical stuff. I'm a huge fan of the musical CATS, so I have a decent collection of merchandise, cast recordings, et cetera. Pigs. I love pigs! My collection isn't very big, but I'm counting it anyway.
  5. Hello! I was born in New Delhi, but I was adopted by American parents, so I don't speak any Hindi. I wish I did. I've tried learning how to write devanagari, though, and that's been fun. Likewise! I got into the show near the end of the first season. Someone posted a clip of the song Winter Wrap Up, and I was totally intrigued, and started watching the series in order! The first episode I got to watch air live was Over a Barrel Glad to meet you!
  6. Oh really? Hello, LED Dasher!! Anyway, I know what you mean about languages - they're so wonderful! - but unfortunately, no, I don't know any. I was born in India, but I've lived here in the US since I was 2, so I'm pretty much pure American now!
  7. My favorite books are: The Little White Horse (it's for younger people, but I don't care) Les Misérables (amazing words) The Secret Garden (beautiful, beautiful classic) The Last Unicorn (classic fantasy - read it in my childhood, years before I even knew there was a movie - I wish more people knew it was a book!) The Nancy Drew series (I own over 200 Nancy Drew books) Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West (read it before the musical ever opened, and I love it hundreds of times more)
  8. Where the Red Fern Grows is one required book I absolutely adored. It was only 6th grade, but still! We hadn't even finished it in class when I went out and bought my own copy. For months I just kept re-reading and re-reading it. I also really did like Of Mice and Men. Though it's kind of a funny thing - it was assigned to us to read over our week-long spring break, but I had totally forgotten to read it until the Sunday night before school the next day! I was very lucky that it's not a very thick book! And I liked Animal Farm and 1984. And these weren't required per se, but they were some of the books we had to choose from for summer reading: I Know This Much is True and On a Pale Horse.
  9. Sapana is my tweaking of the Hindi word for 'dream'. I was born in India, so it's sort of appropriate, and I love the word and meaning of 'dream'. It's also the name of my 'fursona', so it's very personal to me.
  10. I'm Indian Indian as in from India, not Native American.
  11. My favorite drinks are: lemon-flavored water (I can't stand plain water), teas (especially Earl Grey, or vanilla-y types), soda (cream soda, vanilla coke, and sprite), and most of all, hazelnut-flavored steamed milk! I don't drink alcohol. Not out of any principals, I just don't have anyone to drink with.
  12. When I look back, I'd have to say that 7th grade was my favorite year. I was always pretty good in school, so the workload wasn't a problem - although it was when classes became more advanced, so they were more interesting. I definitely enjoyed all my classes, and I had good teachers, too. But it was mostly my favorite because of my friends. I became much, MUCH closer with a friend I had made the year before, and also with a sort-of friend I had known since kindergarten but had never really talked to. These two people were amazing additions to my life. It may not be directly school-related, but I was the happiest that year because of them.
  13. Thanks everyone! Haha thank you! I am glad you approve. Frogs, eh? Interesting! I welcome the nickname (I love nicknames). Actually, Sapana is my non-pony 'OC'/fursona, sort of, whom I've had for years, and if I do make a pony OC, it will be based on her.
  14. I drink whole milk almost exclusively - but I do enjoy almond milk, especially vanilla!
  15. Actual babies? As in newborns/infants, and not toddlers or older? I like them okay. They're cute (in an ugly way), and baby cries actually don't annoy me. But I do not want to be left in charge of them, because I have no idea what to do with them. It's when babies get older that I start having problems with them ...
  16. Disney is my life, and has been forever, and always will be. I'm talking about the main animation studio and their main films, not any tv series or any other studios Disney owns or partners with. I have never stopped watching Disney films, I know most of them by heart, and watch every single one of them every few months or so. To me, Disney isn't "my childhood", because it's never stopped being a part of me.
  17. I like both peanut butter and oatmeal - which is why I usually make peanut butter oatmeal cookies! I'm not a huge chocolate lover, so I'll leave the chocolate chip cookies for everyone else.
  18. Heya there ... I'm Sapana! I'm older than 20, that's all I'll say. I've been watching MLP since S1 - Over a Barrel was the first episode I watched live - and I originally started watching because I heard the song Winter Wrap Up on Tumblr, and, well, that was that. Best ponies are Rarity and Pinkie Pie. I love to draw, but it's only a hobby, and I haven't drawn any MLP fanart, or OCs - but who knows, maybe the inspiration will strike me soon! I literally don't have any mlp friends, either IRL or online, so I hope to get get to know some of the people here - you all seem lovely!
