I'm working on the game again so your help is wanted, basically the game is heavily based off the world created in Kkat in Fallout Equestria. So nuclear, basically the story of the game is a big war erupts and bombs start falling, the ponies who lived in equestira are forced into under ground bunkers called stables, now hundreds of years after the war you leave your home in stable 10 and must brave the new and war-torn Equestria.

I'm not the only one that questioned that

All I heard her say was "I'm apple.. uh-oh"  I never heard the additional "li" that I've seen claimed... Best guess is people are hearing the end of apple and hearing the "L" come off as something more..

 But TBH, not knowing the supposed reference I just figured she was doing a generic victory dance and naming herself in the process.

She did start with "apple" though, but what came next.. def questionable.. In my experience it would be the individual naming themselves as awesome.. but it literally could've gone anywhere.

 

Either way, I found her dance and song absolutely hilarious. These kinds of subtle yet fun shout outs to either front (pop culture or the fans) work fine IMO as they can add to the show in so many ways without detracting from it or being one of those head tilting moments of "wtf was that?".

It's the way she said it also that pointed to it being a reference, for example when she spells out the word (like in the videos) then she says ain't no other pony find a map like me in reference to, ain't no other pony troll it down like me (from the vid) and also it was in the same tune.

like I said, I wasn't aware someone else was already doing this, all though if enough people want I could continue working on it anyway?

i cant wait to see this game once a beta version is reliesed i love the idea of makeing a game sorry i cant contribute any help im no artist im just a programer i am actualy in the middile of programing another game (with game maker studio) but thats not important... lol but anyway i cant wait to try your game  it is a great idea /)

So I just finished Apple Pinkie Pie and I saw the greatest thing I have ever seen in my life! well almost. It was almost as great as the time I went *gasps* but who could top that. This was a line spoken by Applebloom, during the raft while she was looking for the map and she starts singing, and I shit you not this was actually what she sang, "M-to the A to the P, ain't no other pony find a map like me I'm Appleici-uh oh (as she drops the map)" As you would probably guess, on hearing this I got extremely excited and posted a post on the mlp forum and that's where then meets up with now! so yeah it's just fun knowing that hasbro knows we're out there and someone who gets to make some important decisions watches are content, it was a nice reference and I love acknowledgement from hasbro. What are some of you other guys' favorite brony shout outs in the mlp series?

I'm sorry, I was informed that this has already been done, so I am instead working on a different fan game, If you want to make Pixel art icons for that one PM me, but I wont be starting that until my next month

Hi so I have 2 fan game ideas but it seems for the time being I only have the budget (and attention span of the rest of my team) to make one. I will get the other done eventually but I would really like to know which of these I should make right now.

1. A guitar hero style rhythm game with where you play as Vinyl Scratch and you must save Equestria with your music by Guitar Hero style playing various songs from the show, as well as remixes of them.

2. a top-down rouge-like dungeon crawler game, In this one twilight effs up a spell and the Mane6 get teleported to a secret dungeon underneath the Canterlot castle, as they try to escape they find some deep and disturbing secrets about the princess.

that's about all I'm going to spoil about the plots of either game, so please tell me which one I should start working on first. Thanks

Yeah you DID read it wrong,    I was excited and typed that immediately after watching the new episode.  Have you even seen the newest episode?  What I typed was accurate in every way to the episode so how the hell could it have been a joke?  Excuse my implied tone and I know determining the way something is meant to be taken is difficult to some when only given text, but having my enthusiasm mistaken for a JOKE of all things quite frankly felt insulting.

I saw her cutiemark change in the episode and this topic was the first thing to enter my mind, I couldn't wait to share what I had learned.  I didn't realize I wouldn't be taken seriously.

 

As for 'DESTINY', maybe constantly mentioning destiny in the season 3 closer DOESN'T refer to what a pony will be doing, without choice, for the rest of his or her life, but instead a pony's destiny is to get a cutiemark in general.

 

"It's got to be my destiny!" TRANSLATION: "Having this particular cutiemark has got to be my destiny!"

And

"And its what my cutiemark is telling me!"  TRANSLATION: "This is how i'm going to interpret my cutiemark!"

Notice how they all interpreted their cutiemarks incorrectly(or differently than the original cutiemark owner had seen it) and as a result ended up miserable.  It wasn't their passion.

 

It's all about how a pony views their cutiemark.

 

As a related note, Rarity's love of gemstones and the resulting cutiemark could have led her to believe she was supposed to be a jeweler or gemologist, but instead she chose to stick with something she enjoyed and incorporated her new-found talent into her life, instead of trying to incorporate her life into her talent.

Examples:

Twilight could have thought her talent had something to do with stars even though that somewhat conflicted with how she obtained said cutiemark.

Pinkie pie might have been led to believe it wasn't her PARTIES that had made her family happy but instead the balloons she had brought along to the party.

 

What these other two cutiemaks could represent:

Minuette(assuming we're going with her fan given talent of dentistry) is pretty accurate if you think about it.  Ever got that little 'goodie' bag from a dentist after a check up or routine cleaning?  Ever receive a small minute glass to help you learn how long to brush?(two minutes usually)  Well there you go.  Not that obscure.

 

Ditzy/Derpy's cutiemark, if taking the explanation given in 'Doctor Whooves and Assistant', could well imply her so called 'bubbly personality'.  Or in other words, her ability to take things in stride.  If we were to say Derpy has her own life going on that is not depicted in the show we could assume she was born with those silly yet debilitating eyes.  Silver Spoon and Diamond Tiara have shown us that ponies, especially young ponies, can be quite cruel to others despite what their culture is based and founded on.(Harmony and the elements that make it up) 

Ditzy's cutiemark is bubbles.  She has a 'bubbly personality'.  The result of keeping a positive attitude in the face of adversity.  Adversity caused by her noticeably different eyes.

As obscure and unrelated as her cutiemark SEEMS and as unlikely as it sounds, Derpy Hooves/Ditzy Doo's special talent(to me) is resilience.

But we could just as easily say she's meant to blow bubbles or make soap for the rest of her life.

K Sorry, I knew you weren't joking on the fact the fluttershys mark did change, I sorta just mistook the enthusiasm in the paragraph you wrote as laughter. My bad. anyway you bring up some good points but maybe I should update my original question, we kind of already knew that a ponies cutie mark could change through some sort of disease, such as Vampirism or Cutie Pox, but I do like your explanation of the use of the term destiny in Magical Mystery Cure, and it's helped me see my favorite episode in a new light.

I'm sorry, like I said I don't read the comic, I'll recolor her just give me a while to fix the hat and do damonator's skin.

A pony's cutie mark can not change, because it is their special talent that is connected to their destiny and who they are meant to be. You can't just change it even if you try to find other things that you're good at.

I don't like the use of the term destiny here, and this implies that there is no free will in equestria, a ponies special talent is different from there destiny, it's one thing to be really good at something, and another to have to do that something for the rest of their lives. Also a cutiemark being a ponies destiny would also throw concepts for characters with more obscure cutie marks, like rarity, twilight, pinky pie, minuette and derpy hooves out the window.

The most recent episode (Bats!) proved that!  Fluttershy's cutiemark changed from three butterflys to three bats when she became a batpony!

 

It's too early after the episode to find any pics of it right now, but when it eventually ends up on youtube, pay close attention to her thigh when she is transformed.     

So to put a logical spin on what I read to be somewhat of a joke comment (I'm really sorry if I was reading wrong and you weren't trying to be funny) something destiny changing happened to Fluttershy and her cutie mark changed, I'm going to have to agree with you and keypassion here, and say that a ponies cutie mark could change, given the right (destiny altering) circumstances.
