The light coming from his horn made things easier, but it didn't do much. He felt like there was no way out of this mess now. "Come on..." he thought to himself. "Where is your usual sense of direction? You can't even locate some sort of previously walked path." He was beginning to feel frustrated with this new form. He couldn't do anything and had no way of getting proper food. He couldn't make a weapon to use, he couldn't find his way, he couldn't start a fire...
An idea came to his mind. When he said light earlier his horn glowed. "Maybe..." he thought. Perhaps unicorns could use magic. He aimed his head down and said "fire." An orange flame sparked from his horn. It was a pitiful fire, but it seemed to work. The flame harmlessly landed on the ground and fizzled out. He let out a sigh. He went out to go find some wood and material to start a fire. After all, this could be the start of him actually figuring everything out.
He went out into the forest and collected some dry moss and leaves, and picked up some old sticks lying on the ground. He paused for a moment as he saw how difficult it was carrying all this. He put it down and thought. "Hmm... if i can start a fire with magic, can i move stuff with it?" He focused on one of the sticks, and imagined it coming off the ground. Sure enough it slowly rose into the air. "Huh. That was easy!" But the moment he stopped focusing on it, the stick dropped to the ground.
This was a problem. How could he focus on the stick while walking at the same time? He could see it was going to take some practice. He would also have to learn how to move the other things with it. "I knew it couldn't be that easy." He said to himself. Even in a world like this things had to be complicated some how. He let out a sigh, which he seemed to do a lot here, and decided to just practice multitasking and using his magic. It would be neccesary if he was to survive out here. But now things were beginning to look up.
