  1. Haha, oh no. Oh no.

Let me tell you a little something about this whole thing. If you say you're part of the Chaotic Legion... you're being Lawful. You're all coalescing into an organized side, right? And you're trying to fight against Lawful because you want to obey the rules of this whole exercise; get more members on your side and defeat the other. You might "win" by having more members or whatever... but ideologically? You've already lost.

Maybe you think Chaotic Evil villains are cooler, or perhaps, you associate Chaotic with Evil. It's fun to root for the villains. Except, well... Lawful Evil is much more interesting. Lawful Evil is a favorite alignment of Manipulative Bastards, Knight Templars, and other characters that like having goals and motivations other than "EVIL AND CHAOS".

Voldemort is the Dark Lord, but who do you hate more?

You can go the Even Evil Has Standards route with them, or if you like your baddies to be really despicable, Lawful Evil is where you find those villains who are terrifying because they seem real. The guys who you can totally understand the thought process of in all its horrible detail. Maybe even a person you could meet on the street...

However, perhaps you joined Chaotic because you want to root for the rebels. Maybe you hate authority or the establishment or whatever and you want to go DOWN WITH DA RULES. After all, I just said Lawful Evil usually has more realistic villains. Does that mean that, realistically, Lawful is more Evil?

No, it doesn't. Because Lawful Good is all about making the right rules. Lawful Good doesn't stand around when there's injustice just because DA RULES (that's Lawful Neutral). Lawful Good people will overthrow a corrupt government so they can make a better one. It's a harder decision for them than, say, Chaotic Good, but Lawful Good is all about trying to improve the system rather than giving up. Lawful Good is about justice, basically.

I totally didn't paraphrase the previous paragraph from Order Of The Stick or anything...

AND THAT'S WHY EVERYONE HERE SHOULD FRICKIN JOIN LAWFUL ALREADY

    This...

  2. Wow, that's awesome... really well done man. You got the angle and shading perfectly. The only thing I have to say is that maybe his head shape could be more defined.

For example, have a look at this here image.

    tf2_spy_update_17652.jpg

His head and face has a certain defined shape. His nose is fairly big/wide, and he's generally got fairly angry eyes. His eyes in the picture you drew are a little big, but that may be art style. And like Thunder Knight said, the facial hair is a little over the top. :P

Other than that, this picture is freaking awesome.

Buck now I gotta go play TF2 now. S'cuse me.

  3. What benefits do I get joining you over chaos? you guys got good dental and a good health plan?

    Harmony, my friend.

Chaos is filled with tyrany, a world of unprecedented tragedy lies behind the chaotic empire.

Join the Harmonic or Lawful empires and you will actually *get* health care. Oh, and eternal awesome. Can't forget the awesome.

  4. @, @,

    Backup has arrived!

    To Glory!

In the last war, one of the major factors of winning seemed to revolve around the number of people who ended up joining a particular faction. Maybe, if we can make this faction a little bit more attractive, more people might join! After all, people seem to join the chaotic faction because of its fun/cool factor. Now, I'm not saying that being lawful wouldn't be 'fun', but we might need our own selling point if we want to get more members and win this war.

If you take a look at the numerous revolutions, groups, and interests found all throughout the lounge, you might notice that the ones that are big and popular would sometimes have a siggy or two to give their members some identity. But, in reality, this not only allows people to truly feel well defined within the group, but rather it also shows other members that such groups exist. This is achieved when members see other members with matching sigs that have a similar theme, which might lead unknowing members to ask: "What's with all these sigs that are about _____? I think I'll check it out." Then boom! Potentially new recruits look out for our topics until they stumble upon threads like these!

Of course, in this case, it is our display-names that give us our identities. The above paragraph up there just serves as a suggestion. And although these wars were said to be just an 'impromptu' sort of thing, sigs can still be taken down anytime anyway, so I still think that it's a viable supplement in making these wars a little bit more ... successful. laugh.png

I'd love to try and make one for this current war, but I can't seem to think of a good design concept that would portray this faction nicely...

I'll try to make something if I come up with a good idea, though!

    ---

This suggestion may be applied by both factions, by the way!

Gotta be honest, my motivation ain't high because really this whole thing is just a popularity contest. xP ~CD~ is hugely popular and everyone is naturally attracted to Discord because Discord himself is funny, a troll and a great character. For this reason people tend to lean towards the chaotic side. I doubt fun-ness has much to do with it. I'm just keeping a 'balance.'

  5. Ponies of the MLP Forums!

It would appear something has begun. Something that has not happened for over a year. The ~Chaotic~ Legion has arisen again. Do you know what this means? This means something very serious is about to begin... a battle! A great battle that will go down in the history of the MLP Forums! A battle of...

Wait wait hold on here... wat.

    img-1917581-1-5sr4qJ2.png

M'kay. So, there's this guy. This guy's named ~Chaotic Discord~. He's apparently made some sort of thread and name trend. Apparently everyone is supposed to rally under the '~Chaotic~' name and 'fight the power.'

    u gaize

    *looks at the staff.*

I won't be scared until all the moderators and administrators join the ~chaotic~ legion. Quite frankly I find this highly amusing.

Why did I make this thread? Simple.

    Because I can.

NOW RALLY, TROOPS OF LAWFULNESS's LET US FLY/WALK/TELEPORT/WHATEVER TO GLORY AND VICTORY. LET US HUMOR THE ~CHAOTIC~ LEGION. BECAUSE I HONESTLY DO NOT EXPECT THIS TO GO ANYWHERE. (Perpetual disregard stalemates OHBOY)

  6. So guess who's on a brief break from moderation duties on the MLP Forums?

    This guy.

I'm currently (at the time of writing) in Palm Springs, California, taking some much needed time off from school and a variety of online work. So naturally I took my time off to do stupid things.

So naturally when I see about four different kinds of hot sauce I have to torture myself and find out which one's the spiciest.

Little did I know the restaraunt was holding out on me. Apparently they were hiding the spiciest of them all, the Habanaro sauce, in the *back room* where the cooking is done. Our waiter brought it out just for me without even asking.

NOTE: I still felt this half an hour later before it finally cooled down. (After about 6 ice cubes.)

That's basically the story. The sauces I had were:

    • Generic Hotsauce
    • Mild Jalapeno Tabasco Sauce
    • SomeOtherOneICan'tRemember
    • Tabasco Sauce
    • Super Secret Cooks Habanaro Tabasco Sauce

Don't ask myself why I put myself through this stuff, I just couldn't leave that restaurant without trying each and every kind of hotsauce they had. (Apparently they used to have the next step up from Habanaro, but no one used it so it was discontinued.) Yes I am weak in the tongue. Yes I am crazy. Yes, as a matter of fact I never use hotsauce. In fact I do not understand the people that put this stuff on their bucking food. The cartoons weren't kidding, you really do go red in the face.

Who knows, maybe I'll do more stupid things on my mod vacation and post them around the forum lounge.

P.S. Yes, I did lick that drop off a knife.
