so do we all post our reactions to the guard snow at the same time?

Coal watches in mild and silent disbelief that the guard would actually try and use force to get the payment when there is almost nopony in town that'd have that kind of money on hand in ponyville. He starts inwardly boiling, this wasn't just a mayor who was bad at his job, this was outright coruption and he planned to do something about it. Not now though, making a scene here wouldn't do him anypony any good. He'd wait until after this idiocy before getting the ball rolling and after seeing that other pony's reaction it looks like he might be able to get some help in that regard. All he does though for the moment it give the guard a look saying You try that with me and I'll buck you're teeth out.

Hmmm, I apparently misunderstood then, I thought that that by post your reactions you meant go ahead so we could get our posts for the day in, once again my bad. I should really take more time when reading through things. I think I'll just play it safe from now on and shut up until it's my turn.

There were numerous reasons why he felt reluctant to pay the sum they asked for. Including the facts that he for one hadn't voted for anypony to be mayor in the first place, He didn't bring any money with him when he came here, and he probobly couldn't scrounge together 100 bits even if he wanted to. There wasn't much somepony could do to get money in Ponyville these days. With that he stares calmly at the guard who held the bucket out at him and his thoughts went off in a peculiar direction. He wasn't thinking of how crazy it seemed to be asking for so much out of the blue. What really got his brain going was how in the hay was this going to solve all of our problems? I mean if you take away everypony's money they're not going to be able to buy as much and the town'll probobly just sink farther than it already had. If this plan had made sense to him he might've wanted to work to get those 100 bits together, but seeing as the only thing he could really see this going towards was lining somepony's pocket he decided he wasn't going to pay this ridiculous tax at all. He'd never say that out loud though, and from his face you'd think he was completely impassive about the subject.

Coal was sleeping rather comfortably in his bed when the yells of the crier drag him out of his sleep. He shakes his head once before getting out of bed and walks out of his house yawning to see what al the fuss was about over at city hall. "I wonder what could be so important?" As he continues walking down the street yawning on his way to city hall, he was not a morning pony.

Is there any way specific way I should introduce my character?

Coal awakes with a yawn and slowly gets up. Having had his nap after a long trip he decides it's a good time to head into town and see what there is to eat . He walks back into town and spots an open-air eatery he sits down and orders a salted grass sandwich. As he waits he wonders about what happened with that meteor, eh, it was probobly somepony else's job.

Name: Leokul Silverkin Age: 18 Gender: Male Species: Human Appearance: A Human of Average stature with his black hair hanging loosely and a clean-Shaven face. He carries himself with an confident stride and always has a smirk on his face. He wears a deep dark brown cloak at almost all times with a silver stiching of a silver dragon on the right arm. Personality: He often speaks jokingly in most situations but knows when to be serious. He likes finding secrets and meeting chalenges that test his inteligence. He will usually avoid fight if possible, or strike first, and from the shadows, if it's un-avoidable. He also tends to have a flare for the dramatic that tends to get him in trouble from time to time. Character Traits: He is fascinated with dragons, having been told that he has a silver Dragon ancestor, the source of his family's name, and he is constantly searching for hard proof of this and anything that relates to dragons. They uterly fascinate him. He will usually leave what he calls a "calling card" whenever he steals something from someone, leaving only a silver coin in place of whatever he stole. Backstory: Leokul Hails from a remote village, not found on almost any map. It rests in the shadow of a frost covered mountain and it was here he spent his Childhood. He spent the early years of his life under the watchfull gaze of his doting mother and Father. They would tell him the tales of his great, great, great grandmother, Nethana. The Daring adventure-er and her many exciting adventures. The way all of the tales ended however is with her having children with a silver dragon, which is how their line recieved the name, silverkin. His Father is the one from the suposed draconic ancestry but he shows no evidence of it, and neither does Leokul. Despite this, and the scoffs he recieved around the village, he wholeheartedly believes that he truly does descend from dragons and is utterly fascinated by them. As soon as he had come of age, he set out to begin his own adventure, for fame and fortune, but also to learn all he could about dragons. He has spent the past few years of his life of these same adventures. Only a few months after he began he was injured and robbed by bandits, he was taken in by the Scribe Luthane, during this time Luthane taught him some of the scribe's techniques for writing. When he was fully healed he set out on his way again, although he still stops by to see the old scribe to this very day. He has been on several minor adventures since then and has a few stories to tell, including how he explored the tomb of a long dead warlord (not much inside but dust and bones) and Fought off a band of pirates (aided the crew of the ship he was on against an attack). Currently however he isn't doing much except lounging around in the town he is currently is in, and bemoaning the near empty feeling in his coin pouch.

alrighty, then I'll keep it down to controlled hysteria, after all he needs to be able to go into towns for supplies he cant get his hands on himself. So he'll just be a wacky person who uses a very off key sense of logic, you say potato, he says Cucumber. With the limitation I would think he'd have trouble working with "constuctive" magics, those often require a stable mind and alot of patience. So he would be able to make something blow up with almost no problem (depending on what it is of course) but putting it back together would be much more difficult. As well as his reliance on magic has lead him to be less physically fit, so he wouldn't be able to do the same physical activities as others could fdo. hows that?

Cutie mark: A Hazmat symbol Personality: A Crazern is a Colt who is always unpredictable, he could be a tripping you up one minute and helping you up the next. That being said he does have a moral code that he opperates by, and openly proclaims as such 1. Never leave anypony to die in the wastes 2. No pranks that cause mortal injuries on friends (although what he constitutes a "friend" is hard to determine) 3. At least one instance of magical mayhem per day Backstory: Crazern was born out in the wastes, in a small "town" that was nothing more that a few piles of sticks that almost get nocked over in the wind. He learned early on the dangers of the wastes, but that never stopped him from being reckless. There have been many times when he has gone off into the wastes and on those journies he came up with the first rule of his moral code, he was left for dead in the wastes and swore to never to do that to anypony. It was after almost dieing out in the wastes that he awoke to his high affinity to magic and managed to save himself. Since then the most reckless thing he's done to date is delve into a "Stable" and when he left there was a fireball trailing after him, to this day he hasn't told anypony what happened and only gives them a maniacal grin. Other: He has a very high affiinity for magic and uses his abilities to keep him alive on his reckless jaunts off into the wastes, his powers do have limits however and the most he could ever pull off was colapsing a semi structural building with magic, but was so drained as to be almost unable to move afterwards. Beyond that limit of sheer power he tends to use his powers for most anything he can think of, be it a simple as showing off of his abilities with a fireworks show to fighting off ghouls with a fireball.

Coal arrives in the town square and sees the large lack of interest in the fact a meteor just hurtled through the sky. "What, do rocks always fly through the sky around here?" Shaking his head he walks out of the town. He eventually finds a shady tree in a nearby meadow and decides to take a nap, there'll be time for excitement after he's had some rest. anypony passing by would notice a grey colored Colt lounging under a tree,

Coal is walking through the streets of a new town, he usually goes from place to place. Staying for awhile before moving on. As he does so however he hears a noise in the sky and sees a large rocks hurtleing through the sky and crashing off in the distance. He looks off in the direction it flew off in and raises an eyebrow at it before shrugging and continueing to walk, might as well try and find out what is going on at the moment, the town square is usually a good place to do that.

Name: Coal Age: Teenager Gender: Male Species: Earth Pony Appearance: Cutie Mark: A cutie Mark resembling a pile of coal, although he has never told anyone how exactly he got it or what it's meaning is. Personality: A usually mild manered Colt, usually only adding a short remark to any conversation. He is known to react to most dangerous or uncomfortable situations with a calm demeanor he will take action on occasion if there is any immediate danger. Backstory: Coal is from a small remote village in the mountains, about two years ago he left the village and whenever someone asks him about his home he quickly turns the subject away, leaving little known about his actual past. Other: Knows quite a bit about rocks, in part from growing up in the mountains and also due to being an earth pony. He can differentiate the differences between types of rocks with usually just a glance.
