  1. Life Star continued to unpack and place the contents of her saddlebags around the berth. She sat back and took a moment to retie her mane and take a moment to analyze the room itself. A very standard issue kind of thing, bland. Though it probably would have been unnecessary to make the berths much larger or elaborate. Standing back up, she rolled her shoulders and pulled out her old "medical manual", as she called it. To be perfectly honest, it was just a collection of advice given to her by old friends from boot camp. It made for good reading in a pinch and she couldn't think of anything better to do while she waited for... well, something to happen. Life Star wasn't as familiar with how these things worked as she used to be.
  2. Life Star grunted, leaving him and took the next available berth, which just happened to be the one neighboring his. She entered and dropped her saddlebags to stretch her back. What a rude fellow. She thought to herself with a frown in the direction of his berth. I feel like I know him, though. Odd. Her thoughts stayed centered on the puzzle of this familiar stallion while she unpacked her meager trappings.
  3. Life Star frowned, offended if not a bit peeved. "If you'll excuse me, sir, I never was a foalscout. I started my medical training while others my age were doing just that." She snapped and followed him. The strange familiarity of the stallion was eating at her now. She stayed close behind Slug, not knowing where to go herself until she could find Amber or whoever she had hired to be the Captain. "You seem surprised that these aeronautical ponies have heads on their shoulders." Life Star pulled up to stand beside him. "I think they stocked up well. But I'm not the mercenary here, am I?" The blue mare added with a hint of accusation.
  4. Star jolted at the voice behind her and turned, slowly registering that he was speaking to her. "Oh, yes. Well, you wouldn't want to be lacking in case someone needed the room 'fulla pills', sir." She replied, smiling and ending her retort with a small chuckle. Life Star eyed him up and down a moment. She felt a strange kind of unfamiliar recognition. "Do I... do I know you from somewhere, sir?"
  5. Life Star struggled with the somewhat vague directions given in Amber's most recent letter. She'd been writing back and forth with this character for the past few weeks through a code of hastily written and references to people, places and aeronautical terms Star herself never bothered familiarizing herself with. To be fair, she had probably confused to poor mare on the other end with medical and military vernacular since her entry letter. That day going down Mane Street would have gone much differently if Amber wasn't so hasty and remembered to efficiently glue the CREW WANTED poster to the lamp post. For example, the poster wouldn't have flown into her face and clung there by remnants of glue. But that's neither here nor there. The light blue mare constantly checked and rechecked the directions and dates in Miss Amber's letter, assuring herself that the airship before her was the correct one. Sure enough. The slot number matched and the side of the ship read, in elegant, regal writing; The Celeste. "Surely you have a well stocked clinic, my lady." Star chuckled to herself.
  6. Name: Life Star Age: 36 Gender: Female Species: Earth Pony Appearance: See form Cutie Mark: A Rod of Acelpius received during culinary/medical training with the Equestrian National Guard Personality: She's disciplined with strict morals and a level head. She knows her way around a bandage, but slightly less so in the kitchen. Life Star can flip between being a genuine or harsh caregiver in an instant depending on who she's looking after. She has a habit of treating her close friends as her children. This sometimes makes her a bit overbearing. Generally, she's an optimistic mare. Backstory: Coming from a military family, she was sent to military boot camp. However, she was too young at the time for training as a soldier or medic so she was put in the kitchens. During a viral outbreak, she cared for one lower level guard who fell ill until he was restored to health. That was when she earned her cutie mark and was moved to medical training. A good deal of time later, a general contracted a fatal illness and died under her care. She was stripped of her status and thrown back into the streets. Life Star resorted to being a local doctor for hire after acquiring a little office space. --- Time active: I will be as active as I can, but feel free to pester me until I get back on it. Past experience roleplaying: The SkullCrown Rebellion, The Antigone and various other literate texted-based role plays.
  7. Lemony dunked a washrag in a soap-sud flooded sink and brought it over to clean the fly guts from the wall. "Help yourself, Captain. You know where plates and cups are kept." She kept scrubbing at the wall until there wasn't a sign of the little insects mortal remains. "And we should send someone for something to keep the flies out. I've heard pepper keeps 'em out."
  8. "Carrot and potato stew, lemonade and lemon meringue pie." She replied, flicking her ear at a pesky ship fly. Lemony levitated a fly swatter and pursued her prey while listening to the Captain ramble. "You should probably get that heart problem checked out." Her weapon successfully squashed the pest, bringing a small smirk to her muzzle.
  9. "Dinner's in a half hour. But, I guess you could start now if you're about to keel over unless you eat." Lemony replied, nodding to the mess hall. "Help yourself to the lemonade." She yawned again. "And next time you decide to have a spat," She sat down, "take it out of my kitchen, will you?"
  10. "Things are just fine." She replied with a yawn, raising her hoof to her mouth. "And you're here because why?" Lemony tilted her head rather than raise one of her hidden eyebrows. This colt was beginning to bother her with his needless stuttering and shaking. What was she, anyway? A dragon or something?
  11. Lemony Snickers turned to look at the stranger. What was she doing in her kitchen? She was about to answer her question when noticed the annoying colt behind her. Lemony sighed to herself and turned her attention back to the waiting mare. "There are some left overs laying around in the storage closet over that way. And, can I ask who you are and why the hoof you're in my kitchen?"
  12. Lemony Snickers was cleaning up her kitchen. She had decided that, with dinner done and made, that some tidying up was in order. After all, that rude tempered professor what's-his-hooves could decide that he was required to check sanitation levels. If that was so, her beloved kitchen would be condemned to a quarantine and she have to cook in her room or something.
  13. Lemony headed out of the kitchen to retrieve her toque and bumped into that Yaktart guy. She glowered at him then continued on her way.
  14. Lemony stuck her yellow and brown head out the kitchen. "Sorry about that." She apologized without very much feeling or sincerity. The yellow unicorn was still wearing her white chefs toque, that toppled off her head once she popped out. She muttered a small curse under her breath after her half hearted apology.
