  1. Sometimes in life, you have to go beyond the paved road to get somewhere. Kick it in four wheel drive and make your own road.

      Trailblazin' like a boss!

  2. Thank you! I didn't really expect people to pick up on what I was saying considering most of what I wrote up there was very vague. But thank you again for taking the time to read my idea and for posting your opinion, it's much appreciated!
  3. This would be my first attempt to write up a fan fiction based on the personalities of the characters in "My Little Pony Friendship is Magic". Having read a few fan fictions in the distant past made me recently want to write one, but the issue was "write it on what". I pulled up the topic in my mind quite often without striking some kind of gold idea, I was about to give up on the whole thing when something hit me. Somehow my dog managed to knock over my small lamp and it fell on my face, but after that was taken care of and put back in the upright position I gave up and went to sleep. Laying in bed looking up at the ceiling fan make revolutions as the calm hum of the engine painted a picture in my mind. Now stay with me on this one, it's not the easiest plot to pass through your mind. (The actual story doesn't have ponies in it, the ponies are replaced with people but for simplicity's sake I replaced the names of the characters in the story with the ones they mirror in the show.) The story opens, young fluttershy is telling a story about her basic home life (just to sum it up there I guess) it's her 3rd day of school of her freshman year, (many little details inserted here but aren't pointed out in this summary) the night after the night she begins telling the story is when she goes out into the back yard and lays on the hood of this rusted car, thats when she hears a loud roar of engine, she can see the car approaching her home down a old dirt road (she lives out in the country in the 1970's) the car ends up stopping at her house (not like at her front door, toward the back) and rainbow dash steps out, gives young fluttershy some story and young fluttershy doesn't think twice about leaving because earlier that night her and her father got into a fight and she was ridiculed at school, sho she goes with dash (hence those little details). Dash speeds down the road and it looks as they are going to drive right into a fence when the car appears in the PRESENT, (but to new fluttershy, she thinks it's the future) and dash explains the situation more on the car ride into where they set up their base (im guessing this would be like 5 or 6 years into the future for young fluttershy). Now why would they do this you ask? Well it's simple, The present day was taken over by a dictator which left much of the present day world in utter destruction and torn apart by war. The present day team includes the mirrored characteristics of 5 of the main 6 from the show (Twilight, Fluttershy, Rarity, Pinkie, Dash, Applejack, & including Spike) It was up to the team to save the world/country/universe (whatever you call it) from these nuclear missiles. Upon the first attempt the team had all 6 of the main 6 (and Spike) but the present day Fluttershy was killed in that attempt and somehow Dash found out how to go back and get Fluttershy from the past for the 2nd attempt (considering they can't do thins without fluttershy) but Dash went too far so now the team and the world's fate rests on the younger Fluttershy character that hasn't fully found herself yet, and along the way she learns valuable life lessons, etc, etc. It is KIDNA confusing, but after the whole thing is finished, It will be less pondering to those who would read this description after reading it. I was hoping by writing something with a different outlook on the pony side I could come up with a story that people can relate to (the beginning part not the missile part, but also the lessons learned and expressed with in the story), not only be entertained by. Along the course of the story, including the opening with the supposed main character who is telling the story, I plan on developing the detail to increase the interest (Obviously I didn't tell the whole whole story here, but just a summary of the main aspects of it). I got around 4,500 words at the moment, with a high aim for at least 40,000 or better (depending on this and that and the other thing). If you like the story idea, give me a shoutout in the comments section, I'd be groovy to see opinions on it. I'd also love to answer questions considering the plot isn't the easiest to follow. This is again my first attempt on a alleged fan fiction, but I am quite good at making up stuff. Like they say, "keep on keepin' on"
  4. I'm glad you got the clock applied to your desktop gadget clock! It is quite the challenge, I was pondered on my first attempt to make this work correctly. In the .ZIP file your downloaded there were two separate files, the "en-US" folder and the "images" folder. Inside the "en_US" folder is the locations for where the hands center around. My first question is, did you apply the "en_US" file to your computer? If so, I'm a bit pondered on why your clock arms are drastically out of place considering I modified the location point of the arms myself for best location. I know for certain that the clock arms are a bit off on some points but most of the time it's pretty right on, if you did apply the "en_US" file to your computer it should be fairly in ballpark range of the best locations for the arms. Since the arms aren't sticks like the default clocks, they were a bit harder to fondle. Reply when you can, i'll be happy to give as much assistance as I can to the matter.
  5. Thank you! Installing this is actually simple yet hard. If you are up for the challenge of "installing" this on your computer then I'll explain to a extent on what you have to do. Start/Computer/Local Disk C:/Program Files/Windows Sidebar/Gadgets/Clock.Gadget/ Inside the "Clock.Gadget folder there are two file folders (en-US) and (images). Considering the easiest way to send this clock to people was just to legit copy my folders and tell others to basically replace these folders with mine. But it's much easier said than done, you have to make these folders owned by you to edit them (delete/replace them) so if you right click on them you'll see properties and inside there is security, you basically have to make your user have control of the folders and the content of the folders. You must replace both the "en-US" folder and the "images" folder or the clock will not function correctly at all considering I had to edit the .txt files to make the pony arms work properly. I didn't really want to give people a download link considering most wouldn't know what to do with the files, it's really a tedious effort to gain user control of the folders but it eventually works. There is something else called "godmode" for windows seven but I don't know much about it other than it is easy to use. So, if you'd like to try to get this clock on your computer, do so at your own risk, I don't want to be at fault for anyone screwing up their computer (which is not likely, but you never know what people will do and throw at the creator's face). Here's the download consisting of both of my custom clocks, Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy (as always I reccommend that you save copies of the original folders somewhere on your computer just in case you want to revert back to them for whatever reason) Located in this download are the "en-US" and the "image" folders which include the working clocks when added to the Clock.Gadget folder I mentioned earlier. Download: http://www.mediafire.com/?q9xp6zumcg17tkj If you have any questions, I can ATTEMPT to answer them but in reality the whole process is trial and error with the main goal being: getting your user in control of the content and the "en-US" & "image" folders themselves so you can replace the content with the edited content. Good luck!
  6. Hello once again folks, today I have something special to address your attention to! Nearly five months ago I made a Rainbow Dash desktop gadget clock and for some odd reason I decided to whip up another on but this time, I made the clock based on Fluttershy! The image was originally a vector I found on Google but I had to fix it up so it worked with the project, I re-made it so it didn't look as choppy when I sized it up. So all you Fluttershy fans out there will probably enjoy this here clock! The actual clock itself is 5500 x 5500 pixels, so it was a bit difficult to work with but it turned out quite nice, at least I think so. The arms are a bit out of sync but it's very difficult to keep them inline considering they aren't just sticks like the default ones! To show you a better and more detailed look at the clock, I have my display image for you to see: Well folks, tell me what you think!
  7. Thank you! Yeah, I wish I could say the drawing was all planned but it was just so random but you're right the collage type design gives it a nice look, and thank you for the comment it's much appreciated! I did have my icon as a reference for the Vinyl Scratch head, but the other's were just from a guess. But I have drawn Rainbow Dash quite a bit, so I had a little practice as well. All the years I went to school, drawing was the only thing I did in class (besides sleep) Thank you! It's one of my favorites as well Thank you for the comment! Shading has become my new coloring since I color just about as well as a fish can jump rope, even though I used to draw with them sharpies Just takes practice, It took me a few attempts when I first tried drawing Rainbow Dash for the first time, but the good thing about drawing ponies, they all nearly have the same body features.
  8. As always, I have a story. Well, since I haven't been too good at sleeping when I should be sleeping, tonight or this morning, or whatever you want to call it.... I decided to draw a bunch of random stuff in my notebook. I'll take you though a trip in my mind: Midnight rolls around, what am I thinking? "Perfect time to watch a movie" then 2am hits, what am I thinking? "Perfect time to play Team Fortress 2" then 3:30am peaks it's head, what am I thinking? "hmm.... I'll attempt to sleep" Then 4am hits like a bolting station wagon at a demolition derby and what am I thinking; "Can't sleep, doodle time". So here I am at 5:30am in the morning posting this here because I have no idea what else to do and waking up my parents would result in me getting shot, or something like that. I bring to you, this random notebook page full of stuff! Whats that? Why would I use a notebook page you ask? Well frankly my dear, the answer is quite simple. All the printer paper is in the office, which is a few steps away but I mostly likely would get caught due to that damn night light that turns on when someone walks by it, which is right across from my parents bedroom. So i'd get caught and get tared and feathered or something else. So yes, finally the picture.... I started out with writing the title of my novel right in the middle, then I drew Rainbow Dash sleeping on a cloud to attempt to get me to follow her lead and get the hell to bed. Then, I drew my new icon, Vinyl Scratch's eager face down under the novel title. And under her, I decided to draw the badge from my 06' Pontiac GTO 6.0 Liter LS2. At this point I was drawing a blank (yes bad pun) so I looked up at my wall and so my Dale Earnhardt poster which made me draw the number 3 and that my friends lead to the the "Intimidator Edition Rainbow Dash". And don't forget the American flag in the background, yeah... I just did that to fill up the top part of the paper I guess.
  9. Well, being new to the vector art side of town I don't know much about the rules of "whats been done and what hasn't been done" so I made this as a answer to a problem I was having with finding a good Vinyl Scratch icon for my Skype account. So I have a entertaining story for you... I was browsing Google on account of a new Skype icon, or inspiration for a new Skype icon when I noticed a Vinyl Scratch photograph that looked decent enough (In my opinion) for my new icon. I didn't hesitate to click on this as soon as I saw it, but two things caught my eye. First, as my mouse drifted over it I noticed the size which was very small, then, after I had clicked it, well let's just say It didn't take me to the Vinyl Scratch picture... It took me to a inappropriate webpage instead. So upon my disappointment of not being able to use this photograph which I liked the looks of, a idea struck me like a flashback from a memory hidden inside my mind like a magazine shoved in a box covered with dust in a farm house attic. I thought to myself; "Well this would be a perfect thing to vector" so I jumped right on it. Now, as I said earlier, I'm not positive this hasn't been made at a larger scale but I did it anyways for my own personal benefit for a icon so hopefully nobody gets all hot n' bothered over me making this. But, without further ado I present my Vinyl Scratch vector: And the one without all the fancy-dancy enhancement material: I didn't notice the white imperfections around the Polaroid frames until I finished, normally I don't call for that kind of failure on my watch, but sadly I didn't see it until after it was completed and nothing burns more than having to redo your work... so please don't think I have poor work ethics because of this, thank you.
  10. A few weeks ago I got a new car, so I thought i'd make a ponies in real life image with it. I tried to add reflection and shade it a bit more accurately than my other photos, I think it's alright. As always, comments & critiques are always welcome! Please enjoy the photograph.
  11. Thank you! I'm glad to see that you follow my Toaster Puppy posts! I'm sure there will be more to come Thanks for the comment!
  12. Thank you! MS Paint has been my thing for years, I just can't seem to get used to Photoshop. He's also a magical puppy I guess! I didn't even think about the plug laying on the floor, maybe he has a built in generator or something!
  13. Here's my custom character "Toaster Puppy" in color. I made this with Microsoft Paint. You may have seen my other "Toaster Puppy" posts as well as this one, your views, critiques and comments are much appreciated as always!
  14. You had me laughing with the "toast the competition" thing! Good one! And thank you! It seems as people seem to like the character the more I share it with others. I'm glad to see that it's catching on a tad! Thanks for the comment and the laugh! It is not intended to be a copy of nyan cat, but many will probably believe it is a nyan cat knock off. But I will share with you the story behind this idea. The story behind Toaster Puppy goes like this; I had to clean out my office located in the basement a few weeks ago. Upon my cleaning I was held up in looking through my old drawings, and I found a crude regimentation of what appeared to a cat with a toaster for a body. Since I can draw this dog's head much more accurately I decided to update my idea with this. I can't even begin to imagine all the bread puns that will pop into my mind now, especially with people tossing them out here on this post! But, good one! How about a toast to the many bread puns? I'll be sure to drink to that! Thank you for your interest in my character!
  15. Welcome back for another installment of the one, the only... Toaster Puppy! He's a puppy, he's a toaster, he's a freakin' revolution! This time, Toaster Puppy is featured in his very own handmade promotional poster. I may begin working on a Toaster Puppy animated short soon, but for now I'm just getting rough and general ideas of how to make Toaster Puppy's world. If anyone has any suggestions, they are strongly encouraged and welcomed! I will do my best to reply to your ideas! and who doesn't like the occasional bread pun? I know it gets the elderly all riled up at the senior center's bridge night!
  16. Who loves puppies almost as much as ponies? Well if you do, who wouldn't like a puppy's head on the body of a toaster?! I personally think this is the bee's knees! The best thing since SLICED BREAD! (excuse my puns) But yes, it's a fun loving puppy with it's head stuck to a toaster. Who would have thought, it may be a huge success!
  17. Thank you! It's a great car, I havn't even had it for a day yet and I love it! They are very hard to come by though, I probably looked for months to find one close enough to where I live to actually buy. For a 06' it looks and runs great, I couldn't be happier with it. And thank you for wishing me a happy birthday!
  18. Well today was my birthday so for my birthday I ended up getting a 2006 Pontiac GTO 6.0 Liter LS2 V8 with a manual transmission! Coolest thing I ever had my hands on, in the photo below you can see the 2008 Cadillac CTS that was traded in to get the Pontiac GTO.
  19. I have been really into making vinyls on Forza Motorsport 4 lately and I just recently put this one together, I think it turned out really good. Tell me what you think!
  20. Well, every once in a while I sort through my pictures on my main laptop. I came across this jumble of screen clips from Minecraft all put together in one image and I though this may be worth sharing here on the forums. I used to spend a while making cool things on Minecraft even though I never even bought the game, I had the free version and basically just played off of a old friend's server. A lot of the stuff never was completed but it's still pretty interesting to look at. If you have questions about anything, feel free to ask. As always, comments and critiques are welcome!
  21. Well, I don't expect a lot, man like, pretty much, if the hut doesn't burn down, it's been a good day and even if it burnt down, man, it's cool, 'cause I got three or four more of these little huts somewhere...

  22. This probably won't interest most of you folks out there but to the folks that enjoy the little details of cars that most don't know exist here's a little treat. The 2006 Pontiac GTO 6.0 is one of my favorite cars and I thought i'd make a start button orb for the badge found on the side of the car. If any of you guys want to download this, feel free to. There is also a link to a start orb changer program as well. And for those who would rather have a pony themed start orb, don't fret, I made a Rainbow Dash one a while back: http://mlpforums.com...art-button-orb/ To apply this to you computer use this:http://www.door2wind...with-one-click/ Pontiac GTO Start Button Orb Download: http://www.mediafire...7tma435xwsxi0o5 (Instructions located in text file inside .zip folder.)
  23. Thank you, and yes it was done in pencil. I'm not very good at coloring, so I prefer shading
  24. Thank you! Much appreciated! Thanks!
  25. I Drove up to Minnesota for a week where my Uncle lives and I ended up drawing a picture of his DLX Sanger ski boat. The boat is yellow black and white, very sharp looking it's a 1 of 1 which means it's pretty much custom from the engine to the colors. Hope ya'll like the drawing, comments &critiques are always welcome!
