Have you read any of his other books? I found an "Abudance of Katherines" and "Looking for Alaska" to be alright.

Getting a PHD in History foolish?
PaegeStorybrook replied to TheMarkz0ne's topic in General Discussion
I have a friend who did his PhD in Philosophy. Maybe not the same degree as yourself but having a degree in Philosophy may initially feel like you are limited to teaching it or if you're lucky enough get a job as a civil servant. He does in fact teach college level philosophy courses however surprisingly a good chunk of his income comes from the e-books he has independently published on the subject and a few fiction pieces with some of the specialized philosophical themes he was interested. So perhaps if you have a strong love of doing creative work you could partner that up with your interests in history. Best of luck to you. I would have loved to do a degree in History (chose Psych instead), so in the meantime I get my fix through 'Coursera'. -

When we read Shakespeare in High School I remember liking Hamlet, but I think Othello got me all the more. Have you ever seem Shakespeare performed?

What's your favorite ice cream flavor?
PaegeStorybrook replied to BtrDinkyDooMaslow's topic in Forum Lounge
My prefered tastes exactly!!!!!!! -
Yay Book thread This is definitely my comfort zone. I've just discovered audio books recently which suit me perfectly when I go on long long long walks. I recently finished "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" (a little late to the game) and have just started "The Hobbit". I often prefer the performance voices on CD to the monotonous tone in my head.

I started with tea as a child, moved up to mochas in my mid teens but it was a barista job that had me drinking it black. As a result I'm a 3 cuppaday pony.

There is an interesting thought there. I can intuitively see why this may be so. Where would you place mocha's?

movies/tv Who is into Doctor Who?
PaegeStorybrook replied to Strawberry Sunshine's topic in Media Discussion
Technically the 10th was my first. A friend roped me into the series by starting me off with "Silence in the Library" because with me libraries are a win. After seeing that episode smack in the middle of everything I started proper with the beginning of the reboot with Eccleston. Technics aside I consider Eccleston to be 'my doctor' as at the time Tennant was too manic ferret for me. I got to like him better as the series developed for me. -

Hello nice to meet you, I'm gonna go with the mane consensus here, your english is just fine. Journalism and communications, how interesting I have some friends that also studied in communications and ended up doing some very interesting things. Not to worry about the future. I just finished my Psychology and they have a similar saying that we just end up working at Starbucks Have fun! -
Hello and welcome. I'm a blank flank too having just joined the forums recently. Great intro and accurately representative avatar. I just realized I had put the pony before the cart in having a cutie mark on my avatar, but oh well c'est la vie. Very cool for being in animation, or even getting re-acquainted with it. Many of my friends where I live are also animators. Making stuff is cool.
