I think it's hard to assess given the behaviors of the Ponies are so much more evolved than typical human interaction. That said, they're still maturing through normal emotional development. So you've got a situation that you can't really compare against in real life (at least anywhere I've ever seen.) Anyways, don't we all know some 18 year-olds who act as mature as 40-year-olds, and some 40-year-olds who act as immature as 18-year-olds? http://www.votable.com/tv-show/my-little-pony-friendship-is-magic -

Thank you for the warm welcome on a cold day! Oops! I just read the thing about posting stuff about yourself in your intro email. So I actually got into Bronies after seeing the Bronies documentary. I had to check out the show for myself and I was completely hooked. The positive energy and genuine nature of the ponies just hooked me right in. I'm trying to learn how to do some remixing of the music from the shows. I would love to participate in the art community around the show -- just need to learn a little bit more. I did pick up being a mod for the MLP page on Votable (http://www.votable.com/tv-show/my-little-pony-friendship-is-magic) -- but I really hope to get more involved in the community here. And it's off to Octavia's Hall for me!!
