I was hoping I could get some opinions on something I've been trying on PBE when I get chances to play there.
The past ~5 games I'd played there I played Zyra jungle, mainly because I wanted to see how she interacted in there with the new changes. She can clear fine, once she hits 2. Her starting is extremely rough. All 5 games I was left at ~50 HP after finishing my blue. That leaves me extremely vulnerable to the enemy jungler coming and mopping me up. Granted, I do insta-B as soon as I finish, but still, they could be waiting. I've thought of doing one of two things to my rune pages: A) AP Quints, HP Marks, Armor Seals, Mres Glyphs. B)HP Quints, HP Marks, Armor Seals, AP Glyphs. I figured the first nets me a decent boost in HP and at least gives me a chance to get away if invaded (I've been starting with her E for lvl2 ganks). Option B allows me a good boost in HP at the expense of losing some Mres, which seems only bad in early game team fights or ganking mid. I was also thinking about changing my jungle route. Instead of going from wolves straight to blue, I was thinking going from wolves to wraiths, back to wolves, and then to blue, so I can hit 2 before I get blue.
Now, as stated in the previous paragraph, I wanted to try this with the new jungle mechanics. once she hits level 2, she can have her plants tank the creeps. Why is this good? Jungle creeps deal increased damage to pets, but her plants have a strange HP value, and it takes exactly 6 attacks from jungle creeps to be able to kill each plant. That's 12 attacks for both of them. That's 12 attacks not touching you, allowing you a safer jungle post-2. Also, she can counter jungle safer than most. Want to check their blue? drop a seed over the wall. Want to make sure you're not going to be caught counter jungling? Ward with your seeds. She can be very flexible with how she works, and I like that the most about her.
