Hrmm...

So far, from just the premiere at least I've liked her addition to the cast. I think she'll fit in fine, though I hope they continue developing her friendship with Spike in particular, it's nice to finally see him get someone to hang out with in episodes. I also hope she keeps a bit of that manipulative nature too, she showed a few signs of it remaining in the season 6 premiere, and I think it would be both a great strength and a good flaw for her to keep going forward.

Well....as I said in my former post, it could be shown as a state higher than an alicorn, maybe, and because hs' s Starswirl, only he's ever achieved it. Wouldn't be retconning him as a unicorn, if he ascended offscreen to alicorn, and then to qilin....

That could work, but maybe setting up a state above Alicorn's is a bit much?

 Perhaps instead of a state above Alicorns, it could instead be simply a different kind of Ascension, one that is equal to but different than the Alicorns, both perhaps having different advantages over each other.

He's been seen in the comics, and he's a Unicorn there. I know people are going to argue about the canonocity of that, but I'm pretty sure it's been stated their considered canon until the show contradicts them. Personally I'd prefer them try to stick with things that happen in the comics when possible.

 Even then, all sources in the show itself point to him being a Unicorn, so that's probably what he is. The idea of a Qulin is pretty cool though, so I wouldn't mind seeing it used for a different character.

Oh, no. I've actually driven before, multiple times. I can think of at least 4 different occasions.

 Every single one ended with me almost crashing into something. Those memories combined with the fact that I ALWAYS, Always get car sick and get headaches make me way too nervous to drive.
