Book perked up a bit at the topic switching and going to his cutie mark. He glanced at it. "I started writing books and I got really into it. And quickly I realized that when I was at home and I was writing, that my cutie mark was there!" He said happily, smiling widely.

"No... I actually don't have my eye on anyone at the moment..." Book said and blushed softly. He felt kinda bad that her idea couldn't work on him. And he thought too much and got too worried for it to work. "Sorry that it doesn't work with me at the current moment..." Book said to her and shrugged a little.

Book kinda was spacing off with his muffin as Last Stand was talking with Pinkie. He knew Sugarcube Corner had the best food he's ever had, even better than those back at home. He shook his head and returned back to he conversation when his name was brought up. "Hmm? Oh..." Book blushed. He put a hoof to the back of his neck. "Oh um... No... I don't have a special somepony right now. I haven't really had any before either..." He admitted with a small blush.

Book decided to stay quiet when Last Stand left. When she asked Pinkie the question about her and Storm getting married he looked at the bubbly pink mare. He munched on his delicious baked treat as he waited for a correct turn to speak. Book actually didn't mind staying quiet for a bit.

He had to think about it a bit before understanding to the best of his abilities. "Yeah, and it's usually one of those moments to simply smile and nod when she talks about things like the fourth wall or her Pinkie Sense." Book said, leaning back a little.

Book looked over at Last Stand. He scratched the back of his neck nervously at what she said. "Oh... It's just better not to question Pinkie's logic and leave it to her to explain it in my opinion at least..." Book said, shrugging a little. He knew that questioning the pony who even science couldn't explain how her 'Pinkie Sense' worked isn't a good idea.

Book blinked and watched in half-surprise at what Storm and Pinkie were saying and their visuals about how the fourth wall existed. Considering it was Pinkie Pie, it made sense to him. He looked at Last Stand. "Heh, yeah... They're a bit silly... But that's Pinkie, she makes sense when it also doesn't make sense... We shouldn't question her logic." Book shrugged a bit.

"Sorry. Can't help you there. I write stories on things, not nonfiction." Book apologized to the mare. He noticed she was twitching at some of the things about fighting, but decided that he shouldn't ask about it. "And I'm not very experienced with the griffon culture. Hardly any live here." Book said.

"Well then... I suppose you won't be around me very much." Book chuckled. "I would never dream of fighting another pony, especially since I mainly stay at my house quietly and write books." He explained, chuckling a bit more. "So I guess, unless you decided to go and read books or we just run into each other, I'll hardly ever see you." Book said calmly.

Book quietly waited for Storm and Pinkie to stop talking before offering a hoofshake to the new pony. "I'm Book Quill. Nice to meet you." Book introduced to her. He was surprised that Pinkie and Storm were being all bouncy to the calm-looking mare. He smiled to her to try and be kind. He glanced at Storm having Pinkie on his head and blinked in surprise.

"Hey there. Got something with a bit if zing to it? Like a sharp lemon taste or the like?"

 

Last Stand had just wandered in and hit a spot where there wasn't a line when she entered so she'd been able to go directly to the clerk which fitted her fine. She didn't like standing in line in general and having fresh stitches done wouldn't have helped much on her mood if that had been the case.

 

The clerk saw the wound too, roughly the length of the stomach (give or take a hoof) going under the blade in the scabbard. She kept quiet about it though and just looked over the wares instead, pulling up a yellow swirl muffin with lemon shaped candy on.

 

"Doesn't get more lemony than this without making a sour frown."

 

Last Stand nodded, paid for the muffin and moved over to the side where she could try to enjoy the sharp.smelling thing.

 

Before she got a chance to chow down on it she heard a small commotion and automatically looked the way, seeing three ponies in what appeared to be a hug pile with big smiles on their faces. She looked them over a little more before returning her attention to the baked goods she had ordered to improve the day a tad.

 

Hugs weren't ordinary when she's grown up, so she had a hard time really understanding the fascination some ponies had with it and if it was done because you were happy or to make you so, but that was the bane of her life, analysing everything to the point of being clueless about the simpler things.

 

Still, even if she couldn't understand it fully, she could see one thing about the trio: They looked rather happy. Was that because of the hug or something else? Damned if she knew, but she suppose it didn't matter either. Oh well, time to taste the cake and see if it had some bite to it.

 

Last Stand would take a little taste before raising her eyebrow slightly and starting to chomp down the rest. Seemed like it were to her taste.

Book looked over the pony curiously and noticed the stitches that were quite long. He smiled at the mare. "Hello there stranger." He greeted the new pony. "Who're you?" Book asked her curiously. He seemed relaxed and way more dialed down than Pinkie and Storm.

Storm smiled, pulling Book into a friendly hug. "Yeah, doing better!" He said happily. "Yay, group hugs!" Pinkie chirped, wrapping her arms around both of the other ponies at the table. "Yay!" Storm agreed, pulling them both into a big hug which lifted the other two off the ground.

Book blinked at being hugged and shrugged, hugging back. He hugged Pinkie too and blinked in surprise when Storm picked them both up due to their smaller group hug. He shrugged and smiled. "Yay for group hugs!" Book smiled and kept hugging the stallion and mare.

"Thanks, I'm glad you liked it!" Storm told Books happily, glad to share the joy of muffins. Suddenly he went slightly rigid, a single feather twitching on each of his wings. "I feel a disturbance in the hug force.... Almost like I missed out on awesome huggles somewhere...." He said, looking out the window. Storm relaxed a bit, "Oh well, huggles are never a bad thing so it's nothing to worry about..." He said, going back to his muffins. "Don't worry Stormy, I've gotcha covered!" Pinkie chirped, giving him some quality huggles. "Thanks Pinkie!" Storm exclaimed, perking up a bit as he huggled her back.

Book looked concerned when Storm went rigid and his feathers on his wings twitched. He relaxed and smiled when it wasn't very concerning to him. He quietly ate his food while he watched Pinkie and Storm doing couple-y stuff. "All better then now Storm?" Book asked his new friend.

Storm smiled. "Muffins." He said happily, "Almost any flavor or shape, my favorite baked treats are muffins!" Pinkie giggled and nodded, "They really are his favorite, and he makes some really~ good ones too!" She informed Book with a smile. "And he'll experiment with new recipes and shapes and stuff all the time! I generally enjoy offering my expert bakery skills to help him get the recipes right.." Pinkie said proudly, rubbing a hoof against her chest.

"A.K.A. She likes to taste test and eat the muffins until I can figure out the best ingredient measurements for the optimal muffin flavor..." Storm stage whispered to Book, causing Pinkie to pout. "It's not my fault you make them so well..." She whined cutely. "I never said it was a bad thing Pinkie..." Storm smiled at her.

"Muffins are pretty good though..." Book laughed a bit. "I could tell earlier that you like making treats. You made Blitz those muffins that were really good." Book smiled, thinking about his muffin earlier that Storm gave him. He chuckled, thinking about the conversation they had on the name might make Blitz think to light the muffin on fire.

Storm chuckled, "Just take the list she just gave you, and add muffins..." He told Book with a smile, "And that's likely the shortest list you'll get..." Pinkie giggled, "Yeppers!" She nodded, giving Storm a hug. "I like all kinds of stuff, so it's always hard to choose a favorite... Especially since if I choose a favorite, then it shows favoritism and if I show favoritism, the other foods might get jealous!" Pinkie explained. "Yeah, and jealous foods aren't nearly as fun to deal with as gelatinous foods like Jell-O..." Storm agreed.

Book laughed a bit. "That's better to explain than just one favorite treat to have." He said. Book smiled a bit at her explanation of foods being jealous of one another because of favoritism. "What about you then, Storm?" Book asked him, turning to Storm to see what he would say about it.

Pinkie's eyes widened, "Oo~ I love Cotton candy, and cake, and cupcakes, and candy-candy, and sugar candy, and rock-candy, and pies, and fritters, and snow-cones, and-" "Pinkie, I think he meant your one most favorite..." Storm interrupted with a chuckle. Pinkie's eyes widened again, "Ooohhss~" She uttered in realization. "I don't have one!" Pinkie chirped with a grin.

Book smiled at her listing treats. He nodded at what Storm said in agreement. "Few favorites then?" He asked her instead of just one favorite treat of her's. Book was smiling and curious of an answer from the bouncy pink mare.

Pinkie quickly snatched up her part of the order and left towards a table with a quick, "Nwopersh" through the items she was holding with her mouth. Storm chuckled, handing Book's items to the stallion. "Here, go sit with Pinkie while I pay..." He told his newest friend happily before turning back to the clerk. "So what's the total?" He asked with a smile.

"Want me to carry some of those then Storm?" Book asked him. He went to go sit down with the bubbly pink pony. Once he sat down, he looked at Pinkie. "So what's your favorite sweet, candy, treat then Pinkie?" Book asked curiously to the happy pink mare. He smiled a bit at her.

Storm and Pinkie, having arrived at Sugarcube Corner, hopped over to the counter. "Five Chocolate Chip Challenge muffins please!" Storm declared happily, "Oo~! And a cherry-no TWO cherry muffins, a chocolate muffin, a Rainbow Swirl cupcake, a blueberry muffin, and three Strawberry Chip cupcakes!" Pinkie chirped. "What would you like Book?" Storm asked with a smile.

Book listened to their orders be all sugary. "I guess a chocolate cupcake and an extra-big chocolate chip cookie would be nice please..." Book said, thinking about it a bit. He was thankful for Storm ordering his food for him since he didn't have the money on him.

"Oh that's no problem Book!" Storm said from where he was happily bouncing along with Pinkie, "I can pay for ya! Besides, it wouldn't be very nice of us to be eating muffins and cupcakes and sweets and goodies while a friend sits there and watches with a hungrily-rumbly-tummy!" He told Book happily, giving a bright smile.

Book blinked at Storm's offer. Wow... He really is the perfect match for Pinkie... They act too much similar... Book thought, blinking a bit. "Wow... Uh... Thanks! I wouldn't believe a pony I'm only acquainted to would but me sweets like that..." He said in surprise. He kept following them to Sugarcube Corner for their sweets.

"Bye Mr. Doctor Pony!" Storm and Pinkie called simultaneously, waving goodbye. "Well let's see..." Storm began, "Blitz is fine, if a bit tired..." Pinkie continued, putting a hoof to her chin. "And I've just finished an impromptu check-up..." Storm listed, "So you know what that means?" He asked with a grin, turning to Pinkie. "SUGARCUBE CORNER!" They cheered, rushing out. Storm poked his head back in the door, "You wanna come with us Book?" He asked with a smile.

Book blinked and smiled at them being in unison for what they were saying. He got up when they rushed out to go home and attend to his shop before getting asked by Storm is he wanted to come with them to Sugarcube Corner. "Sure, I'd be happy to come with." Book smiled and followed the happy and perfect acting and for each other Pinkie and Storm. Book followed but realized he had no money. "Oh... Silly me.. I accidentally forgot my money. Sorry! But I'll still come with and sit and talk." He said, scratching the back of his head in embarrassment.

When they had followed him into the room, the doctor asked Storm Shine to lay down for a few minutes and not do any sudden movements while he would take care of the quicker process of disinfecting the wound on Book, to whom he had asked to sit on the small bricks.

 

He went to the side and picked up a few things from a shelf using his horn, then returned his focus to Book.

 

"This might sting a little, but please try and sit still."

 

With that, he would pour a little from a small bottle he had taken onto a cotton swap and pushed it against Book's wound and began to slowly clean the wound. The solution in the liquid would cleanse out the bacteria, but as mentioned, it was likely to sting a little for the minute or so the procedure took place before he would remove it, then put on a plaster over it..

 

"There we go. A few days and it should have covered itself enough with tissue to make it safe to pull this off."

 

Then he went over with the items again, and pulled out a few stethoscopes and other examination tools before turning towards Storm again. It was his turn now.

Book sat where he was told to. He moved his wing so it was easier to disinfect it. He watched as the doctor got the swab ready. When he put it on, he flinched away at how it stung. He stayed still once he was somewhat used to it and watched as it was covered. Book folded his wing back up when it was done and quietly watched Storm.

Book looked at the cut. He suspected it was from walking past a bush in the Everfree that scratched him. Though it more looked like a deep and bigger paper cut. He shrugged and followed the doctor, not minding it all that much. He poked at it lightly with his wing and it stung a bit and was bleeding a bit.

(I'm still here, but not sure where to jump in at. Just wanted to let you know I'm not gone for good, just trying to find a good spot.)

Book sat down, his legs and wings, mainly, all sore from walking around and flying all day yesterday. The ponies he met were fun and nice yesterday and Storm was very kind and silly. Book had a small, hardly noticeable, deep cut right below his wing.

Deja Vu smiled and cuddled up against him as he quickly fell asleep though she herself was having a bit of trouble getting to sleep. She was a bit embarrassed about the fact that she had a stallion sleeping next to her in her bed and he snuggled against her, not that she didn't enjoy it, it was just something she wasn't used to so she was a little embarrassed but as a whole, she was happy.

Book smiled as he slept, snuggling himself closer. He was dreaming about if his books got famous and he had stores all over Eqestria and he only was selling one book at each book store. He looked relaxed and happy as he slept.

 

(It's hard to type up a post for a sleeping character.. O.o Timeskip though?)

I understand you not wanting She took him to the bed and laid down next to him with a smile. "Don't worry about it.... Its okay really..", she said and kissed his nose. "I understand you not wanting to ruin anything important for me... And I'm thankful for itr", she assured him.

He yawned and smiled at her. He lied on the bed and put his glasses aside. Book snuggled against her. "You can wake me up for something important, alright?" He told her sleepily, rubbing his eyes and smiling at her. His eyes drooped and he yawned, falling asleep quickly.
