Deja Vu pouted slightly in protest when he asked about going to bed so early, but quickly shook her head clear of any argument against it and led him to her bedroom. "Sure. we can go to bed, it's fine. I don't want to keep you awake against your will, if your'e tired, we will go to sleep", she said and nuzzled him to show she really didn't mind.

"Sorry... I guess Echo tired me out..." Book shrugged. He felt bad for going to bed when she wasn't tired. He smiled and nuzzled back. "I truly do feel bad for it though... I just don't want to pass out in the middle of something important on you..." Book admitted. He rubbed his eyes sleepily and followed her.

Blitz looked to the side when the voice of Book went through. She looked at the stallion for a bit, tilted her head, then gave a big smile to him as well.

 

"Hi Book. I'm fine just a little weeee-oozie."

 

When she had begun to say the last word she had spaced out a little so it had gone a minor amount of *out there* for a few seconds before she were back with them again.

 

"Hehe, spinny. You good too? Found the hat pony?"

 

She might try and hide it a little, but Blitz was clearly not a 100% going yet. She still looked a little drained, and the spacing out said that her brain hadn't had enough time to relax to give her a completely stable set going. Or well, as stable as she could go anyway.

He frowned. "You are taking another nap before doing anything else." Book said, looking over her, acting like a father to her. He sat down and looked at her, not wanting to have her see the hospital for at least a few more days, feeling bad that the hospital had a record of eight days for not seeing her.

Book glanced at the door when he thought he heard Blitz. He blinked when Pinkie blurred into the room. "Hey there Pinkie." He greeted. Book frowned a little when he saw Blitz up. "You all better now there Blitz?" He asked, wanting to make sure the energetic filly was feeling better and wasn't as exhausted.

Storm chuckled, "Knowing Blitz, she'll either wake up and rush off to continue her work... Or she'll figure that either me or Pinkie are waiting out here and toss a smokebomb or something for a theatric entrance.... And then promptly be able to enjoy the yummy muffins I brought her!" Storm replied with a smile, holding up the sack of 'Boom Bomb' muffins.

"Yeah.... She's really silly but doesn't exactly know her limits quite yet... I mean, eight days?! That's their record of how long she could be out if the hospital for whatever reason she needed." Book sighed and glanced at the door again, wanting to make sure she was still in the hospital safely.

"Yeppers!" Storm replied with a happy nod. "I actually was in love with her for the longest time before I accidentally blurted it out.... Thankfully things worked out, and I now consider myself the luckiest stallion in the world!" He explained. "Plus, Pinkie makes a perfect Mother-Figure for Grey!" Storm exclaimed. "It's like the most positively positive thing in the whole wide world!" He continued excitedly, before pausing. "Well, for me at least..." He finished sheepishly, rubbing a hoof to his neck.

"Well, those are all really good points for you two!" Book said happily. He looked towards Blitz's room a bit. "I wonder when she'll sprint out of that room..." He said quietly, expecting that was what she'd do to get out of there and go to do her own things.

"Yeah, I probably should... Otherwise, I'm sure Pinkie will..." Storm replied with a chuckle. "Ever since Pinkie and I got together as special someponies, she's pretty much taken the role of Grey's mom..." He smiled. "Which means that, of course, she finds those two adorable and is pushing me to push them together..." Storm laughed again, "Before you know it, she'll have a party set up just for that purpose...."

He continued to muse aloud. "Though it was a bit of an accident that I even let slip my feelings for her, everything turned out great... Pinkie's also pushing me to get them together so they don't have to stumble around each other like we, well mostly me, used to..."

"Oh... Uh so you and Pinkie are a thing?" He said, scratching his neck a bit. Book didn't have a special somepony and not a lot of mares took a lot of interest in him besides as an author and he didn't really have a crush on any ponies. He thought other ponies as a couple were cute but wasn't interested in having a date before.

Storm smiled, "Yeah, I do my best to support and show him the love he deserves..." he said. "And I'm always happy to see him happy... Though I hope that either him or Scootaloo get a clue about the other soon..." Storm continued with a chuckle. "Grey has quite the crush on Scootaloo, but what he doesn't know is that she likes him too. I bet when one of them finally confesses, they're incredibly likely to get together." He finished, his smile widening into a grin.

In the back of Book's mind, he was chanting for a matchmaker. "Well that's adorable. You might just need to send a push towards them so they'll figure out they have a crush on the other." Book smiled, thinking it'd be adorable if they actually would start dating as kids.

"Well, at least he doesn't need to deal with it any more..." Storm mused aloud. "Apparently his parents were (un)fairly distant with him... So much so, that it was only about two days before he started referring to me as dad..." He continued a bit sadly, before perking up a bit. "But while it's sad that his dad was distant with him, it does make me glad that I seem to be doing well as a father.." Storm said happily, his smile making the return trip to his face.

"Well that's sad that his parents were that distant... It makes you think that you were so much more privlidged..." He said. "Thankfully you took him in though." Book smiled. "He seemed very happy to see you when he attacked you to the ground with love." He smiled.

Storm chuckled and rubbed a hoof to his neck, "Yeah, I've been teaching him.. Having brought him 'under my wing'" Storm paused to chuckle at the pun, "I try to teach him what I can..." here his expression took an express train to frowny-town. "It's unfortunate what his life was like before I saved him... and not just the timberwolves either, his genetic parents, his school... It makes me sad to think about it, and that other colts and fillies may go through similar situations..." Storm said seriously, some tears forming at the corners of his eyes.

"Yeah... It's sad how some ponies lives can be like that..." Book sighed and frowned. "It's kinda funny how if you get something you never had a chance to get before, you're more grateful for it than some other ponies who have easier access to said thing." Book said.

Deja Vu nuzzled him lightly and wrapped a hoof around his shoulder. "Okay. That's fine, then", she said quietly as her tailed tightened around his leg. She kissed him lightly and just laid there with him holding her and her holding him. "So you're not put off by Echo too much.... That's fabulous".

Book ignored her tail and he looked at the time and yawned. He smiled and kissed her back. "I'm kinda tired, want to go to bed?" Book asked her, smiling sheepishly at her and feeling bad that he was really tired while she looked like everything was completely fine and ready to do things.

Storm smiled, "Oh so you like writing fictional stories? YAY! That's awesome, so what's your favorite kind of fiction? Action, Adventure, Mystery, Sci-fi, or maybe Actiony Adventurous Sc-fi Mysteries?" Storm asked excitedly. "Because all of that sounds awemazingly funtastic to read about! ....Then again, maybe that's mostly the sci-fi part, since I pretty much get the rest of that pretty often around Ponyville...." He said, calming down and putting a hoof to his chin as he thought about that.

 

Suddenly a dark grey and blue blur slammed into Storm, carrying him across the hall with an "oof!" escaping his muzzle as he landed. The blur was revealed to be a dark grey pegasus colt, with a mane in various shades of blue "Hey dad! I heard Blitz was in the hospital, is she alright?" The colt asked Storm worriedly. Storm chuckled as he got up, pulling the colt into a hug, "Blitz is fine son, don't worry. She's just ended up working herself into exhaustion again... Though with the way yo're acting, I would think you had a crush on her... I thought you liked Scootaloo?" He asked colt with a grin, as the colt blushed bright red. "Daaaaad..." He whined at Storm, "You aren't supposed to say that in public..." The colt said, looking around nervously. "I don't want Scootaloo hearing that.." Storm chuckled again as he stood up, ruffling the colt's mane "Don't worry Grey, I'm fairly sure she's not in the hospital right now."

 

Turning to Book, Storm introduced the newest arrival. "Hey Book, this is my son Grey Sky. I adopted him after saving him from some Timberwolves in the forest." He informed his book-writing friend. "Grey, this is Book Quill a new friend of mine, and a friend of Blitz." He told his son with a smile. Turning to Book, Grey started talking, "Hiya! It's nice to meet you Mr.! I'm Grey Sky like dad said, and you should've seen him when he saved me! He was all like, BOOM, POW, Wham!" He attempted to mimic the kicks and attacks that Storm used on the timberwolves, throwing in verbal sound effects for good measure. "And then he grabbed me and there was a big 'BOOM' And then we were in town, he told me it was a Sonic Boom, and that it happens when the sound barrier breaks!" Grey informed the older pony happily. "I may know some Hoof-to-hoof combat.." Storm admitted with a chuckle as he rubbed the back of his neck.

 

"Hey Grey, where are the rest of the Crusaders?" Storm asked. "Oh they're at Rarities, She wanted to make sure it was alright with you before taking us to Fluttershy's house to play with the animals. She has some projects she needs to work on, so fluttershy offered to watch us.. Plus we thought we could get some animal cutie marks!" Storm laughed, "Well, that sounds great... Yeah, you can go but be careful okay?" Grey nodded eagerly. "Okay dad, I will!" He called as he ran out of the room.

 

(OOC: Wow, I didn't mean to make it this long, sorry.. It just kinda.. happened... )

Book smiled. "I uh, actually write all those genres... I like to have a various genres under fiction avalible for anypony who likes a certain kind of genre that I write." Book explained excitedly.

 

Book was a bit surprised when Storm was knocked off his chair by... His son? To him it just striked him as odd, a colt pushing a full grown stallion off a chair. Book hid a laugh with his hoof at the mention of the colt's crushes and the boy's reaction to it.

 

Book smiled and waved to the colt when he was introduced to him. "Nice to meet you, as he also said, I'm Book Quill. I write books so I know what you mean and I can see how that probably played out all 'Daring Do' style." Book smiled and winked a bit to Storm.

 

When Grey ran out, Book laughed a bit. "That kid sure has energy. And is pretty funny." Book smiled.

"Okie Dokie! That's totally understandable! So... Now I know you write books, and fly to get your mind off of things... Is there a specific genre or type of book you stick to? Also, have you ever wanted to learn to play an instrument? Or do you know how to play one?" Storm asked, understanding that Book just wasn't one to enjoy fast speeds of flight like him and Rainbow were.

"I'll do anything that's fiction or at least nothing really non-fictional." Book said, shrugging casually. "I don't know how to play any instruments much... And I've never really wanted to..." Book said, not really into playing instruments but liking to listen to them sometimes.

 

(Me typing up about him not playing an instrument hurts my heart... I play the viola.)

She sighed in blissful contentment. "Well, okay then. If Echo comes back, then I'll just let him show up if you want and really don't mind him popping up. She nuzzled his neck affectionately and wrapped her hooves around him and couldn't be happier than she was at the moment.

"If he's really bugging me I'll let you know." He said and smiled a bit. Book smiled and nuzzled her, putting a hoof around her waist happily. He was content with right now and nibbled her ear softly and smiled, liking to be near her for right now in the peace.

Storm chuckled, "Yeah those usually get ponies flying away pretty quickly, wings or not..." He said with a smile. "But yeah, breaking the sound barrier's fun.. It's a rush every time, something about doing that never gets old..." Storm informed Book thoughtfully. "But I'm sure it's nothing like what Rainbow must feel when she does a Sonic Rainboom..." He finished with a laugh.

Book laughed at what Storm said about the flying. "I jus don't think I can do it, I don't fly that often. And even when I do fly, it's not very fast." Book shrugged, not really into speed flying. He normally just flew to get his mind off of something that would be bothering him.

Storm chuckled. "Yeah, books are nice... Though when I'm home I generally prefer to practice my guitar..." He told Book happily. "Though flying is my second favorite thing to do... In order my favorite things to do are probably: Party, Fly, Guitar, Read, and Draw. Well, the top five anyway..." Storm said. "Have you ever broken the sound barrier?" He asked curiously.

"I like to fly to get my mind off things... So when I'm home I'll write or read mainly. Maybe a few other things I can't think of right now so..." Book said, shrugging casually at the last part. "Broken the sound barrier? Nope. Not even close." Book shook his head. "The closest I've gotten was flying away from Blitz's bomb." He said.

Deja Vu smiled and nodded. "For the most part, yes. Those are mainly the only times he will be coming to bug us", she said and rested her head back on his his shoulder. "Sorry. I will try to keep him away at all times if you want me too, if it makes it easier on you", she said.

He slowly leaned his head on her head. "I don't mind if he comes back, as long as I get at least some quality time with you." Book smiled and blushed a bit, slowly kissing Deja Vu's forehead gently. He wanted it to be easy on her so she didn't have to worry about Echo too much.

"Well generally I like to fly around in my free time. though sometimes I like to read or draw... I often play my guitar when I'm home... Other than that I party with Pinkie and other ponies and sculpt clouds... " Storm said with a smile, one that widened at the mention of Pinkie Pie.

"Well we have a few things in common there." Book smiled. "I like flying sometimes, I write books and re-read them sometimes. Occasionally I'll sculpt clouds, but not often." Book shrugged a bit at the last part. He thought about his book store with a slight frown, not sure if he had it unlocked or not.

Storm nodded. "Yeah and because there's still the base, there's still a place for the magic to direct itself. If the base was broken, the magic would likely be unable to flow out and into the area... Not to mention the remains of the horn give it a form to grow into, without that it could simply seal over the area altogether..." He reasoned out.

"So thankfully she's likely to be able to cast magic again in the future... And I'm very thankful that accident wasn't worse, it was a really big explosion..." Storm informed Book with a small shudder before shaking his head. "I told her we should've used a longer fuse..." He mumbled.

He nodded. "So, what do you like to do during your free time Storm?" Book asked him curiously, wanting to pass the time until Blitz wakes up and is all better. He leaned back into the chair until his back and wings were comfortably against the back of his chair.

"Well I think it's something like this..." Storm started. "I think that due to the loss of her horn, she can't use her magic for spells or whatever else... Because of that the magic is just kind of... contained... in her body, and I believe that instead of allowing it to bottle up and potentially burst or stop producing magic, her body is subconsciously using the excess magic to rebuild her horn. It's likely a lot easier for her than it would be for an adult unicorns, since her body is still growing. an adult unicorn might not be able to regrow their horn because of the fact that they have finished growing, though I could be wrong..." He explained thoughtfully.

"So her horn growing back is similar to a volcano rebuilding itself?" He asked comparing it. "It aslo could be that she's still growing, like you said before." Book said, thinking. He put a hoof to his chin as he thought about how the horn could be growing back. "She also said that if it was broken to the very stub of the horn, it wouldn't grow back." Book said.

Storm smiled, "Thanks.. It's an experimental recipe, so I'm glad it turned out well..." He replied happily. "Maybe I'll try and make one she can light later? Maybe have it explode with cupcake batter...? No, no... Maybe...? Hmm..." Storm mumbled to himself for a moment. "Nah, the cakes already told Blitz that's a bad idea.. They'd probably lecture me on wasting batter... And if I used confetti, Pinkie would probably get a tad upset at contaminating baked goods with non-edible items..." He chuckled, cutting the idea off before it could take root. "I really hope Blitz feels better soon..." Storm said worriedly, pushing his goggles down to hang around his neck. "I keep telling her to be careful.. Though I'm really glad it's not another bomb incident... That last big accident broke her horn, you know..." He Informed Book with a small frown. "Thankfully it does seem to be growing back."

Book listened best he could, finishing the muffin. "Thank Celestia she just needed sleep and it wasn't anything too dangerous to her body." Book sighed a bit. "Yeah, she told me what happened and that it was weird how her horn grows back." Book shrugged, not understanding magic.

Storm laughed, "I'd better tell her that it's not a real bomb then, huh?" He chuckled. "I don't think she'll try to light it after that... Anyways if you want one, here.... They aren't likely to last if Blitz gets to them like she usually does..." Storm informed Book with another chuckle, offering him the bomb shaped muffin.

"Might be funny to see her reaction though." Book laughed. "That is, if she tried to light it anyways." Book smiled. He took the muffin and started to eat it. "Thanks. This is really good." Book said happily, eating more of the muffin. This would be really good with some coffee right now too... He thought as he ate.

"Wow. Um... That makes me feel really special. You can't even tell who I am. Thanks, that's makes me feel absolutely amazing", she said with a small pout and a semi offended laugh, not sure if he was serious. "Deja Vu. You won't see a lot of Echo here, since he finds my decor to be boring".

He smiled sheepishly at her. "Sorry... It can be a bit hard sometimes..." He said and felt bad for her. Book glanced at the time and was a bit tired. He nodded at what she said. "Only times Echo decides to visit is at any movie but romance, making pranks, and clearing thugs up?" Book asked, smiling a little.

Storm chuckled. "Well it's a relief to hear that she's okay.. And it's nice meet you Book" He replied happily, sitting next to Book. "I made plenty of muffins, but like I said it's a new recipe.. And a new baking method..." Storm informed his fellow stallion, pulling one out. "I made these in the likeness of Blitz's Cutie Mark, and if she likes them I'm planning to call them Boom Bomb Muffins.. The recipe I made should give them quite the explosion of flavor... Metaphorically speaking, though blitz would love it to be literal, I'm sure.." He explained with grin and a chuckle.

"Yeah, she probably will be disappointed to know it's not an actual bomb muffin." Book laughed. "She might just like the fire when it burns. That is, if she lights it on fire to see what would happen to it." Book grinned and looked around a bit more, drawing his attention quickly back to Storm.

*Personality changed to Echo* "Um.... Why am I laying on your lap... Never mind", he said with a groan. "Either way, I'm not gonna hurt you, don't worry. Now, if you don't mind, peace out". *Personality changed to Deja Vu * "So you are sleeping over, sweet".

(I think it'd be easier to keep him a guy. Bit more easier to tell who's in control)

 

Book knew it was Echo from what he said. "That's comforting." Book shrugged a bit.

 

"Yeah, I'll stay the night." Book smiled. "Can't tell, Echo in control or Deja Vu?" He asked, a bit embarrassed he couldn't tell the difference between them at the moment.

Storm closed the door and gasped. "She overworked herself again didn't she?" He asked the new pony. "Oh, er sorry I totally forgot to introduce myself I'm Storm Shine, I'm not sure if we met before or not, I tend to ramble on at times, or go into things without thinking, and the fact that I found out that Blitz was admitted to the hospital has made me pretty worried.. I made her these muffins with a new recipe hoping that she'd be happy to try them, and then I get to her place and see somepony else there and they told me that Blitz was in the hospital and so I flew over here as fast as possible to check and make sure she was okay.." Storm gestured to the aforementioned muffins when he got to that part, and took a big gulp of air after his long rant.

 

"Sorry, I tend to ramble extra when I'm worried, or excited... I was afraid she got into another explosives accident.. Though I really thought I got through to her the last time I reminded her that she still needs her sleep too..." Storm informed the other pony apologetically, looking down and rubbing a hoof against his neck feeling slightly embarrassed.

Book nodded. "Yeah.. She was with us last night and just thunk she was out. She was still alive and fine thank Celestia, but we brought her here so she could sleep." Book explained and sat down, looking at Storm. "Right... Nice to meet you Storm, I'm Book Quill." Book introduced himself, smiling a bit. "Well, while we wait, want to sit?" Book suggested. He looked at the muffins. "Are they good?" He asked, realizing that he was pretty hungry and thought about last time he had food. "Agh, sorry... I just haven't eaten in a while and I just got up so you understand that food sounds good right now..." He apologized, shaking his head to try and get the idea of muffins out of his head.
