Okay, so this is the second Magic Music Pony that I've acquired, and also happens to be the second of two that's unfortunately not listed on A Guide to MGA’s Magic Touch Ponies. I bought her from ebay and the seller listed her name as being 'Arabeth', but I know for a fact that this isn't true as not only is the Arabeth on the site listed here not even the same color, I was able to find one being sold on Poshmart (I haven't bought this one and probably won't be able to get more of the ponies for awhile) that verifies that the Arabeth on the guide is correct. I reached out to the creator of the blog about names for this one and the previous Magic Music Pony I shared, so I guess we'll see if i get a response or not. Anyway, onto the pic and my thoughts on it!

    Name Unknown
    Description/Backstory Unknown
Unfortunately I don't know the name or background of this Magic Music Pony either. She's quite pretty though. She's one of the standing poses vs. the walking one. he figures can actually come with two different eye color variants, that being blue or purple. This one came with purple eyes. Most of her is pink,, thought her legs have a gradient to light purple with sparkles, though it's a little harder to tell on this one compared to the blue Magic Music pony I shared before. Her tail is solidly purple, but her mane has two extra colors in it. It's a little hard to tell, but there are streaks of pink and a light blue in it. The music notes of her mane are also blue vs. the purple of the teal colored one I last shared. I think I like the color combinations of the previous Magic Music pony  a little better, but this one is still pretty. I don't know if she works, but if she does she'd play music, and i presume that the music mane notes would light up too. It'd be activated by pressing the music note on her hip. Like the Magic Jewel ponies, the Magic Music ponies only ave their 'mark' on one side. I do like the Magic Music line a little more as far as aesthetics go however, as the Magic Jewel ponies feel a little bit too plain to me even compared to the Magic Heart ponies, which differ in having the cheek heart mark and necklace with marks on both their hips vs. the Jewels having earrings along and the button 'mark' on only one of their hips. Not sure if I have a favorite line of the ones I have so far, but the Magic Jewels are probably lowest right now, even though I do like them a lot too.
Anyway, that's all I have to say right now. Hopefully I'll be able to get more of them down the line! I've got 11 out of the 20 now, not including any limited mail-order only, so a little over halfway there!

So after getting in contact with the person that made the blog A Guide to MGA’s Magic Touch Ponies, they updated the blog with the last two ponies and found a name. Unfortunately there was some kind of packaging error so the name could belong to either of these Magic Music Ponies. I'm gonna do a little searching myself to to see if I can find anything, but for now I'll share these two ladies again with the name and character bio below. As always, info was found on the blog linked above.

    Antonia
“Antonia Magic Music is the happiest pony in Crystalia. She loves to tell jokes and pull many pranks on her friends. You help her keep a joyful mood by brushing her mane. Listen! She sings a sweet melody to thank you! Every time she sings, waves of happy energy flood through Crystalia. Together you spread laughter and fun wherever you go!”
In the words of the owner of the blog, taken directly from there as well: "Now these next two present a bit of a puzzle, as of the only boxed examples I can find, there appears to be a packaging error as they both use Antonia’s box, despite clearly being different characters. Thus, I am unable to determine which one is the actual Antonia – and the actual name of the other character!"
I think it's a pretty cool mystery. It would be neat to be able to solve it. Even if it can't be, i still think it'll be fun to try!

It's been awhile since I added to this blog. I do have a new 'Magic Touch' Pony to share, but I've been lazy/distracted/busy about posting her. So here she is, the 4th and last of the 'Magic Heart' line: Mariah. As always, info is pulled from  A Guide To MGA's Magic Touch Ponies on Crystalline Toybox.

    Mariah
“Mariah Magic Heart has a mystical gift. She can look inside your heart and see your secret wishes! But she needs your help to activate her powers. Every time you brush her silky mane, her heart light shines, releasing her magic. Tell her the secrets of your heart, and together you can make dreams come true!“
I found this one still in her box for a reasonable price online (photo 1). The box also came with info on her, with you can see in the pics above (2 and 3). I didn't keep her in the box, as it takes up a lot of space and it seemed weird to keep her in the box when the rest are out and on my shelf. Pic 4 is what her and her brush look like out of the box, and the 5th and last pic is an attempt to show her lighting up. They aren't great photos as I take them with my photo, but they are at least readable. I'm up to 10 of these toys now, so halfway there, not including a pair of mail-order only ones I'll probably never be able to get.
As for her condition, being fresh out of the box she's in very good condition. What surprises me more is that her batteries still work, which makes me happy. This 'Magic Heart' pony seemed extra hard to find, but I was about to complete this set once i did. I think part of the problem of finding her was that she looks a lot like Carmelia, who has very similar colors. Their hip marks (not sure what the actual name is, but they aren't cutie marks) are also the same color, though Carmelia has stylized hearts/presumably heart-shapes bugs, and Mariah here has keys and heart-shaped lockets the keys would fit into. They do have different poses though, so there is at least some distinction. I love the colors of this pony, but I do wish they had used a little more variety with color than they did.
Since Mariah here is the last of the 4 'Magic Hearts' ponies, here are all of them together.
Left to Right: Mariah, Miranda, Shyla, Carmelia

I've gotten my hands on another of the magic touch ponies. This newest (using the term loosely, since these toys were created in 1996) one is one out of four of the Magic Music line.
Info on the 'Magic Music' line, taken from 'A Guide to MGA’s Magic Touch Ponies':
    Magic Music Ponies
“Magic Music Ponies keep the world alive with sounds of laughter and dance! They are never hard to find — just follow their musical trail!“
Magic Music Ponies play music, ostensibly when their mane is brushed according to the packaging! They feature a sculpted crest of musical notes at the base of their mane, a shiny chromed music note button on their flank and a glittered gradient in a contrasting colour up their legs. Their accessories include a brush and a tube of glittery hair gel.
The one I obtained is below.

Unfortunately, I don't have any info on her, as she's not currently listed in the guide; no name, no background. I'll just share my thoughts on the pony for now, and make a new blog entry later it i find out her name and stuff. I did reach out to the creator of the guide to see if they have any insight, so we'll see.
I like this look a lot. The 'Magic Music' ponies have a gradient on their legs with sparkles similar to the 'Magic Hooves' line. I like the color of the body, as I haven't obtained one in this nice shade of blue before and. Unlike all the ones I've collected so far, this one has two extra color tones in her light pink mane - a white and a purple. Some other ponies might have 2 extra tones in their mane, but she's the first I've gotten. Some of her paint has chipped off sadly, but as I've said before I don't mind some damage. Just the fact I can even find them to collect is enough. She was a bit dirty when i got her, but some rubbing/isopropyl alcohol got most of the marks I found off. I don't know if this particular toy I got works as she didn't come with batteries, but I don't mind if she doesn't work.
I believe this one brings me up to 9 out of an assumed 20 (not including any mail orders that I'll likely never be able to get). Almost halfway there! We'll see if I can ever get the rest of them!

I got the other Magic Touch Pony I ordered today, so I'm going to share her now. She's the first I've gotten of one of the sub lines of the Magic Touch series of horses called 'Magic Hooves' Ponies. I'll share the info I'd found about this line and the specific pony below. As always, all info comes from A Guide to MGA’s Magic Touch Ponies on Crystalline Toybox.
    Magic Hooves Ponies
“Magic Hooves Ponies make the skies beautiful. They dance across the clouds spreading sparkles and colours wherever they touch their bright hooves.“
'Magic Hooves Ponies have light-up hooves, as the name implies, and also sing according to the box! They also feature a contrasting colour gradient (with glitter) on their lower legs. Their accessories include a brush, two pairs of stick-on jewel earrings (although this doesn’t seem to be the case for all of them – perhaps a later release?) and a ‘hoof stamp pad’ which is an ink pad intended for you to utilize the pony’s hooves as the stamper.'
Below is a picture of the pony, her character description, and my personal thoughts on the toy itself.

    Simone
“Simone Magic Hooves is the most creative pony in Crystalia. As she dances through the city, new ideas magically spring to life. But she needs you to activate her creative powers! When you help her leap through the air, her hooves light up with colourful energy beams. Do you hear the music she makes? It is the sound of a new idea being born. Stamp her sparkling hooves into your ink pad, and she writes her secret on paper only, to people her inventions look like hoove prints!“
I really like the aesthetic of this toy. Her colors work really well together, and I like the sparkling gradient on her legs (all of the Magic Hooves ponies have a similar gradient on their legs). I think Simone here might also be unique in that she has these sparkling strands in her mane as well, though I can't be sure based on the other pictures. Like the Magic Hearts ponies, Magic Hooves ones also have a mark on their flank/hip as well. It might be hard to tell from this picture, but Simone's here is a magic wand with a star on the end, shooting out other magical stars around it - all of it pink. Their hooves are supposed to light up, and this one I got came with batteries in it, but I have no idea how to activate the lights, so for now it'll remain a mystery.
I'm up to 8 ponies of of 20 main ones so far. Out of the 5 sub categories, I have all of the Magic Jewel ones, I have 3 of 4 Magic Hearts, 1 of 4 Magic Hooves, 0 of 4 Magic Music, and 0 of 4 Magic Secret. There's also technically 2 more known ones as shown on the guide listed above, a duo of an apparent mother and daughter with the 'mother' being called a 'Magic Kisses' pony and the smaller 'daughter' being called a 'Magic Fancy Hair' pony. They were supposedly a mail-order only and had no apparent names unlike the rest, so I have no allusions of ever acquiring either. I'll be happy just to collect the rest someday, if possible.

I've ordered a couple of Magic Touch Ponies that I haven't had before. There seems to be a weird issue with the other one so I may not be able to get it, but I was able to at least get the one below. Like always, all of the info about the pony was found on on A Guide To MGA's Magic Touch Ponies on Crystalline Toybox.

“Jasmin Magic Jewels is the fanciest pony in Crystalia. She is known far and wide for her excellent taste. Magically, she turns ordinary things into luxuries using secret powers. But she can’t work her power alone! She needs you to touch your secret jewel ring to the jewel on her side. Beams of light activate her magic. Together, you make the floating city, Crystalia a grand adventure!“
This pony is a very bright, bold pink in contrast to the other 'pink' ones I have so far. It certainly makes her stand out, though isn't my favorite color combination. This is no fault of the seller of course, as this is how 'Jasmin' was designed. I do appreciate the little braid that she came with in the separate color tone in her mane. I don't know if the seller put that in themselves, but I decided to keep it and tied it off, though you can't see that in the photo here. I don't know if she works as she came with no batteries and I have none to put in her right now, but I don't mind if they work or not. I just wanna collect them. Oh, she would've come with a brush of her own and a ring that would make her light up if she had batteries and the ring was pressed, but she didn't come with them. I think all the Magic Jewel ponies would have come with similar accessories.
Also, Jasmin marked the fourth and final of the 'Magic Jewel' ponies, meaning I've completed one of the five sub-categories of the 'Magic Tough Pony' line! I'm gonna share them all at the end again now that I have all 4!
From Left to Right; Jasmin, Sapphire, Selina, and Shannon

I don't have any new toys to share, but I did find a commercial for the Magic Touch ponies from 1996. It's not great quality, but it's nice to see something like this preserved from my childhood (and the childhood of many others, as I definitely wasn't the only kid who had one of these toys). I just wanted to share this extra bit of nostalgia!

So the blog 'A Guide to MGA's Magic Touch Ponies' just got a big update. I don't know if there might be other toys missing, but one of the ones I provided in the last entry had no description, and I never included anything about the kingdom the toy line takes place in. This entry will be kinda short, but I thought it might be better to just make a new one than edit the old one. Anyway, here's a bit more info on Shyla and the kingdom she's from.
“High above us floats the mystical city Crystalia, ruled by magical ponies. Long ago a brilliant rainbow showered Crystalia, gifting ponies with magic powers. Each pony possesses a rare mystical talent that is activated only with your magic touch! You can help the magic ponies keep happiness in the city by keeping their magic shining!”
And here she is with her description.

    Shyla
‘Shyla Magic Heart is adored in Crystalia for her kindness & beauty, always putting others first.“
That's all the blog author TessFabled was able to find on her. I just like that there's anything on Shyla at all. Apparently she's pretty rare in the 'Magic Heart' line. That makes me even happier I was able to get one of her.
Anyway, that's all I have for now! Hopefully I'll eventually have more of these ponies to share, because I really love them!

All character information about each pony will be taken from 'A Guide to MGA's Magic Touch Ponies' with no edits made to them. My personal thoughts about each toy will come after these descriptions.

    Carmelia
Carmelia Magic Heart is famous for her bravery. She performs heroic acts in the city Crystalia, saving other ponies from danger. But she needs you to activate her powers. When you brush her silky mane, Carmelia Magic Heart lights up with magic energy, the light from her heart makes her fearless. You are the real hero behind her secret power!
Carmelia is first of four ponies I first got together in a group selling on ebay. She's part of the 'Magic Heart' series. She's a bit worn out, like where the back hoof has paint chipped off. I don't know if this particular model lights up, but if the heart on her cheek there were pushed, both it and the hear on her collar there would light up. She's also got a mark on her flank similar to a cutie mark, which appears on both hips.

    Sapphire
Sapphire Magic Jewels is a fantastically lucky pony. She was born under a fortune star, which gifted her with the power to make lucky things happen. When you wear the magic jewel ring, you hold the key to her power. Touch your ring to the jewel on Sapphire Magic Jewel’s side and she lights up with mystic energy. Together you can bring good fortune your way!
Sapphire is the 2nd of 4 that I got together on ebay. She's part of the 'Magic Jewel' line. She's the only yellow-bodied horse that I have and i really like her color scheme. If the jewel on her flank is pushed, both it and the earrings on her ears would light up. She and the other 'magic jewel' ponies only have the jewel on the one side, but both ears have and earring under the ears.

    Selena
Selena Magic Jewels is the friendliest (??) magic ability to turn frowns into smiles wh (??) your help to spread harmony in the floating (??) powers when you touch your magic jewel (??) Suddenly she lights up with kindly energy (??) new friends.
Selena is the 3rd of the 4 ponies I bought as a bundle on ebay. Like Sapphire above, she is also a 'Magic Jewel' pony. The description for Selena sadly isn't entirely compete. This particular one had her mane and tail cut shorter before I ever got her. All of the ponies, like the ones above, have much longer hair. I like it though; it makes her different from the other ponies as they have very similar stances otherwise, though a few like Sapphire have one varied stance. She lights up just like Sapphire.

    Shannon
Shannon Magic Jewels is the strongest pony in Crystalia. She loves to compete with the other ponies. She can run fast, jump high, and gallop far. But she needs you to activate her super-strength! When you touch your magic jewel ring to the jewel on her side, she lights up with powerful energy. Brush her shiny mane so she looks beautiful crossing the finish line. Together you are always the winner!
Shannon is the 4th and last of the bundle I got from ebay. Like Selena and Sapphire, she too is a 'Magic Jewel' pony. Her flank jewel and earrings both light up like the previous two in this list.

    Shyla
    N/A atm.
Shyla is a 'Magic Heart' pony that I bought on ebay first thinking she was the one I had as I kid, but she wasn't. The marks on her flanks weren't quite right. I found the one I had online (she'll be up next) and showed them to my dad. He said he liked this one. Like Carmelia at the top she too would light up if the heart on her cheek were pressed, but I don't know if she works. I got her on her own. She came with the braid on her tail and i wanted to leave it there so I tied a little cord around it later on to make sure it stayed in place. Sadly, I don't have a description to share of her. She's not on the blog yet, but I was able to find and reach out the creator of the blog and they were kind enough to give me Shyla's name.

    Miranda
Miranda Magic Heart is the wisest pony in Crystalia. But she needs your help to work her wisdom. When you brush her mane, her powers shine. Magic light beams in her heart make her super-smart! When you activate her power, you help her think of wise words and brilliant solutions. Let her shed magic light on your own questions. She loves to help!
Like Shyla and Carmelia, Miranda is part of the 'Magic Heart' line. I found her on a site called mercari, which is similar to ebay. She's the one I had as I kid and sadly got rid of many years ago. I'm glad I found her again. She came with a cute bow around her tail - which the one I had as a kid didn't have - as well as the comb and little stickers in the picture. She actually does light up. I'm glad I was able to find her.

Well, that's all of them for now. I don't know when this blog will get a new entry, but when I eventually get new ones, I'll be sharing them too!
