  1. Be that paradigm. You can be the example that humans should follow to revert back to a more natural lifestyle which mean getting off and staying off the internet. I agree that we as humans have done some less that nice things, but we can't just backtrack to save ourselves. We're in deep enough that the only way to move is forward.

Typical "I can't do everything, so I'll do nothing" mentality and a bit of misunderstanding, but I applaud you for not brushing humankind's wrongdoings under the rug.

Being more naturocentric one doesn't involve that sort of regression, especially when the area doing the most damage is the animal agriculture industry, aside from such an industry itself being about as morally right as other forms of enslavement, exploitation, mass genocide and desecration of the land in the past and present. So the areas that need to be changed or ones that contribute to that as well as similar industries(A plant-based or vegan way of living helps quite a bit there, especially since a well-planned one is something humans thrive on quite well(its not really a surprise, we are primates after all)), its not rocket science.  And of course direct action has its place as well. This is moving forward, in a way that won't require multiple worlds that will all suffer the same grim fate.

  2. Sir, that is completely uncalled for. I was asking a question of you, making an inquiry. How could I even formulate such if I had no mind of my own?

I made no judgments of you but you call me naive and incapable of independent thought?

You answered my question, and I respect your answer however fiercely I disagree with it. To once again answer your prompt, no rejection hasn't occurred to me, correction on the other hoof, redemption, have both figured into my thoughts many a time.

Both are indeed a possibilities , albeit a slim one in our case. All that is required is a paradigm shift, but to attain that, we must make a number of changes to our daily lives.

Changes that, these days, are easier than ever to make, but those require our species to swallow our arrogance, our ego, our discrimination habits. As you know of course, we tend to be very stubborn and have an irrational fear of change, weather it be good or bad.

However, the number of people waking up and making these changes are slowly but steadily increasing, so there is a flicker of hope. But we may not get there in time.

  3. It wasn't an assumption, I phrased it as a question. An assumption would be me declaring your intent from my own findings. To answer your question of what gave me the idea, it was your post.

"Do away with" "humankind, society" hence what gave me the idea which lead to my question of clarifying your intent.

Has not the idea of rejection crossed your mind? For that was what I refer to. Make no mistake, I dislike my own kind and I do dislike the false, artificial world we have created as well as our abuse of philosophy and our egoism, lack of morality, responsibility and cognitive dissonance. Not to mention some of the lies and fallacies our kind has constructed.

As such I believe such things should be rejected, tossed away, so we may become wiser and return to our mother and fellow beings. But I can't say the thought of human extinction hasn't crossed my mind, its not a bad thing in itself, especially if we fail to learn the error of our ways in time. but I am more concerned for other beings caught in the event, going down with us.

It is very much like your naive mind to jump to conclusions, instead of giving the text some thought. Don't feel bad, alot of humans are discouraged from thinking deeply, let alone for themselves, or at all even. I know you are used to others making decisions for you and manipulating you, its a common flaw unique to our species.

  4. You want to . . . kill all of humanity?

Why the final boss from that game and not the one from Okami proper? Granted I haven't played the game and don't know who the final boss is.

What gave you that idea? Who said I wanted to kill anyone? I apologize if you took my post the wrong way. But please, it is unwise to make such assumptions.

  5. For me, its that Celestia can tell the future and so losses on purpose.

Sorry guys, she flat out lost to Chrysalis, Tirek, and some vines. She is a powerful pony, not an all-powerful pony.

I have to agree on that. It sounds more contrived than your own arguments.

One that I never really liked was the theory that Celestia is evil, its overdone and there's very little things supporting it. Sure its an interesting idea, but only for fanfiction.

Hope blushed as well and gave her a nuzzle. "I-if you don;t mind company, I would gladly escort you back to your home." He explained. The unicorn instinctively stopped himself from tapping his hooves nervously in anticipation, only then deciding to stand.

“If that is your wish, I do not mind. Perhaps you will choose to stay in kind,” she winks a bit, though you detect a faint blush. She stands to leave, “Now is a good time to away, or you may have to stay the day.” She smiles a bit at that thought, though the warning is clear: The Everfree is a dangerous place, not to be taken lightly. If you stay to long, her home would be the best place to be.

    Hope frowned.

"On second thought, I would just be dead weight. Would probably end up getting you killed."

The stallion seemed genuinely unsure about all this. It was a wonder he wasn't pacing neurotically.

"I wish I could accompany you, wise shamaness. I really do."

  7. Not a big fan of Trekkies, Star Trek fans are great, but trekkies...I can't stand them personally. They just can't enjoy something for what it is. Get ten trekkies into a room, put on any Star Trek: The Original Series episode and eventually you will hear screams of "Kirk's uniform is supposed to be two shades lighter." "The lighting is way too bright, ruined forever." and so on.

    CSI or Law and Order.

Slender(especially when compared to the first three Silent Hill games, which are scary in a genuine sense. Not resorting to any cheap tricks)

God Of War(as a Pagan and big into Greek Mythology, I couldn't help but find this series inaccurate, trying to hard to be 'dark', too Hollywood-ish, and having probably one of the worst protagonists I have seen in a game since Bubsy.)

The Evil Within(Horror game? Yeah, right.)

American remakes of foreign films, especially if the films in question are horror films. They are never as good and just serve as a disgrace to the film it is remaking. Good examples of this are The Ring(unnecessary remake of Ringu), One Missed Call, The Grudge, Dinner For Schmucks and The Departed(remake of Infernal Affairs).

American remakes of foreign TV shows, especially if the show in question is British, making said remake even more pointless.

  8. As much as I do not like to take sides, I agree with Unikitty.

I've always believed that to be Pagan is to be humble, in a way. Bragging about one's gifts is quite rude, and that's just to us mortals. In Shamanism, it is said that if you brag about your power or abilities, you will lose them.

  9. Ever since I first got into the Elder Scrolls series with Morrowind, My favorite species/race is the Khajiit(with the Argonians being 2nd favorite). My favorite class is the Warrior/knight-ish class with emphasis on sword and shield fighting style, which some dabbling in magic and stealth.

I have three Khajiit characters currently, all related to each other. If anyone is interested in reading their bios, feel free to PM me.

  10. G1 is pretty good for the most part(especially Rescue From Midnight Castle), sure it has its flaws, but it has some fairly memorable characters like Firefly and seems very much like a proto-Friendship Is Magic, yet with its own unique charm. Also, I think the G1 pony designs are up there with the FiM designs, though I admittedly do like the G1 designs slightly better do to having a bit more realism(as realistic as multicolored horses with tattoos on their bums can be).

    As for G2, G3 and G 3.5, don't bother with them.

  11. As much I found the FNAF trilogy very interesting. A fourth game just seems completly unnecessary. Sure, it could be great if handled well, but still.

On the subject of the film, as a long as its treated more like a genuine horror film(such as Ringu, The Babadook, Oculus) and less like a cheap-jump-scare film(such as Annabelle, Paranormal Activity and Ouija) then it could be very good.

Personally, I always felt Five Nights At Freddy's worked best as a novel.

  12. I am Pagan as well. Mostly eclectic(A combination of Hellenism, Celticism and Shamanism).

I find it odd that Wicca is the focus here and it is interesting. But its worth pointing out that of all the branches of Paganism, Wicca is the most recent, having first come up in the 1950s. The oldest branch is most likely Shamanism, as many indigenous tribes, including many Native Americans such as the Lakota, practiced it.

As far as the gods go, and I think this is worth mentioning, I don't believe in the gods any less then I believe in the sun and the moon, they are in everything in the natural world, as close as one's own breath. It is different from the Abrahamic faiths.

I think Paganism is a good path if you are a nature-lover, vegan and the like, seeing as its always been, at the core, the honoring of our mother, Earth herself.

I think this brings to mind the words of three chaps:

“Man’s heart away from nature becomes hard.” – Standing Bear

“The earth does not belong to us. We belong to the earth.” – Chief Sealth

“The goal of life is living in agreement with nature.” – Zeno

  13. Probably the classic Jaguar E-Type. Its timeless and certainly beautiful.

Two other favorites would be the Mid-90s Mitsubishi Eclipse:

And the legendary Jaguar XK120, it is glorious:

@@HopeTheWanderer, I respect that, and while I do think the amount of our screw ups as a species can easily be underplayed (and probably has in this topic), I think the opposite of what dwarfs what.  :) When people screw up, it's pretty obvious. When someone works thanklessly over a long period of time, it doesn't get mentioned nearly as readily. So long as we produce people who want little more than to help others, learn, explore, and create, I can't share your view of humanity.  But, like I said, I can respect where you're coming from, because we legitimately do screw up a lot.

Pardon my skepticism, I'm not one to let our species 'off the hook' so to speak. One can't just brush all of our species wrongdoings under the rug(especially since we are a legitimate threat to every living being on Earth, including ourselves) and praise what little good we've done. We are like children compared to other species and still have much to learn, hell we can't even get our diet right, that's pretty laughable.

Plus we still commit genocide today as well as tormenting other individuals, both of other species and of our own and we completely tolerate it not to mention that our species also is big into indoctrination or for lack of a better term, brainwashing.

Also, as far as looks go, we look pretty hideous when compared to other animals, not a complaint since it is fitting, but worth pointing out.

I'll sum it up with a few words: We are herbivorous beings who think they are omnivorous, I know it kind of sounds like a bad joke, but its sadly true.
