  1. Sorry to not quite be following the precise directions, but perhaps you can give me a pass just this once, as a while ago I created this poem. It is aabbcc... or at least I think it is. Nonetheless, if you like limericks, I'd assume you could like my poem. Flying through the atmosphere of the world in your mind, A place that is utterly unknown to the rest of mankind, When go and you let your imagination take control, And sit backseat to the chauffeur without a toll, Conscious and subconscious seem to inter-twine, Anything that felt wrong becomes a fading little line, Outside sounds drift away with isolation inside, No worries or problems; nothing to even hide, So slide away from the outer universe, Float inside letting the mind disperse, Time hasn't a definition, Nor do physics or gravitation, On the inside, Without rules to abide, It's a friendly neighborhood, Built of anything but plain wood, It's yours to shape, build, and save, And it's up to you how to behave, The subject could be anything you like, You could be in a car, a plane, even on a bike, Or you could be walking, or floating, or taking a hike, Nothing can limit your brain if that's what you believe, Anything is possible for you on this tomorrow's eve, Flying through the atmosphere of the world in your mind. ~ Miles
  2. L'chaim (side note: ironically I'm Christian, not Jewish)
  3. Hasha get's <3<3<3< (3.5). I've got a dog named Sadie May, and 3 cats: Louie (short for Louis Lightning); Nikki; and Kali (derived from Calico).
  4. Eeyup, and I do wonder just how sugar on the moon would be a narcotic - to each his own. The parent company of Pennzoil is Shell?
  5. Cuz you got a that keen sense of knowing when the power balance gets altered.
  6. Punctuation marks REALLY bring out the best in me???!!!
  7. I counter your pudding meme with the kool aid man!
  8. Well I'll be... I had my golden switchblade in my near left vicinity. Don't worry, it's normal for a country boy to have a collection of knifes, but them dang zombies have it coming for'em!
  9. You get a sonic screwdriver. *Inserts STP Octane Booster gasoline additive*
  10. Hehe, 9/10. Rainblow Hash, too cool, too funny (yes, in a good way). By chance, did you get inspiration from her patented "Rainblow Dry" lmao?
  11. This is very accurate. Most like A.J. because I'm a country boy, then Pinkie, likely due to my ADHD, then Fluttershy - I'm an introvert, then Twilight - I'm a Comp Sci major and I'm kind of a nerd, and then Rainbow because of how I would respond in a fight or flight situation... Not at all like Rarity, no surprise there.
  12. Wow, I got chills from that and the context. So much feels .
  13. Here comes a curveball... the last few things I bought online were 2 oil filters for my truck. One was a K&N the other was a Royal Purple. Normally I would just stick with the OEM Motorcraft filter, but I like comparing things, and, being a gearhead (one who enjoys vehicles alot), I decided to try out these aftermarket oil filters. I'm actually a member of a site/forum called BITOG (bob is the oil guy), have been for a while, so I know quite alot about oil and filters.
  14. I've always been the kind of person to enjoy a small/medium group of close friends. Growing up, I had more guy friends than girl, but still a few that were girls. As I matured, I was able to make that more even, closer to 60% guys and 40% girls (of a small group of close friends *based on the time frame of junior high and high school*). Now, in college (just finished freshman year this May)... I really only made 2 [more] close friends, one guy, one girl. Sure, I have a good amount of acquaintances, but making new friends is hard for me. Or rather, I should say it like: Making new friends is hard because I want my old friends... and, I'm a nostalgic person. As for the other meaning of the OP - I totally understand. On the outside I seem like an average 19 yr old country boy: t-shirt and jeans, Ford cap on my head, pretty much always in a good, or at least content mood (see A.J.'s expression in my default pic?). But, I'm actually a very sensitive person, and so it's hard to find guys that aren't always like "dude you should come lift with me" *eyeroll* ... or girls who think all college boys are only looking for sex, which, I practice abstinence since I'm a Christian, so... you get the point. The exception (to my friend making scenario), of course, is that I'm probably not looking hard enough, or even just not seeing possible friend candidates due to my introverted nature. On a related note, seemingly some would think it to be easier (as a guy) to try to talk to girls about MLP... but I find the opposite to be true. The close guy friend I spoke of I was able to tell because he's just a computer nerd like me, and is a very nice and understanding fellow. The friend I made that was a girl, well, I would just be too awkward, embarrassed, scared, etc. to even mention MLP to her. In all reality she wouldn't be the type to make fun of me, she's a really nice friend, but I can imagine her thoughts on me might go through some crazy alterations. I can just hear "And you say your a conservative? But you watch MLP." Not to get politics involved, but I think alot of people - anywhere on the board, right or left - should understand that just because someone leans a little bit, or even more than a little bit to the right, it doesn't mean they're close-minded, it just means they like traditional things. I love ponies. In the end, I guess I should start taking the advice we all got from Lion King: Hakuna Matata.
  15. Thanks everyone for the welcomes. One thing I should say is that I'm a busy person, so getting on here to make posts will take some time, but I promise to not go A.W.O.L. - and I may take awhile to get accustomed to this site. Not that it's overly big or complicated, but there are many things to do that may take some time before I get to doing, if you know what I mean.
  16. Although Applejack is my favorite of the Mane 6, I just felt like my OC would be better off as a pegasus because of the humorous irony in that I am afraid of heights, but if I had wings, I wouldn't be. So, I chose Miles because A- it can actually be a first name, and B- it refers to a distance measurement that I deemed appropriate as a first name for my OC; then I chose Glidershy for different reasons - 'Glider' because I would glide through the sky with wings, and I added 'shy' to the end because, though I'm not actually really all that shy, I am definitely introverted. There you have it. ~ Miles Glidershy
  17. My Favourite Mane 6 Pony: Applejack How did you find MLP Forums?: How you became a fan of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic: I am a 19 year old guy, recently finished my freshman year of college - I got a 3.86 GPA, yay! Ironically, if you knew me in real life, you'd never guess a guy like me would watch MLP. I'm a country boy who normally sticks to the traditional small town ways, as that is how I was raised. If y'all are familiar with the whole naming of the generations, I was born a Gen Y-er, but I am quite different from most people my age. Though I am a Computer Science major, I'm not the average teen who is always texting, who is hooked on social networking all the time, etc. etc... No, even though I have a cell, I use it sparingly, and I rarely get on Facebook. In my spare time, I'm either driving my truck or my motorcycle around town, or I'm on my computer, likely either searching through YouTube videos, watching MLP, or contemplating what kind of oil I'm gonna use for my next oil change (yah, I'm a gearhead). I almost always am sporting a ball cap, usually my Ford hat, or my CAT hat. Onto more relevant to MLP subject matters, I've watched all the episodes, season 1 through 4, probably at least 3 or 4 times through, if not more. It's funny that the first thing on this post to do after the title is to say which is your favorite pony... but that's just real hard for me. I like to be very descriptive, specific, and down to earth as possible, as my ADHD (I don't have attention problems, that's ADD, I have impulsive problems, but with maturing as a college student, and the help of medicine, I've gotten alot better) makes me focus greatly on being detail specific. Thus, I hope that you fellow bronies are not the "too long didn't read" type, because shortly following I will describe my stance on each pony of the Mane 6: Applejack: Being a country boy, it's no stretch to say that she and I have very similar ways and aspects. Tradition oriented thinking, stubbornness, and farmer's builds - to name a few. I like A.J. alot because of that. But more than that, her characteristics in general just appeal to me, and so she battles to have my number 1 favorite position with Rainbow Dash. Fluttershy: Well, look at my username. It's not necessarily that I'm really shy, just more that I am introverted like Fluttershy. She is loving, caring, affectionate, and understanding, and I like to think I am like that, too. Pinkie Pie: And I said - Oatmeal! Are you crazy? Hahaha, I can relate to her randomness, but she's got a bit more energy than I. Of the all the Mane 6, I know she's made me laugh the most. Rainbow Dash: It's ironic that I should have her battling for my number 1 position with Applejack, as I'm really not much of an athlete, and I'm humble like A.J. instead of having the pride that Rainbow has. It's hard to put into words why I like her so much, but I think it has alot to do with her loyalty, and thus, her instinctual reaction to protect herself and her friends. She's a fighter, or rather, guardian of the group, so to speak. She may not be as tough or as strong as A.J., but it's only small discrepancies that differ between their toughness and strength. One thing's for sure, she is/would be the first to react in fight or flight situations. Rarity: Well, I really don't have all that much in common with her, but that doesn't mean I don't like her. However, because she's such a drama queen, she's not a top favorite. Twilight Sparkle: It might blow your mind that a gearhead country boy like me would be a nerd, but, I kind of am. Twilight just has the best logic and the most common sense of the Mane 6, and that is why I am so similar to her. And so, with all that being said, the most logical way to show my ordered list of favorites would be: #1 and #2 (tied) - Applejack and Rainbow Dash #3 - Twilight Sparkle #4 and #5 (tied) - Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie #6 - Rarity Sorry to those who say you can't have multiple top favorites, but when you have such a hard-set detail oriented mind, it's hard to do anything otherwise. ~ Miles Glidershy P.S. I'm still trying to figure out how to change my user icon. But here's one of my favorite expression's of A.J.'s: The "How I found [this]" and "How I became a fan..." sections were not working properly for me, so here's the short versions of that: Found this site with Google Search - was just searching a question about the Mane 6 and found myself here. And... Curiosity. That's how I became a fan. The 2 pilot episodes was all it took to get me hooked. ~ Miles Glidershy
