It just seems awkward from an efficient standpoint anyways. Saying everypony give spelling errors, isn't used in speech almost at all, and even these forums state in their rules to not use it too much outside of the role playing section. Maybe if I was more used to saying it then it would slip, but it's just not something I say anyways, even around other bronies. If I ever DID say it in public, I'd correct myself and if someone questions me about it I'd be more than happy to explain what I like and they're free to form their opinions about me. No matter what you like or who you are, there's gonna be people that talk negatively about you or dislike you and there isn't really any way around it, so I just accept that, whether its about me liking MLP or not. -
I joined in August of 2013 (one year anniversary woop!). A friend of mine who I haven't seen in a few months informed me that he became a brony in that time. He asked me to watch just 3 episodes and then decide and if I didn't like it he'd never talk to me about it again. I tried out the three episodes (it was the very first three in season 1) and to be honest, I didn't like it at first because I thought it was boring. Then I started college and work shortly afterwards and kind of saw a few parodies along the way. Eventually I came to realize that the show was a great way to unwind after work, and then I saw more fan made creations and slowly fell in love with the show and the community. I didn't really participate though until recently and here I am today!

I'm not really sure if I should be going for show accuracy or not, I kinda just did it one day. It'd probably be easier with all the references and examples though. Thanks for the tips guys you've all be really helpful, and I'll definitely mess around with that simulate pressure option. Also idk if youb guys noticed but when I transitioned it from drawing to PS I ditched the... thingies on the hoofs, I'm not sure what they're called. Should I have done that?

Thanks everyone for all the warm welcomes! Yeah I've been mostly on freenode and PonyChat. If anyone does IRC and has been to these servers, shoot me a message. Yes it's my OC. It's the first attempt I've made at making a pony and I've been getting lots of great feedback in Octavia's Hall about how to improve him.

You're all good, this is exactly the kind of feedback that I need. I can't expect to be TEH BESTEST AND GREATEST ARTIST EVER on my first try yeah? XD I'm gonna try and redraw him on paper a few more times using your suggestions before I put it through PS again, probably post them here. I'm also still wondering if the way I went about going from paper to digital through PS was ludicrous or not.

Hey yall, my name is CandleGlow and I think I found home. I've been a brony for about a year now but was only using IRC servers to talk to other bronies. Lately things have been pretty dead and I haven't really used forums that much before so I thought a change of scenery would be good to keep things interesting. Hope to meet a bunch of new friends!

This is my first time drawing anything pony related, and I guess the... 6th? time I've ever seriously tried drawing something. I want to work at getting better with drawing so any criticism/suggestions would really help. I started out with a sketch: And then I scanned it and started tracing it in Photoshop CS6 with the pen tool, reshaping the proportions as I went: And finally colored it, no CM though got too lazy: I've had very little experience with Photoshop before other than for simple picture editing, and I have a lot of questions. Was there an easier way to make this? Should I have used Illustrator too? Is he too tall? Any tips would be appreciated.
