As one who grew up watching the original Sonic cartoon, and playing the games on Game Gear I'd have to say that I don't remember Sonic having a fan base like MLP.  Oh sure, there were lots of fans, but lets face it.  Never seemed as organized or diverse as the MLP fans.  I'm still a big Sonic fan (its ROBOTNIK, not Eggman!), but never seen anything as, well, crazy-big like the MLP fans base!  (except for sci-fi movie fans like Trekkies, etc).

Oh, and I know this will get me in trouble, but I still think Sonic is faster then R.D. (but that's for another thread, lol).

Greetings everyone!  (excuse me, i mean everyPony!)  nx9100 here.  Let me come out and say this first:  I don't watch the show.  Have seen a few episodes when roommates were watching, but that's about it.  I found the nowacking-voiced clip of vinyl shooting discord with the bass canon by accident one day, and thought "alright, that was awesome!".  That lead to searching who the character was, and other youtube vids, music, and fan stories.  I was taken in about how big Vinyl and Octavia are, for just being background characters.  So, while not a watcher of the show, I AM a fan of those two and their fan-made adventures!  Wub on!

(edit: oh, and HUGE fan of 'Fallout: Equestria'!  Best fanfic ever!)

I discovered Vinyl and Octy via youtube, and they are the best!  have some of the best fan-made art, music, and stories!
