  1. Shadowknight finally decided that it might seem rude if he took too long to come to the apartment. He didn't want to intrude on these two inventor ponies conversation though. He knew it had to be one or the other. Shadowknight walked forward, making sure his cloak still covered him. He spoke up to the two inventors. "Excuse me, is this Riley's apartment?" He asked. Though he already knew, he thought that asking that question sounded better then asking them to move out of the way.

  4. A hooded figure was walking down the street, this was Shadowknight. He needed a place to stay ever since he had lost his home in everfree forest. Even though he had mingled with ponies for a few years now, he still felt the need to wear his dark cloak with his hood pulled up. He had been living in a cave near Ponyville for quite a while and finally decided it might be a good idea to get a nicer residence. It was more for the reason that he wanted to socialize with other ponies. He knew that a cave probably wasn't the best place to invite friends, especially since most ponies didn't have darkvision. Shadowknight stopped a few feet away from two other ponies in front of the apartment that he needed to get into. He remained quiet and waited patiently. Some small wispy clouds of shadow flowed underneath his cloak. They weren't that noticeable unless one took a close enough look at them.
  5. Steelhide followed Dusk to the armory. "I generally prefer to fight with a shield. After all it can be used as an offensive device as well as defensive if one knows how to properly use it." Steelhide said with a chuckle. He grinned when he saw the armory and took a simple kite shield with some small nicks and scratches. When it came to unknown weapons and armor he preferred to pick ones that showed small signs of use. These small signs generally proved that the weapon or armor had been used in combat at some point and had probably protected their owners. Steelhide looked at Dusk. "This armory is very impressive." He stated. He didn't take any armor, he preferred his own even though it did have plenty marks of war on it. "What next?" He asked, standing at attention.
  6. Steelhide remained quiet, listening to Dusk. He contemplated what Dusk was telling him. He didn't really understand what the cards meant, but Dusk seemed to know what he was talking about. Steelhide did have experience at fighting during all times of day and night. The love on the battlefield card however had Steelhide more then a little confused. He started feeling like something big might happen in the future, but then again he was going out on a night patrol. Chances are there might be several big things happening. Steelhide responded to Dusk. "I understand Luna is my commander." He stood up with his chest out. "I will not fail her." Then Dusk laid out the weapons before Steelhide. Weapons weren't new to Steelhide, though he already had a weapon, it had been broken on the journey here when Steelhide had dealt with a very nasty timberwolf. He hadn't really expected to have been assigned to a task straight away when he had come so he had forgotten to get it repaired by a weaponsmith. He closely inspected each weapon carefully. He made a choice and took up the shortsword, nodding several times in satisfaction. "I choose the shortsword." Steelhide said to Dusk. He wondered if this was another test, you never could be too sure.
  7. "I hope I won't have to play poker, I have a terrible pokerface." Steelhide chuckles. He looked a bit doubtful when Dusk explained what the cards were for today though. He took a card anyway though. Steelhide thought the best way to learn about another pony was to see how they acted in battle or any other dangerous situation. Steelhide kept the card facedown. He was curious which card he had drawn and a part of him wanted to flip it over and look, but his discipline kept him in check. He was told not to look at it so he would not look. He did however wonder what this had to do with defending the kingdom. Surely their time would be better spent patrolling the roads in search of dangerous enemies who would harm any innocent ponyfolk.
  8. Steelhide looks warily at the cards, but takes a seat across from Dusk. He wasn't sure what cards had to do with going on night patrol, but he shrugged mentally, it wasn't his place to question. However, he could still be curious and wary. "What are these for?" Steelhide asked curiously.
  9. Steelhide was a bit nervous at the sudden teleportation. As soon as he saw the armory though the tension eased out of him. Here was something he knew a good deal about. He gave a quick lookover the different armor and he raised an eyebrow critically. He then shrugged and decided it wouldn't be his place to advise royalty on armor. He looked at Luna. "I shall not fail thee." He said earnestly. He then turned and looked at Dusk, nodding in salute to the fellow warrior. He respected others that knew how to fight and upheld the law. Generally speaking, Steelhide got along with just about any guard or warrior he came across. This was mainly due to the brothers-in-battle code generally respected among most warriors. Steelhide wasn't sure what to make of Dusk, but he wouldn't judge him and would follow any orders assigned to him by the princess. "Well met, Dusk. Let us save the night then, eh?" Steelhide said with a hint of humor in his tone.
  10. The two brothers entered Ponyville. Sunmane marveled at the buildings, while Shadowknight kept his head low. Shadowknight was getting more then a few curious glances from other ponies. "Can we go somewhere else, Sun?" Shadowknight asked his brother. Sunmane's attention snapped back to his brother, remembering his brother's condition with the sun itself. "Oh yea. Sorry." Sunmane said as he changed their direction, heading toward a nice shady tree near the center of Ponyville.
  11. Steelhide broke into a great smile and said "Twould be a great honor Mi'lady." He went to bow and accidentally kicked his helmet, sending it rolling across the floor. He winced slightly at the clumsy action, he wasn't usually this clumsy and he wondered how badly his nervousness must be showing. He then decided to try and distract the princess from his court blunder by saying. "Nopony shall be harmed in the everfree as long as they are under my protection." Though he said this as more of a distraction, he meant every word of it. He stretched out a hoof and pulled his accidentally kicked helmet back to him as he had said this.
  12. I don't believe in this black magic.... Okay maybe I do, but I don't like it.......Okay I like it, but I don't um...er.... o.o

  13. (Sure. : ) ) Steelhide rose and finally got a good look at Princess Luna. He was taken aback by her beauty and he grew even more nervous all of a sudden. He tried to hide it though, not wanting to break court etiquette. "I am a er." He began to say and then paused taking a breath and regaining his nerves. In a normal tone with a slight hint of nervousness in his voice he said. "Princess Luna, I humbly come before you this night to offer my aid to the kingdom of Equestria. I am a traveling knight and it would be an honor to serve you." Steelhide paused and then realized he forgot to introduce himself and to take off his helmet. He berated himself mentally and then continued. "My apologies, I er forgot to introduce myself. My name is Steelhide." As he finished he reached up and removed his helmet, placing it beside him.
  14. Would like to see more artwork of this character ^.^
  15. I like, not what I'd expect to be accepted in a slice of life MLP RP. But still, I like because its a gothic pony x3
  16. Steelhide strode forward with his chin held high. As soon as he neared the throne he stopped and gracefully bowed low, holding position. "My apologies for disturbing thee at this late hour, princess." Steelhide said in a humble tone, keeping his head respectfully low. He would keep his head down until Luna said he could rise, as court protocol demanded of him. In truth princess Luna was only the second royal family member he had ever met, so he did not quite have that much practice at royal courts. He was mainly following protocols that were drilled into him when he himself was a guard. He berated himself mentally though as he realized that he was still wearing his helmet. He resolved that as soon as he was allowed to rise, if he was allowed, he would take it off.
  17. Steelhide had finally arrived in Canterlot after weeks of travel through some far off desert region, he was still getting sand out of his boots. He had come to equestria due to all the rumors he heard of events that had unfolded during his absence. His knightly code bound him to go to equestria and offer himself to help defend equestria against any future events. Here he was at last though, walking through the gates and striding toward the castle late at night. He wore his helmet and nodded at the guards as he passed them. He had been halted several times, but after a few moments of discussion and the presenting of several documents, Steelhide was allowed into the castle. A guard went to inform one of the princesses of the arrival of Steelhide. Though he wasn't a noble Knight, he still had a small reputation for being a champion of the ponyfolk. He waited patiently outside the gate to the main throne room. He did however hope that he hadn't disturbed the princesses, but one of the guards had explained to him that they would usually be available for an audience, or at least one of them would be. Even so he was still quite worried, though his outward appearance wouldn't show it.
  18. Well I like a nice beautiful day, but I always prefer a chilly night. Just looking at the sky makes me wish I was a pegasus or alicorn so I could fly through the clouds and such lol. At nighttime, during the winter. I can imagine the flight being very breathtaking.
  19. One thing that has always... befuddled me is the attraction some bronies feel to ponies. Im not talking about wanting to give them hugs or something like that. Im talking about the physical attraction that some bronies feel toward ponies. Basically Im meaning... The cloppers? Is that the right term? I just want to know why? Why are some bronies physically attracted to ponies?
  20. Just declared war on daytime. FOR PRINCESS LUNA! :3

  21. I live in a countryside area. I prefer nighttime in the winter. WIth a thick blanket of snow. Complete and utter silence. The air is crisp and clear without any annoying insects to bother me. When its a full moon, by the great princesses of Equestria, just a gorgeous scene outside. Though have to be careful lol, the full moon and sun can blind you with the reflection off the snow XD Give me moonlight and give me snow!
  22. Im a Nightwalker as well lol. I also prefer Winter and Fall seasons. If I were in Equestria I'd probably be one of the few ponies that would stay up all night and sleep all day >.< -brohoofs Luna-
  23. Gems are like spare change while bits are like dollars. Thats my logic lol. So Rarity was actually tipping the bellhop anywhere from 1 penny to a dollar coin in our currency system XD. Or....... Ponies have an innate sense of how much each gem is worth. We're talking about cartoon ponies that can fly and use magic. Its not that odd to think that they could even have some sort of natural gem instincts. Like Dwarves or Gnomes from DnD. Perhaps it is even a class in the equestrian schools. Gemology, approximate values on gems. lol
