  1. Erun sheathed one of his swords before charging at Remun first, jumping over Remun's gaping jaws and landing on the beast's back. He grabbed a handful of fur and swung down, holding onto one side of Remun, keeping his body between Erun and Romulus. To get some extra leverage, Erun drove the blade in his other hand into Remun's side and gripped the hilt firmly. (Pretty epic picture I'm painting there. Hope it doesn't seem too OP/godmoddy >.< Basically hes riding side saddle on Remun without the saddle, trying to keep Remun's body between him and Romulus. Also, I catch onto more then my warrior does here, keep the surprises coming XD)
  2. "Ah you're worrying too much Twilight." Rainbow Dash said, turning so where she was flying upside down. She reclined as she did so and looked down at the group. "Besides, if what you're saying is true we're just going into some dusty old ruins and finding a magical rock. Now how hard does that sound?" Dash continued. She wondered how easy Daring Doo would think this mission would be. When Rainbow Dash heard Rarity's remark she groaned. "Oh come on, Rarity. We're going on an adventure here and all you can think about is a salon or spa? Think about it, that rock might look better then any gem in your shop." Dash then paused for a moment, wondering if this brand of encouragement might make Rarity want to keep that Voidstone one they got their hooves on it.
  3. Lust, envy, and Greed. Extreme probably on the lust (But that is probably just hormones XD)
  4. (So sorry I'm late, but no one PM'd me we were starting x.x) Rainbow Dash had been zoning out, fantasizing about how this mission might bring her even more fame. The famous Rainbow Dash, protector of equestria, seeker and finder of the void stone. She liked the sound of it. She was smiling at the thought and then realized the others had been talking and Twilight had even adressed her. In truth she had also been fantasizing about the rumor that the void stone granted wishes. She already knew what her wish would be. "Huh what, sorry. I was just thinking about that whole void stone thing." Dash said. "Come on you guys, quit being so scared. We'll get that stone and be back before sunset." Rainbow Dash was in rather high spirits, despite the dismal beginning of this adventure. It may have helped that she had been reading some Daring Do just as she was called on to this quest. Rainbow Dash had been walking along with the rest, but decided to fly a little bit above the group, maybe to get a better vantage point. "So what are we looking for, Twilight?" Dash asked as she peered around excitedly.
  5. "I'll take on the Wolves, seeing as you have handled Ashley so well." Erun said as he charged the two wolves, He'd work on Remus first considering he had already injured Remus's front paws. Maybe Romulus would accidentally harm Remus even more, given the two beasts were rather large. (Romulus and Remus, as in the the two brothers in which the story states Rome was founded by Romulus? lol)
  6. (Oiy, no controlling my warriors reactions! Thats gmodding comrade.) The jarl was impressed, but not by far. His warriors were muttering more impressed than their jarl. However, they still preferred their own weapons to that of the newcomers. "Well, this weapon seems to be very effective.... if your enemies are trees." The jarl chuckled goodnaturedly. "I'd be more impressed if I see you use this.... firespitter on a REAL dire wolf." The jarl began to grin. "What do you say Lieutenant? Are ye up to the challenge of facing a Volund Dire Wolf with that there firespitter?" The jarl challenged.
  7. "Wait what?" Erun was a bit confused for a few seconds before everything clicked. "So she is responsible for the dire wolf attack, but why would she cause the dire wolf attacks in the first place?" Erun asked. "Was she going to kill them afterward and claim glory and gold from their deaths?" Erun asked a bit disgusted at the thought.
  8. (Crap my bad. I went to go get my tea and forgot >.< Sorry Firehearted) The jarl followed the Lieutenant."Truth be told I am." The jarl said. If he could present the oberjarl a new weapon that could stop these dire wolf incursions, his village might prosper from some rewards. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "We did not encounter any griffons here, but they could have went in the direction of the wolven empire. If so then they may be lost already." The female pegasus said. "But we were tracking down those wolves that had attacked you and it seems we are drawing near. Perhaps you'd be interested in avenging your warrior's losses and join us on our hunt for those beasts?" The female warrior offered.
  9. "How in the fel, did I know this was going to happen." Erun said, shaking his head and laughing at the irony. "Well, we have the two mean monsters now. Unless Ashley there wants to try and tame them, I suggest we get to the part where I get a new dire wolf cloak." Erun stood ready, his back hurt from the impact with the tree, but there was no severe damage.
  10. "Dire wolves are scattered throughout Volund's lands. Thankfully due to Oberjarl Gunnar's efforts their numbers have been brought lower over the past two years. They travel in packs, largest we've seen has had over 50 strong, enough to take down the population of an entire city." The jarl said. "I've already lost one of my sons to those accursed beasts." The jarl then smirked. "I'm wearing the one that took my son." The jarl then listened as they spoke of some other weapon. "Demonstration of what exactly?" The jarl asked, his curiousity piqued. "I've seen a Dire wolf filled full o spears and he kept charging on as if they were pine needles."
  11. "Ah shite." Erun said as he was headbutted and sent flying backward into a tree. Erun grunted as his back hit the tree, but he got right back up. "So there are two of you ugly mutts. This just got interesting." Erun said with a smirk. He charged back at Remun and attempted to slide underneath him, slashing at both of his front paws with both of his blades.
  12. The Jarl laughed at the Lieutenants attitude. The lieutenant had passed the Jarl's test and instantly the jarl warmed up to Sharp. Then the lieutenant asked about the Jarl's cloak. The jarl grew a bit more serious on this note. "This..." He said, holding up the cloak. "Is the hide of a great Dire Wolf. Large wolves that can grow anywhere from 7 feet tall to 14 feet on all fours." The jarl explained. "Teeth as sharp as swords, claws that could flay the skin from your bones, and a temperment that fire would have a hard time matching." The jarl didn't exaggerate. Dire Wolves were some of the deadliest and meanest creatures in Volund. A single grown Dire Wolf could kill five seasoned warriors, but due to the Volunder's tactics and shield walls, the Dire Wolves size and temperment weren't as effective.
  13. Erun was ready and jumped backwards just out of range as the beast pounced toward him. The jaws of Remun snapped shut right in front of Erun's face. "Ha! I knew you were ugly, just not THIS Ugly!" Erun taunted as he ran to the side and slashed at the right side of Remun's face.
  14. Erun sighed and stepped out into the open in front of the trees. He puffed out his chest and then let out a challenging howl. "Owwwwwwwwwwwwww!" He then proceeded to shout. "Come out you ugly mutt. Let me show you what a REAL wolf looks like! FACE ME REMUN!" Erun hoped that his taunts and challenges would draw the beast out, and perhaps even enrage him.
  15. (Hey, If Erun heard you talking like that He'd be offended XD) Erun gave Ashley a look as if to say 'I'm not a dog you know.' Erun sniffed the air quietly and caught wind of Remun. He also thought he heard faint breathing echoing fromm the trees. "I think he is in there, maybe asleep." Erun said quietly to Ashley. He kept his eyes on the trees.
  16. Erun paused for a second and looked back at the chapel. He shook his head. "Alright, but I hope this doesn't end up where we both are about to be mauled and that Pandaren shows up at the last second to save the day." Erun said, though he was pretty certain that was going to happen. Erun followed Ashley, with his swords drawn and at his sides. He carefully watched where he stepped to keep as silent as possible. (Sure sure, I understand)
  17. (Think of it viking hall. Basically home of the Jarl. Eat, sleep, drink, celebratory occassions, throne room. Pretty much serves all purposes for the Jarl lol. Very big hall. They do speak equestrian, but it is a bit accented.) The jarl was somewhat impressed by the discipline of the Ponssians and his eye didn't miss the strange weapons that they carried. The jarl lead the lieutenant to the grand hall where he had some slaves bring food and drink. When the jarl was offered some Ponssian goods the jarl respectfully declined. He still didn't trust the Ponssians. "I... have a weak stomach when it comes to some foreign food. Also, what can replace good Volund Ale?" The jarl asked with a hearty laugh as he offered a large mug to the Lieutenant. This was actually a test for the Lieutenant. The jarl wanted to see how strong this lieutenant sharp was. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Dire wolf hunters arrived at the scene moments later. They saw foreigners on their land and from the looks of it they had just been attacked. The Dire Wolf hunters were rather large ponies and one of them stepped forward, a female pegasus. "Seems our prey found prey." She said aloud. She took off her helmet and her blonde mane came free from it. It was braided in several spots. "What are you doing in the lands of Volund?" She asked the group, unafraid of the weapons they were aiming at her and her fellow hunters.
  18. (Very specific with her armor, aren't you? XD) "He's some pandaren monk I met at the Hero's board. He wanted to help out so we grouped up." Erun said "I haven't actually seen him fight, but he claims he can." Erun then shrugged. He raised an eyebrow at Ashley's choice of gear, but then shrugged. If he were a ranger, he probably would've chosen chainmail or something along those lines. Then again, he was thinking from a warrior's perspective.
  19. @VulpineTaco I think Steel meant a WoW RP experience lol. All my PvE/PvP experiences were great and I loved the feel of teamwork during Raids, Dungeons, BG's, and Arenas (Gods above how I miss the arenas. 2v2 1 team standing.Oh the bloodlust.)
  20. You could start small. 1v1 with a friend. Don't have to start with 5+ people, start small Hey Steel, Did you want to invite em to our RP?
  21. Erun chuckled a bit as she said this. "If thats how you'd like it, but don't expect me to act like your dogs there." Erun said with a grin. "So I take it we will be heading out shortly then?" Erun assumed. "If so, then I believe I will have to collect my friend from the chapel. He went to go talk to the girl. I didn't think it was a good idea if I had gone to talk to her." Erun wasn't sure what to make of this woman, but he did think she had spirit and that she really wanted to hunt down this wolf.
  22. @Lordav The jarl stepped forward and his eyes were narrowed. He inspected the newcomers and their 'gift'. The jarl and some of his warriors had been raiding more then a few times, they knew what was valuable and what could be discarded. The jarl wasn't sure if the gift was meaningful and that these newcomers didn't know that what they carried was barely worth anything, or if this was an insult. The rest of the Volund warriors didn't seem too impressed either. The jarl walks up to the Lieutenant and looks at him, a little bit down at the lieutenant due to the jarl's height. "Usually when one offers peace, they don't bring their warriors along." The jarl stated bluntly, scowling a bit at the soldiers present. "I am Jarl Kuulthek, one of many under the command of oberjarl Gunnar. You stand on Volund sand and soil. If peace is your intent, then I welcome you to my hall, though I doubt your claims of prosperity. You can keep your gift though, we already have what we need." The jarl said, he bowed his head slightly to the lieutenant to show he didn't mean disrespect.. He still wasn't sure if he was being offered insult by this gift or not. He was also suspicious of these newcomers, he didn't quite trust their 'gifts'. The jarl turned toward his warriors and spoke. "You heard what these outsiders claim to be here for. For now, show them some Winter hospitality unless they show a different face." The jarl turned back to face the lieutenant. "Follow and we can discuss these.... peacetalks in a more comfortable place." The jarl said as he turned and lead the way to his grand hall. @Firehearted A group of hungry dire wolves lay nearby, searching for prey. They had recently been chased off by a group of Volund hunters and ironically their course intercepted with that of the rescue party searching for their lost comrades. Not far behind this pack of dire wolves, the same Volund hunters that had chased them off, now tracked them. They wished to finish the job that they had started. They knew dire wolves held a grudge and if this pack were left alive they would return in larger numbers.
  23. @Lordav One of the coastal towns of Volund (Spell it right! XD) It was early in the morning when the three frigates were spotted on the horizon. An old Icebreaker pony had spotted them as he had set out to break the ice that was encrusting the docks of the village. He immediately went to his son which in turn reported the find to the jarl of the village. The jarl gathered his small force of 20 odd warriors, not including himself. He was an earth pony and he waited with his warriors on the beach, weapons in hand and prepared for an attack. They were so used to raids from dire wolves that they always treated every new arrival with great suspicion, especially in the number that these intruders were coming in. The jarl knew they were outnumbered, but if this was going to end in a fight, he and his warriors would fight to the last while the rest of the village would escape. Only if it came to bloodshed though. "Do not attack unless I give the word." The jarl stated to his warriors. He himself was standing in front of them, eyeing the approaching rowboats with suspicion. His grey dire wolf cloak fluttered in the early morning sea breeze.
  24. Erun laughed. "I've been just about everywhere. I go wherever I find trouble, Coincidentally Northrend still has a lot of trouble, but the Argent Dawn seems to have the scourge under wraps. No pun intended." Erun said, thinking that most of the undead had some sort of wrappings on their bodies. "Anyhow, I take it you want to come with and make sure we put this beast down?" Erun asked.
  25. "Agile, and has a very thick hide." Erun pondered this for a moment. "Sounds like an average Northrend dire wolf to me, but I doubt that is what we are dealing with here. Trust me, bears down here are mean, but they don't compare to some of the dire wolves I've seen up north." Erun looked at the dogs and then back at Blank. "How about your dogs, did they seem to have any effect on the beast?"
