Well there is an easy way to solve the issue of too many Alicorn OCs if that is really a concern. 1. Limit 1 Alicorn OC per player 2. Have a total cap of Alicorn OCs for the RP (Maybe a total of 5 Alicorn OCs are allowed in a RP but no more then that or something) 3. Combine 1 and 2 together. So one person doesn't end up having like 5 alicorn OCs and no one else gets to RP their Alicorn OC

No I didn't mean this against you Troblems, Im speaking in General terms. There are rarely any RPs in the regular section that even allow Alicorn OC's. I haven't really considered PMing GMs about it though. Thank you for the input Troblems : ) Not trying to be sarcastic but I feel like I come across as such x.x so er sorry.

Well at least I am getting some reasons. Most people just outright reject without bringing up any logical points. I thank those of you on both sides of the debate for your input. I do disagree with taking an OP race and making it less OP as being confusing. I will bring up the game Fable as an example which is all about good and evil, and the three main styles of combat. At the beginning, your character usually starts out as a runt that has a hard time killing even a beetle. Even when you get more powerful you generally go under one category out of the 3 fighting styles. You may have skills at the others, but you generally have a primary focus in 1 of the three. I could say the same for Alicorns. I doubt Celestia and Luna really started out being all powerful and godly, they had centuries to practice their magic and many different events have happened in their pasts. Its not really that confusing to think an OP race can start off less OP. I do admit it is rather show-offy to have an alicorn in a RP. And I will admit the stand outish factor of having an alicorn can be a threat to a RP I disagree that having flight and magic is OP though. Technically by having magic, as I've stated before you can teleport places which really takes away the need for wings. The wings are more a symbol if anything. Besides everypony just trots everywhere anyway lol. My position has been changed a bit on the matter. I still favor Alicorn OCs at least being given a chance though. The main reason I feel this way, as I will relay again, is the sight of poorly made OCs being accepted. Im not master OC crafter, but I put time and effort into every one of my creations. I sometimes plot personalities and stories for days (Often running into blocks which I can't think of anything for a while), but I put a lot of time into my characters. I write paragraphs of story for my characters going into detail of their lives and give people the feel of my character. Then I see others who barely write 7 sentences with their personality and history combined. They get accepted, but I don't just because I have an alicorn. It is very infuriating to go through such an ordeal. Now I never expect any character of mine to be accepted on the first lookover, I'd take it as an insult if they were. But no one tells me good reasons why they were rejected, or how to change the character to where it could be acceptable. I have had great GMs that have worked with me on many many characters to change and improve them. I really thank you all who have provided some great opposing points. No sarcasm, I really mean it : ) I still wish I could RP my Alicorn OC though. Le sigh, It must not be meant to be. I think I said that right. I think Im going to stay out of this debate for a while and see if anyone else makes even more points either For Alicorn OCs or Opposed Alicorn OCs.

I would also like to point out. magic itself is technically OP, so wouldn't that mean Unicorns are OP too. With a swish of their horns they can move rocks 20x their weight or create magical wings or a disk to float. Technically they'd be able to fly, use magic, and have earth pony strength. The only difference between an alicorn and unicorn is that alicorns have wings, but they wouldn't even really need them. The wings are more symbolic then anything since most alicorns and unicorns can teleport with magic which is faster and probably safer then flying. -takes off lawyer glasses- I rest my case.

Again, they don't have to be. I will bring my OC as an example. He has magic, but he doesn't know how to use and it is fairly weak under normal circumstances. He can fly pretty well and he can fight, but I wouldn't say he has earth pony strength. To top it all off his greatess weakness is light itself. If someone were to shine a flashlight on him it would drain him physically, rendering him rather weak and defenseless. Just because an alicorn is "OP" Doesn't mean it can't be balanced out by weaknesses and flaws. Wouldn't a Superhero be considered OP to a human, but yet they have flaws and weaknesses which balance them out.

Now I've RP'd a lot in many other fandoms. I noticed in the brony RP fandom, Alicorn OC's always get bashed/shunned etc. I can understand that some people think they are too OP, but not all of OC alicorns are OP. People automatically go "No Alicorn OC's" as a rule in their RPs and I respect their rights to make their rules. However, I have seen perfectly fine Alicorn OCs (I may be a bit biased because i have 1 and only 1 Alicorn OC) that are not OP, have great RP histories, and can fit perfectly fine with canon and otherwise. They have been rejected just because they were alicorns to begin with. Then I see shoddy Pegasi, Unicorn, Earth pony OC's where someone just half-heartedly put work into, get accepted. I don't see the fairness in it. Some people would rather accept at poorly made OC, then a very well thought out, developed and moderated OC just because it is an Alicorn. I think Alicorn OC's should at least be given a chance before they are bashed into the ground. Also, to all those that think only royals can be Alicorns, I don't recall anywhere that it is specifically stated in words that only Royals can be alicorns. In my opinion there are many ways an Alicorn can be made. Example 1: Pegasus exposed to large amounts of magic. Example 2: A crossbreed between a pegasus and a unicorn (Basically what an Alicorn is) Example 3: Earth pony or pegasus being given magical powers by a unicorn. I also bring up the example of rarity in the episode where she has those butterfly wings. Temporarily she was indeed an Alicorn. A permanent version of that spell = Alicorn. I bet if I made a magical Pegasus without a horn, it would be accepted : P or a Unicorn that could cast a spell that gave it wings, it probably would be accepted too. Just because it isn't an Alicorn. Now respond, I have ranted enough. It just becomes infuriating seeing poorly made characters get accepted when I feel like I've put in hours of work into my character and that others have only spent 5 minutes on theirs. It doesn't seem fair and it is a bit pony-racist I guess you could say. Basically people are not accepting one type of pony because of their physical appearance. Okay now enough ranting, again x.x Respond with your own personal opinions, I won't bash you if you don't agree with me, I just want to know a better reason then just the classical "Oh its an Alicorn", or "Oh its way too OP no matter what you do"

Sombra basically stopped the crystal empire from being Liberated by making it vanish. From my understanding he basically trapped it in a sort of bubble outside of time itself. So no one could go and free the crystal ponies.

I'm sorry to Chrysalis fans but I don't think she is a good villain. Her Hubris is too great and will defeat her many times over. However if she didn't have all that hubris she probably wouldn't be a villain in the first place. So her greatest weakness in a way is the very thing that makes her evil, in my opinion anyway lol. Again, King Sombra for me. Embodiment of ultimate evil. I think the main reason why Discord is so well liked is because he has been the villain that has been shown THE MOST. I mean hes in over 10+ episodes. All the other villains get 1 or 2 if they are lucky. Don't get to see many backstories and personality development on other villains as much. Honestly if the other villains had as much air time as Discord, the poll might be a whole lot closer lol

I want to see Celestia in Skyrim XD either replacing the dragon model or all done up like the dovakihn. When Celestia goes to the greybeards she'll go. "I remember when I used to be your age." Here is my version on what happened: A long time ago in China, a young Rarity was born. Her village was attacked by a crane leading an army of wolves and giant gorillas. Her mother escaped and hid her in a cart that was delivered to a noodle shop. She was adopted by a duck who ran the noodle shop. Over the years she became obsessed with fashion and fighting like a Shaolin Pony. It wasn't until later that she was revealed to be the great dragon warrior! Then her martial arts skills came to her naturally, she defeated all evil, and then decided to go into the fiercely competitive field of Fashion!

I agree, Fashion is a very aggressive business lol. Also she did get kidnapped by Diamond Dogs, you'd think she would've unleashed some Tae Kwon Hoof on them. Then again she does have the Nag defense lol.

I was interested on who the brony fandom thought was the most maniacal, evil, backstabbing, villain. So I made this poll though there are probably several others just like it. Make your choice and please explain why you think that villain was the best. Keep the arguments/discussions clean please. Try and make good points too, I personally think Sombra was the best. For one, Sombra had ruled an empire and enslaved all the ponies in it. That in itself is a great evil feat. Even his weakened form had a great amount of power and he nearly won back his evil throne. I don't think he got enough air time though. He would've made a much better villain if he spanned across several episodes, in my opinion. I mean, I think he would have a whole lot more evil powers up his metaphorical sleeves. Also he looked the coolest out of all the villains, again my opinion. He was the definition of evil warlord in appearance.
