  1. "What is the size of this dire wolf and anything else you noticed about him? Anything unnatural?" Erun asked. "And what makes you think he won't be afraid of arrows when he comes back?" Erun was processing the information in his head. He was formulating a plan of perhaps using a sheep as bait and springing an ambush on the wolf, perhaps he'd attack from the side where the wolf was injured. However, if this wolf did possess any unnatural abilities his plan might would need some tweaking. Erun started stroking his chin, though his beard was short in his worgen and human form he did find that it did help him think when he stroked it.
  2. "Sorry to intrude, but I assume your Lady Blank, the one who injured that dire wolf that is causing so much trouble out here." Erun continued. "Me and a companion of mine plan on going after that dire wolf. Would you be willing to give me any information about the wolf?" Erun asked. He was very straightforward, always getting to the point and leaving the pleasantries aside. He glanced at the dogs, he wasn't really deterred by them in the least. (Wasn't sure if you wanted me to RP as the girl or not o.o)
  3. Erun looked at Wei. "You check with the girl. I don't think she'd like the sight of another wolf." Erun said, meaning his worgen form. "I'll go talk to this Lady Blank about what to expect of this beast. Maybe she'd want to come along and take this beast out." Erun turned to the guard. "Thank you for the information. Keep up the good work." Erun saluted the guard and then went around back to go talk to Lady Blank.
  4. Erun glanced at Wei and then looked back at the guard. "Sounds like the dire wolf should be easy pickings then. Who is this Lady Ashley Blank?" Erun asked. He wondered where and how the beast was wounded. By poison, hamstrung, or some other mean. This might be useful information when planning how to finish off the creature, if it indeed needed to be finished off.
  5. Erun stood up and saluted the guard. "Message board in stormwind said you all needed some help with a Dire wolf problem. Me and my companion are here to help fix the problem." Erun said, getting straight to the point. "The dire wolf been causing more trouble?"
  6. "Interesting choice of mount. Well, I know the way. Keep up." Erun said as he dropped to all fours. "Oh, and my name is Erun, Erun Wolfheart." Erun said as he took off running on all fours, heading toward Northshire. It wasn't a long way and Erun enjoyed every chance he got when he could run wild, especially through forest regions. He credited this to his worgen form.
  7. Erun looked at Wei Yu blankly. "So I take it that means yes you can fight." Erun says, completely ignoring the metaphor the pandaren was trying to explain. Erun was a simple worgen, he preferred to act in the moment and whatever his heart said was right. "Do you have a mount or some sort of fast riding animal?" Erun asked, tilting his head.
  8. Erun handed the pandaren the piece of paper. "Eh I maybe could do with some help, but how experienced are you in combat and have you ever hunted dire wolves before?" Erun asked, tilting his head to one side, examining the pandaren. Erun himself had dealt with quite a few dire wolves and knew they were dangerous enemies and he didn't want to take the pandaren with if he was totally inexperienced. Erun didn't think the pandaren was an inexperienced fighter, but one could never be too sure. He could just be a trainee or something.
  9. Erun chuckles, hearing the pandaren. "I know, funny, isn't it? I remember when more serious quests were on these boards." Erun said as he looked over one. "Hmmm.... this looks promising." He said, looking at one of the quests. He glanced at the pandaren, trying to assess the pandaren's proffession. He didn't want to be racist and assume the pandaren was a monk, but appearances stated otherwise.
  10. "So, know of any work that needs doing?" Erun asked the tavernkeeper. "Guessin you mean the hero kinda work, right?" The tavernkeeper asked rhetorically. "Well, you could try that board they got there in the Trade District. They put up some new bounties and such today as I walked by." "Thanks." Erun said as he stood up, he put a few silvers on the counter. "Keep the extra, I like this place and the staff." Erun said as he winked at the barmaid who blushed a bit. The tavernkeeper smiled. "Good luck to ya sir." The tavernkeeper said. Erun was already gone. He arrived in the trade district a few moments later and was already scouring the hero's board. "Hmmm... Why would someone post up a quest for a cure for toe fungus?" He asked out loud to no one in particular.
  11. (Read that with morgan freeman's voice in my head XD) Erun Wolfheart was sitting back in the Pig and Thistle inn in Stormwind City. He found that every now and then one had to enjoy the simple pleasures of life. In this case, it was a nice mug of stout dwarven ale. He received some strange looks, especially from the barmaid because of his wolfish appearance. He didn't care too much though, he had embraced the worgen and he really liked his drink. He did get a smile from the barmaid though when he overtipped her a bit and let her keep the extra.
  12. Counter finally looked at the clock and paused. He frowned and then realized "AHHHH! IM LATE! AGAIN!" He shouted. The librarian hushed him. "Sorry." He said quietly as he packed his book and game away. He then proceeded to make a mad dash for his classroom. He arrived in a few moments, he opened the door and ran in. "IM HERE!" He shouted as he tripped and skidded across the floor, hitting the back wall face first. "Argh......" He groaned.
  13. Borders of Konyushnia Raiders.... The twenty-three ponies attacked the undefended border town. Some of the inhabitants had fought back, but the majority were subdued. Those that did fight were summarily killed by the experienced Volund raiders. They made off with a rather large amount of food and water and set several of the village's buildings on fire. 20% of the survivors of the raid were taken as slaves. The rest of the population was released as the raiders left in their air longship for Volund. Attack on Konyushnia: Konyushnian Small Village, Undefended Raiders: Suffering from very light injuries, barely scratches. Villagers: 10% resisted and killed, 20% taken as slaves, 70% survived Village: Sacked, 45% of village burned to the ground. Very small food resource gain for Volund, Very small food resource loss for Konyushnia.
  14. (Totally confused and lost....) Counterstrike was in the library playing on his gaming device on mute. He was using a book as cover so nopony could see what he was actually doing. His tongue stuck out the side of his mouth as he concentrated on the device and his eyes darted to different parts of the screen. To any casual observer it looked like he was enthusiastically reading a book.
  15. "Hey! Where are you going? I'm sorry, you just sort of startled me!" Counter said as he quickly put away his gaming device and followed Midnight. He hadn't meant to be mean, he was just very surprised by Midnight's sudden appearance. He arrived at the scene and saw her standing up for somepony that was being bullied. It made him feel worse about sort of snapping at her. "Yeah, Leave him alone!" Counter shouted out. He didn't like bullies either and he was impressed by Midnight's bravery. He also thought that by standing together the bully would be intimidated and back off.
  16. "Yeesh! By all the ponies in the world, I hate stray shots!" Counterstrike said, continuing his rant about the unfairness of his 8-bit game. It was Galaga and Counterstrike had a very high score, but it wasn't high enough by Counterstrike's standards. After he calmed down a bit with some self ranting he felt a presence behind him and his eyes widened slightly. His head didn't move but his eyes shifted and he saw a form in his peripheral vision. "AHHH!" He shouted and sprawled to the side, looking at the form. "WHAT ARE YOU DOING SNEAKING UP ON ME LIKE THAT?!?!" He said frantically.
  17. Shayla eyed the group and smirked inwardly. She had seen what she guessed to be the leader, assessing their numbers and found them small. Her face showed no sign of fear or worry though. She was a bit surprised at the greeting. "The honor is ours. What brings you to Oberjarl Gunnar's lands, Ambassador of the Wolven Empire?" Shayla asked, getting straight to the point. She wondered if any of the wolves here were related to the dire wolves that her nation was at war with. These wolves seemed different from the bloodthirsty dire wolf savages she had fought, but she could be wrong. Either way she wouldn't hide her cloak, it was a symbol of pride and honor for her people. She wouldn't remove it even if it did antagonize these wolves. Again she smirked inwardly at the thought of adding a few more wolf pelts to her collection of cloaks and trophies. Shayla drew her soldiers to a halt about 25 feet away from Seth, not wishing to draw any closer in case these Wolves did decide to attack. She waited for an answer. ----------------------------------------------------- A small air longship glided towards the borders of Konyushnia. Volund raiders were preparing to do what they had to do to secure the future of their nation. The lesser jarl that was leading this raid was named Brandr, a young earth pony seeking to make a name for himself to the oberjarl. If this raid were successful enough he might even move up in recognition and respect, but first he had to succeed in this light raid. A small village was seen ahead and the air longship was settled down behind the cover of some trees. Six ponies were left to guard the air longship. Twenty-three desperate and experienced warrior ponies set off to raid the Konyushnia village. They approached the borders of this small settlement.
  18. Counterstrike was still playing his game, completely oblivious to the outside world as he stared at the 8 bit screen. All of a sudden he shouted "OH COME ON! THATS UNFAIR!" Counterstrike sighed with exasperation as he put down his game. "I was THAT close to finishing the level!" He muttered to himself a bit frustrated. Of course he wasn't talking to anypony, he didn't really have friends to talk with, but it still didn't stop him from talking to himself.
  19. Steelhide cursed inwardly as he was so easily defeated, but then he felt the light kiss on his forehead and his eyes widened. The darkness faded and Luna was gone. Steelhide felt a strange feeling inside. It took him a few moments before he stood up and a small card fell out of his armor. He picked it up and looked at it and smiled, before tucking it in a safer spot. He turned his head back and forth, looking for any sign of Luna other than the card. "Princess?" He called out, he was unsure if they were still sparring or not, he couldn't be too sure with her.
  20. Counterstrike was sitting underneath a tree with his back resting against a tree. He held in his hooves a small gaming device and was furiously pressing buttons as he played a game. Laser noises and such could be heard coming from the device. Counterstrike's eyes were wide, bloodshot, and focused on the game. "Down to my last life.....Gotta make this count!" He said to himself as he continued to furiously press buttons. "Come on.... COME ON! Extra life, Where are you?" He asked to nopony in particular.
  21. The scout and Gunnar's housecarl Shayla had made good time as they spotted the wolven envoy from afar. "There they are, Housecarl." The scout said as the rest of the unit caught up. There were three pegasi, four earth ponies, and one other unicorn, that was excluding the scout and Shayla. "What is our plan, Housecarl?" The scout asked. "We will approach them, but we shouldn't throw out caution." Shayla said, she turned to the troop and barked a few orders. Two of the pegasi took off into the clouds above, taking cover and hiding above. Two of the earth ponies and the unicorn went ahead and hid in the snow, the unicorn provided a small snow flurry which added to the camoflauge. Shayla had explicitly ordered that none of them were to act unless she gave a very specific signal. Shayla looked at the scout, the other remaining pegasus, and the other two earth ponies who were all clad in armor. "Let us meet them then. Remember, you lot keep looking tough, even though I know you all are milkdrinkers." The group chuckled and Shayla smirked before getting serious again. "Let me do the talking. If any of you jump then I'll thrash your hides myself. Understood?" "Yes, housecarl!" The group replied. "Thats what I like to hear, boys. Now follow me!" Shayla said as she turned, her dire wolf cloak flowing behind her as she went to meet the Wolven Envoy.
  22. Volund The Grand Hall King Gunnar was sitting upon his throne and was reviewing some reports from his raiders. Luck had been with them as the light raids had yielded enough food to support the growing nation. He yearned to be out and aiding his people, but he knew the best place for him was here at home where he could manage the raiders and make sure they attacked appropriate targets and were not ambushed. To help ensure that ambushes were minimumm, King Gunnar had set up a small scout network that relayed information on some troop movements near the borders of Volund. King Gunnar was just debating where to strike next when the main doors to the grand hall were opened. Gunnar looked up and saw a pegasus scout, striding toward his king and then kneeling before him. "Oberjarl, I come with news of wolf movements near our borders." He said. "Rise, shieldbrother. You must be more clear, are they regular wolves or are the dire wolves forming?" Gunnar asked, rising and walking over to his scout to speak with him. "From what I've seen they were emissaries from the Wolven Empire, high king." The scout said as he rose and looked his king in the eyes. "Hmmm... Grab some food and some cider, you've done well, shieldbrother." Gunnar said, nodding at the scout and then smiling. "Thank you, oberjarl." The scout said, smiling back at his king and taking a seat by one of the tables in the grand hall, feasting on the spoils of the raiders. "I wonder what they could want...." Gunnar said to himself. He then turned to one of his housecarls, a female unicorn. "Go and gather some of the guardsponies and escort this... procession to me." Gunnar then turned back to the scout. "Scout, would you be willing to show my housecarl here the way?" The scout wiped his mouth and nodded, with a full mouth he said. "Itsh would been mine honor!" He said as he sprang up to his hooves and looked at the unicorn. "It shall be done, Oberjarl." The unicorn said, saluting her king and then heading out to gather some guardsponies. The scout followed behind and the two began talking. Gunnar moved back to his throne and sat down to review some of the raider reports.
  23. Thing is I could still play WoW before those patches. Also, I don't have any other options. unless I pay $49,000 dollars for a company to run a wire out to my location, I'm screwed. At least until I can move.
  24. Could be the fact I run on dial-up and don't have any other options for internet right now. Company that supposed to provide wifi to my area isn't providing their service despite a contract they have that states they have to.
