I'm such a boring person lmao.

Same here. I feel like no matter what I do, I cannot keep people interested in conversations anymore.

Anyway, with that said, I'm thinking of what I should do with my growing video game backlog and what needs to be taken care of first.

  2. The game with the worst AI I've experienced is one from a lesser-known video game: your AI partner in the Uncanny X-Men on the NES. Not only does it wander around aimlessly, it will repeatedly attack anything, even if no enemies are present. Giving it a ranged character is just asking for trouble because you will hear the attack sound every second. Rarely does it actually do anything, such as attack other enemies. Furthermore, you're required to take the AI partner. Thankfully, you can off the AI partner and get things done.

Another game with really bad AI is Grand Theft Auto III. In one mid-game mission, you're supposed to have your ally plant bombs on a boat. However, he tends to run headfirst into enemy fire. Thankfully you don't have to pay him on subsequent mission failures, which is very nice because that mission is tough. The AI will also shoot point blank into walls and barricades because you're near their direction. This allows you to either take them out with grenades, sniper rifle rounds or rockets.

  3. While several people said EA, Activision and Ubisoft (the latter two esp. with their toxic workplace culture), which I definitely agree with, I'll throw in another one as well: Take-Two Interactive and its subsidiaries. They're greedy and have been milking GTA5/GTA Online until the cows come home. They also released the definitive cash grab of the GTA Trilogy last November that introduced hundreds of glitches that didn't exist in the original games. The $60 USD price tag is not worth it either, when it added nothing to the table except minimal quality of life stuff and questionable graphics updates. If this is your way to get back at DMCAing modders for alleged copyright infringement, then congratulations, you've turned your fans against you.

Another reason why they're greedy: Just look at how they made NBA 2K20 like a literal casino game. Pokémon can't have gambling anymore due to stricter gambling restrictions in European countries, but T2/2K can due to a loophole.

  4. As much as Mega Man X7 was a bad game, I can appreciate what things it did right. Such as giving Axl character development (thank god he's better in X8), and having upgrades go back to X1-X4's style instead of X5-X6's collect all pieces to use that armor.

  5. Which do you think is the best and worst video game remake or remaster? I don't remember if there was made a thread like this or not on here, but here goes:

Best - Super Mario All-Stars. The fact it added a save feature to several of the games that needed it, updated the graphics and remixed the music to 16-bit always wants me to come back for more. While it does have a bit of issues, like brick physics not being 100% accurate, it is what I'd call one of the best remakes out there.

Honorable mentions: Metroid Zero Mission; Pokémon FR/LG, HGSS, ORAS; Halo: The Master Chief Collection (PC)

Worst - Secret of Mana. How do you go wrong with remaking a beloved SNES classic? By having an English voice cast that was criticized for being polarizing, introducing game-breaking bugs, and remixing music that honestly didn't needed to be remixed in the first place. There's probably more issues, but those are the big issues with them. Just stick with the original and find a couple QoL ROM hacks if you can.

Dishonorable mentions: GTA Trilogy: The "Definitive" Edition (good thing I dodged a bullet with this one); Realm of Shamanock DX (I'm probably the only one who played it, but it's a Zelda Classic/ZC game that makes things worse to an already shoddy quest/game); Silent Hill HD Collection (didn't even have the first game, and introduced bugs/glitches/errors that weren't in the original Silent Hill 2 or 3)
