"Now Now, let's all calm down. It seems everyone is fine other than possibly this Disruptis fella. I'l go take a look from the air and see if I can spot some trace of him. If he isn't nearby, he probably walked away from it. I'll be back in a moment."

Dexxy took the skies and circled over a more than sufficient area. He saw no traces of anypony other than his own hoofprints and those of the filly.

"Disruptis," Dexxy called to no answer.

Seeing no reason to continue the search, Dexxy returned to the group.

"It looks like he left. I don't see any trace of him, not even hoofprints. He must have flown or covered his tracks."

Dexxy was a bit concerned about such a little filly living alone, but that was another matter. For now, he was more interested in ensuring the town didn't lose someone on his very first day.

"Were there only three ponies involved?. Good to see the two we've found are okay. The third one must be around here somewhere. I hope they're okay too. Any idea about the third one?"

Well, I wanted a pegasus, and pegasi tend to have coat colors you can find in the sky, so that limited his colors. I think white coated ponies are a bit overdone and I wanted a color that was easy to match a manecolor to without it looking weird. I chose grey because I like Derpy, but I darkened it a bit to make it a bit more masculine. 

The mane and tail color are a bit like my own hair. I took my brown hair that has a tinge of red and just ramped it up to 11 because I like red hair. *Insert Tenth Doctor reference here* The green eyes compliment the red hair well. 

!) Having never interacted he doesn't have much of an opinion and generally trusts the royals to take care of the problems if they arrise.

2) He wasn't in Canterlot at the time, so he didn't have any interactions with them. His family is in Dodge, so he hasn't suffered from their attacks. He would be highly suspicious of one, and he would have to be a reformed changeling/

3. Celestia. She has plenty of experience with leadership.

4. He's probably delusional, but weirder things have happened.

"Okay,lead the way."

Dexxy followed the filly over the detonation site and off towards the others. His pack jingled and jangled with all the equipment and personal affects he had brought with him to settle in. It was one of the few times Dexxy regretted being so prepared. Flying with saddlebags made almost no difference, but running bounced them around a bit. It wasn't going to deter him though and he pushed on.

"How does a filly get into something dangerous like explosives? What do the ponies that look after you think of this?"

As he asked the question, two figures came into view of the two galloping ponies.

"My name is Dexterous Wings. I'm the new search and rescue spotter in the area. I saw the explosion and was worried somepony might be hurt. Your eyes seem to be reacting properly, and you seem to be okay. Is there anypony else I should check on around here or are you the only one?"

The filly seemed rather excitable, but otherwise she seemed fine. There were a couple light scrapes, but nothing that needed immediate attention. Hopefully if there were other ponies here they would be in as good a shape.

Also, why was such a young filly playing around with explosives?

"Search and Rescue, are you okay Miss?"

"That was quite the explosion."

Dexxy pulled out a flashlight from his saddle bag and shined it at the filly.

"Do you feel sick to your stomach or have a headache?"

Dexterous looked from side to side for other ponies.

It makes a heck of a lot more sense and we won't have the problems that crop up converting between everyday units and scientific ones like that one probe suffered.

"That's a dangerous hobby."

Dexxy took off into the sky and flew towards the smoke. Slowly coasting over the town he located the smoke source and landed nearby. Putting his goggles back on he looked around for ponies.

"Anypony hurt?" He called out.

"Why don't you look to the east. I'll look to the west."

I am currently doing a Discorse Community Research Paper, and decided to look into the "bronie" community. I would like to ask you; As members of this AWESOME group or friends, some questions that will help me with this paper. I would like to obtain an A on this paper, and need your help. I could obtain this info via online. But perfer to get your honest imputs rather than just go online and be vague.

 

Question 1) What/Who is a Bronie? How do you classify yourself as one>

 

A brony is a fan of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. If you want to be one, you are one. Some don't like the term, but are still fans. All bronies are fans of the show, but not all fans of the show call themselves bronies. Some female fans prefer pegasister instead,

 

Questione2) What type or language do one uses to assimilate as a Bronie? Is there a specific Lingo?

 

There is some lingo, but not that many terms you need to know to get by. Internet trolls are sometimes referred to as parasprites after a species of pesky pests from the show. Brohoof is similar to fist bump or high five in nature. Mane 6 refers to the main 6 characters of the show. There are a few others I'm probably missing, but it really isn't super important. No one would be too off put by someone not using the lingo. They would probably be glad to teach you.

 

Question 3) What kind of media does one use in order to communicate between each other?

 

Usually message boards and fan sites, though obviously person to person through IM and Skype are certainly a thing among those that have become good friends. There are also clubs at some colleges, universities and high schools.

 

Question 4) Can a girl be a "bronie" or is it just DUDES?

 

A brony can be anyone, though some female fans prefer pegasister. (P.S. The singular is brony )

 

Question 5) How does one get informed about a Convention, Meet-up or any up-comming events?

 

Equestria Daily is a great source for news about those sorts of things and more. They feature them at the end of their "Nightly Roundup" stories. Message boards are also great places to meet up with fans. There's even a fan map on this site.

 

Question 6) Which Pony do you Indentify yourself with and why?

 

A bit of Twilight and a bit Applejack. Twilight Sparkle is very thirsty for knowledge, but also a bit type A personality with a need for exactness. Applejack is a very reliable and dependable, level headed pony that really helps the group mesh.

 

Question 7) Are there diffrent levels or types of achievements through out this Community?

 

If you're talking about the community as a whole, the only real levels of achievements are through popularity, usually for creative works and analysis. The big names get panels at cons.

 

Question 8) Who is in Charge or Founded the Bronie Community?

 

There really isn't anyone in charge per se, but I think I read that it started up on 4chan.

 

Quesiton 9) What type of Training does one have to perform or know when becoming a Bronie?

 

No real training is required. If you enjoy watching the show, you're in.

 

Question 10) What is your favorite aspects of being a member of a Bronie Community??

 

The love is really the big part. Lovingly crafted stories and creative works along with the just huggy happy nature of the community is just awesome. Also, what may be surprising to some is the high level intellectual interaction of some conversations.

 

These are 10 Questions I need answers to, that will develop my paper into more of a Persuasive aspect. If I may have you guys answer this questions. When answering these questions: please re-write them on the heading so I dont confuse myself.

Not by choice. Sometimes I toss and turn, but usually I get to sleep before 3am. I might wake up then and try to get back to sleep

I think the proper term for it is insomnia. I struggle with it ALL the time. In fact, I'm dealing with it right now as I type this. Most of it is due to the stimulant I take for my ADHD, which I've tried to stop taking. It didn't go over very well.

 

Anyway, what about you guys? Do you have any trouble sleeping? Maybe going to sleep?

Yes, sometimes it is hard getting to Luna's warm embrace at night. Lately it's been a bit more of waking up at 3 or 4 am and not being able to get back to sleep. I'll sometimes watch a British show. The accents are usually so soothing it puts me out. Not that they're boring, just very soothing.

I think it would probably be gold with some small design at the base of the neckline . Perhaps a star like the element of magic.

"That's awful kind of you sir. Friendly folk are going to be a shift from my last stop over in Manehatten. Too many ponies and not enough clear blue skies. Hope this turns out to be as nice as my hometown of Dodge."

Dexxy took a scan around the area.

"What's that smoke over there?"

"Nothing in particular. I've got to find a place to roost, but I can camp out in the clouds for a few days if need be. Wouldn't be the first time."

Dexxy lifted his goggles and let them rest on his forehead. He stretched his long stick like legs and jogged a bit in place to loosen them up.

"I appreciate the welcome."

Considering the naming conventions of this universe, I wouldn't put too much stock in names and ponies being related. The only time that names have really meant family is in the case of the cakes. The apples have a theme, but Apple isn't part of all their names. Shining and Twi are siblings, but they don't share a name.

Besides, Daring is just a nickname that Yearling goes by if the events of Daring Don't can be believed.

I've never actually eaten at a white castle. We have Krystals.

We have neither. The only thing I've had of White Castle was some frozen burgers I think, but I was unimpressed. To each their own I suppose. I'll keep my Whataburgers.

What if by some contrivance Big Mac and Shining Armor meet and go on some sort of journey, with corn dogs and slushies and fruit jerky.

Or maybe on a more serious note we get Twilight visiting Shiny and due to some events keep getting distracted. In the end they do get to spend time somehow.

I was in middle school. I was in my English class when the news came out. I remember we sat around for a lot of band class and talked about what was happening. The news was pretty much constant about it for about 2 days.

Dexxy took the advice and turned in toward town. He spiraled in slowly and landed near the edge of town so as to have plenty of room for a leisurely landing. There were plenty of ponies wandering the streets. He flapped his wings one last time and tucked them away with a ruffle.

Dexterous was surprised that someone had flown behind him so closely without catching his notice. Circling up, around and back, he flew by his side to make the conversation less awkward.

"Name's Dexterous Wings , but most call me Dexxy. I'm the new rescue spotter for the town. I haven't even landed yet."

I enjoyed her character immensely, but my heart still belongs to AJ. She was a great contrast to Pinkie. I suppose you would have to have a sense of humor to enjoy such a Spartan existence as living on a rock farm. If you liked her humor, you should check out Steven Wright. He's very funny.

I think she'll probably finish at Cadence's height.

The royal sisters have things specific to them such as their height, manes and lifespans.

Everything we've heard from "Word of God" suggests that she is not immortal like the sisters and is kind of a lower tier of alicorn with Cadence. It has been said I believe that she will not outlive her friends. Unless they all become alicorns lol.

Then again, for the ease on the artists she may be done growing.

Would have been funny to watch her try to put on her gala dress with the others and realize she couldn't fit. Might be a nice moment of realization of how much she has changed.

I've never hunted for other bronies, but I do all my brony stuff on the internet. Perhaps subtlety would be wise. Hum an obscure song from mlp. Not one that the general public would recognize, but a brony would. Do it softly around someone you suspect and gauge their reactions. Don't labor at it. Act like it's something you're just humming to yourself. If questioned by someone you think would react poorly just say it was something you overheard someone playing and it got stuck in your head.

I don't know what I'm talking about, but it's an idea instead of just coming right out with it.

If it doesn't work and someone has tried it I will gladly rescind it.
