    "Gadget... this'll ruin your birthday but you need to see this..." Fire gave Gadget the picture of Riley, her expression seemed to say "come and get it..." and she was winking at him, "that Is the greatest birthday present ever given to a stallion... well done you lucky son of a bitch!"

    "yeah but she'll have her security goons around her, also known as the Echo Squad the bunch of..." Fire didn't finish and instead muttered all the curse words he could think of, he looked through the glove box for some music and a different image of Riley came out marked as Gadget's birthday present

    "would Riley even get to talk to the commander... the doctor did say she shouldn't leave the vault until she's given birth so it'd be five more months, the commander rarely comes to the Vault now she's to busy stopping the Militia take back the cruise ship..."

    "Me on the Echo Squad? did you just listen to yourself or did you mean to talk bull crap?" Fire said raising an eyebrow at Gadget suspiciously detecting that he might somehow be on the boundaries of insanity for suggesting such a thing like him being on the Echo Squad

    "fine, you got me I like the commander..." Fire said "look let's get to this factory before any of the Echo Squad here what you just said! They'll kill me if they found out I like the commander" Fire looked panicked and put Riley's pregnancy photo's back into the glove box

    "What? no?!" Fire said trying to hide the obvious from Gadget, "I mean she is an attractive pony but me like her n-no who would be interested in somepony like her? " he looked around nervously trying to trick Gadget into believing that he didn't like the commander"

    "Y'know for questioning everyone, buncha hard asses..." Fire said as one checked over the truck looking at Fire and Gadget rather suspiciously, "I mean seriously, the Girl's pregnant is she not entitled to her own secrets because of that? geez it's not like she's murdered us all"

    "yeah they seem a bit too well trained though, some are even questioning Riley when she's on the lower floors... but they don't know what the synth's doing... I know one got a glimpse into the room she keeps going into, there's a large tarpaulin covering something in there..."

    "I think there is... in some old work species anyway..." Fire said opening the glove box, there were more photos this time of her bump and how big it had gotten over the past four months it started with week one and ended with twelve with "I look so fat!" written underneath it

    "hah you bet she is! that charge she lead on that old cruise ship was amazing! pure tactical genius!" Fire got in the passenger side, it was then he realised how many pictures of Gadget Riley had stuck up on her wind screen it was strange to say the least but also cute

    "Really? what's she like?" Fire said following closely behind, "hey watch this Riley showed me it the other day" Fire bucked the rams making them extend and the trailer loosing connection with the fifth wheel plate on the back of the cab, "we don't need the trailer right now..."

    "Fireball, pleased to meet you" for a guard he was surprisingly polite and shook Gadget's hoof "anyway were wasting daylight should we get on the road to this factory?" he said a slight bit of concern in his voice as he spoke about the factor and the loss of time

    "we could try one of the old robotics factories around here... they're always a good source of technical parts, you don't have Riley's keys with you do you?" he said "we could take the truck if you do," he checked the map on his Pip-buck" yeah it's not to far... three hours maybe"

    "Well it depends on what that something is my good man. If it involves somepony willing to be the protector for those in need of protection then you've come to the right place," The guard said taking a bite from his sandwich "well not place but pony... oh you know what I mean... Your Gadget aren't you? the one who got the synth pregnant? oh what was her name...Hiley, rowley...no... what was it?"

    "alright just be careful..." Riley said hugging Gadget "now go on get!" She joked tapping his flank before returning to work, as she turned she looked in the Mirror, (Riley you look like such a fat bitch right now...) she thought referencing her rather large stomach

    "yeah... I wish I could go looking for one but the Doc or 'Doc' told me to stay in the Vault until child birth... apparently Raiders tend to kidnap pregnant mares more often than not..." Riley said, "sometimes I hate being a mare..." she said she didn't mean it but sarcasm wasn't something she was programmed with

    Riley was also thinking about her last experience with a medical bot she still had the scars to prove it, her self repair systems hadn't yet fixed it yet as they were occupied with keeping Riley's child inside of her which meant constantly adding and removing materials

    "that could work but I want it to be able to look after the foal as well, we can assume that they'll be 100% biological thus meaning they would need their parts that my mechanics replace to be registered, it doesn't help that we don't know what gender they'll turn out as either"

    "well that helps! right so I need her to recognise me in my current form and none pregnant form as healthy I know how to get her to see a normal pony as healthy but not a synth like me, so that's where you come in, I need you to find a way to make her recognise me as healthy"

    "no no of course I don't mind, I actually struggle with programming this old thing, so I thought you could help me with it." Riley said focussing back on the table the droid lay on, she had done a pretty decent job so far but it still viewed Riley's synth components as medical anomalies

    Riley's blood regulator nearly jumped out of her chest as she span around to face Gadget, "oh thank whatever it's just you Gadget!" Riley said taking some deep breaths, "yeah, yeah I'm just working on this old Medical droid... y'know... for this guy?" Riley patted her bump "we're not always going to be here so I thought about making a droid to help me care for them..."

    Riley checked that she wasn't being followed by anypony her large bump was something that attracted a lot of attention and ducked inside a dark room, she closed the curtains and turned on the lights, she was working on a medical robot to help her when her child finally arrived

    Riley started the truck and drove back to the vault still crying, (gonna skip three or four months) After the ship had been taken from the Militia many settlements saw the potential in the Gator teeth and started to join up, there were a lot on new arrivals to process, speaking of new arrivals Riley had been spending a lot of time in the lower vault floors not wanting to share what she was doing

    "They were gonna kill me Gadget! me and the foal..." Riley said crying in his hooves, "it was horrible, beating shooting until you were almost dead ans then at the last second they stop, and then start and repeat the process over and over! it was horrible" Riley was 'crying' her 'eyes' out

    "y-yep..." Riley said tears streaming down her face she didn't care about the looks she was getting as she hugged Gadget, "I'm so sorry... I'll head back to the vault now..." Riley said heading downstairs and back into the truck, she rested her head on the stearing wheel and cried
