    Gold came downstairs red in the face (note to self. don't stare at shower doors when a mare is showering.) he thought whilst making coffee for himself and Emerald. After dressing Emerald came downstairs and sat next to Ballpoint's hind legs. she was still angry at Gold for not saying anything even after he brought her coffee

    Emerald came out of the shower to see Gold there. just standing there. his face bright red. "E...Em...y...yo..." he stammered "I what?" Emerald said "t...t...towel..." Emerald looked down and covered herself as best she could with her hooves. "hey! stop looking" she said fumbling for a towel when she found one she was not happy at all. "why didn't you tell me sooner." she said "you can look now." Emerald was still only wearing a locket but now had a towel on as well.

    "I keep an eye on you two until your hangovers clear up and well you go back home and I stay here... making sure Emerald keeps to her word and doesn't start drinking again." He slipped a small diamond into Ballpoint's pocket. "payment for helping her with her problems. if anyone asks say it was a gift."

    Gold gave the same look back he had no idea what was up with Emerald. eventually he managed to pry her away from hugging Ballpoint. Emerald went to have a shower and Gold began speaking to Ballpoint. "look... about that entire thing with Em I honestly can't thank you enough... she might seem really happy and cheery but actually she's been extremely depressed since she lost the eye... me leaving to pay for this place drove her to drinking I tried to stop her but she just kept going... I was worried about her... but then me and the crew got stuck at sea for three months... and all this happened... Once again I'm sorry." Gold gave Ballpoint a hug as thanks for helping Emerald.

    Emerald and Gold had a quick talk about things and when Ballpoint came out Emerald gave her an apologetic hug "I'm sorry I promise that I won't drink any more... we're still friends right?" Emerald was near tears and Gold was hoping for Ballpoint to just say yes otherwise Emerald would go supernova.

    "Uhh..... what is that?" Emerald said shocked "Look I was drunk what ever I did I probably didn't mean to." Emerald looked towards Ballpoint embarrassment in her eye as the taller ponies looked down on her. she hid behind Gold to hide her embarrassment from Ballpoint

    "... Nope! I can't say that I do..." Emerald said blushing with embarrassment... "I probably got drunk that morning now that I think about it... Wait! I've got it! I drank from my own flask at lunch which has a mixture of vodka and whisky in it... so no I don't remember what happened yesterday..."

    Emerald was still hugging Gold when Ballpoint got to the top of the stairs. she had almost forgotten who Ballpoint was "uhh... I don't know..." Emerald said her voice filled with pure honesty. "who are you again?" she said rubbing the back of her head in embarrassment

    "yeah..." she said as Gold's eyes widened "don't use the toilet though... I just puked... Gold realised that these two mares who were already a hoof full having hangovers meant even worse things for him. he would have to stay with both of them until they were able to move five feet with out barfing.

    Emerald awoke feeling terrible she looked around before needing to puke she ran into the bathroom and everything she had drunk last night left her body. she didn't remember a thing but as soon as she walked into the guest room she gave her ex a massive hug with a "Gold! you should have told me you were home I missed you so much!" it was true she really didn't remember anything from the night before.

    Seeing that the couch was occupied he went to the kitchen and began to clear up the empty bottles (you two sure know how to party...) he thought as he cleared the mess eventually he fell asleep in the guest room which was next to Emerald's room. he peaked in and she was still where he had left her. maybe he could just... no, she would be fine they weren't at sea any more she didn't need protecting...

    He smiled "thank-you for forgiving me." Emerald was taking way too long to get changed. " I'm gonna go check on Emerald she doesn't normally take this long. " he said walking upstairs. he entered Emerald's room to see her passed out on the bed with a night gown loosely hanging off of her. he brought the sheets above her and kissed her on the cheek. "good night my princess..." he said before heading downstairs

    Emerald went upstairs to get changed and her ex came and sat next to Ballpoint "so... look I'm sorry about all that... but we were going to be married raise a family... and instead all of this happened. I just... I was selfish okay? I wanted her to myself but now I see... that was a mistake... i just hope you can forgive me..." he said

    Emerald pulled herself away from Ballpoint "STOP! JUST STOP! OKAY!? I'm not a prize to be won and I don't need to be fought over either!" Emerald was frustrated. "look both of you can stay here but remember I am not a prize, I don't need to be fought over and Nither of you can sleep in the bed! now can we all just calm down and have a coffee I need to sober up."

    "EMERALD!" he said turning around. "sorry... I thought you were dead... it had been three months...since you were last here." Emerald said "the drink wasn't enough so I..." he had heard enough and span around. "listen american you don't know anything about me or Emerald. you may think you do but kissing her isn't anything compared to the stuff we've done unlike you I did things for this mare I saved her life and you kissed her and got drunk..."

    "Oh you know the guy who got to Emerald first." he pointed at a picture frame on the counter with Emerald and her boyfriend kissing on the Golden Retriever. he noticed all the empty liquor bottles lying around "great so your both blind drunk as well?" he said Emerald nodded and tried to say sorry but all that came out was a "*hic*"

    Emerald moaned in pleasure as Ballpoint grabbed her flank but it didn't last as right then Emerald's Ex walked in on them, he dropped his keys when he saw the two mares kissing in the kitchen and filled with rage and sadness walked up to Emerald, took Ballpoint's hoof from her flank and replaced it with his and proceeded to give her the longest kiss she had ever been given

    "with a metric shit tonne of coffee" Emerald said doing as Ballpoint said the two were probably drunk enough to have tomorrow off and didn't need any more liquor in their systems. the kettle had finished boiling but by then Emerald was already locking lips with Ballpoint

    (alright) "*hic* then why don't you come get it?" Emerald said with what would normally be a wink but because of her one eye'dness was more of a blink and for once hitting her intended target of Ballpoint's lips with a drunken kiss. she held onto Ballpoint's face and after kissing downed half of the whisky before giving it to her.

    Emerald stumbled around and put the kettle on. "I'm gonna make some coffee..." she said attempting to not fall asleep on the kettle and scorching her other eye, her eye drifted down Ballpoint's body she was slightly taller than Emerald and was prettier than her as well

    Emerald pulled away her tongue hanging out as she panted for air. the rain intensified and thunder struck a few miles away lighting up the house which currently only had the 'mood lighting' on it had gone dark by now and Emerald began to worry about where Ballpoint would sleep

    "your's isn't too different" Emerald said returning the kiss and lapping the leftover cider from Ballpoint's tongue sure it had been in Ballpoint's mouth but alcohol was alcohol and it made the experience that much more romantic. in whatever drunken thoughts she had Emerald realised that this was love.

    Emerald noticed Ballpoint's attempts and wriggled closer until she was right against Ballpoint "no you c'mere" she said as she (almost) landed a successful kiss on Ballpoint but instead falling short and ending up kissing Ballpoint's neck instead of her lips
