  1. Ponies? Humanized ponies? Not everyone's cup of tea but certainly more palatable and acceptable I guess.

I disagree. I think MLPs with hands and breasts are just weird, but normal-non anthro MLPs can look pretty hot (though they generally don't).

It's all different opinions I suppose, but I like ponies looking like ponies and humans looking like humans. Anthro just makes me feel weird.

  2. Ahuitzotl is a creature in Aztec mythology, and many of the other species (e.g. manticore) come from Greek mythology. Whether the ponies' behaviour towards Celestia or Luna constitute worship is a little ambiguous, but the nightmare night mythology about giving offerings of sweets to a nightmare moon statue seems pretty religious to me.

Whatever religion they do have it's not one that exists in our world.

  3. *Fillies

"Philly's" means something belonging to Philadelphia cheese.

And the song is just a bit weird, generally. It doesn't really give the sort of emotions that the song looks like it should be giving.

  4. I want to go there, it sounds awesome! What is lucid dreaming like?

It's pretty fun sometimes, but usually when I lucid dream I end up waking up a few seconds later.

I remember once when I was in a car on a collapsing bridge, and I used my lucid-dreaming powers to teleport to a part of the motorway system that wasn't collapsing. Mostly lucid dreaming just gives me an opportunity to sort out a problem in my dream, or do something weird, but it would be better if I could have a lucid dream that lasted longer than about 30 seconds. Maybe I should plan something interesting or fun to do the next time I lucid dream...

It's a little bit strange sometimes, because when I lucid dream I often have difficulty making physically impossible stuff happen, even if I realise I'm in control, because part of my mind realises that I'm dreaming and part of it doesn't and the two sides basically fight for control of the dream.

My dreams are usually pretty fun without needing to lucid dream, though... I can end up doing pretty much anything as long as I go to the right part of the dream world.

"Then we saw the vampires turn into elephants. Yes... elephants. It became clear that we were dealing with vampire/elephant shapeshifters."

Yeah. That is a weird dream. Some crazy things have happened in my dreams, but I don't think anything quite that weird has happened before.

  5. My dreams are pretty weird. They all take place in a sort of "dream world" which is a single place, where I can walk from any part of it into any other part of it. It's always linked up the same way, so I've learned my way around it. If I lucid dream I can choose to walk (or swim, or fly) from one part of it to another.

The place is REALLY big and really detailed. It's the size of a small country, and includes about 10-20 built up areas (villages and cities), all of which themselvs have a lot of detail. There's a huge forest, a ski resort, a complex railway system and lots of sections based on video games - if I want I can drive around my dream world in a Mario Kart, or I can just play Pokemon, Civ or Age of Empires or pretty much any other game I've ever played.

There are also at least 4 McDonalds, 3 Pizza restaurants, a Chinese takeaway, 2 Gaming arcades, dozens of hotels (mostly in the Ski resort), 3 museums, 2 schools, 3 airports, lots of shops (including a huge shopping centre, a multi storey supermarket and 2 middle eastern Bazaars), 2 theme parks, a lighthouse, an oil rig, lots of empty fields, a building with about 20 swimming pools all of different shapes and sizes, 3 campsites and a huge beach. Oh, and a bridge made of cake. And a crazy woman who always tries to castrate me with some some sort of polearm weapon that I don't know the name of.

Most of my dreams just involve me walking/cycling/driving/flying/taking the train/sailing across the dream world.

The only thing my dream world DOESN'T seem to have yet is ponies (i'm pretty surprised, usually when I like a thing I end up with an extra section added to the edge of my dream world with that thing in it).

  6. ENTJ, Twilight, if I'm not mistaken.

No. Twilight's too introverted to be an ENTJ. She's probably either an INTJ or an ISTJ.

On the border of ISFP/INFP, so either Fluttershy or Luna (I think more towards Luna, personally :Pimg-3219306-1-YXRLm.jpg

This chart is wrong. Luna is too non-conforming to be an INFP, Twilight's too organised to be an INTP and Celestia matches up with ENFJ/INFJ (teacher/counselor) a lot better than INTJ.

The other Pony MBTI chart is better.

According to the 2013 herd census 27% of Bronies are INTJs (over 20x as common as they are in the general population. The statistics indicate that there are more INTJs who are Bronies than INTJs who are not).

Let's see how many of us there are on this forum :)

    I'm an INTJ Brony.

  7. "It's not important how long you live, it's what you accomplish with your life"

Grovyle, "In the future of darkness"

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky

I never expected to find something so philosophically deep in a Pokemon game, but when I found it, the more I thought about it, the more I realised about the truth of these words and the others spoken by Grovyle in the game.

  8. I genuinely cannot stop thinking about MLP. I think the longest I've gone in all the waking hours I've had in the past two weeks without thinking of MLP is about 5 minutes.

Whenever I look at an abstract or unclear image it initially looks to me like a pony or something else from MLP.

Earlier today... or yesterday I guess... I actually hallucinated a pony for a split second (I was feeling pretty tired. Weirdly I haven't slept since then, but I don't feel tired any more despite it being 1 am. My body clock is really fucked up).

This isn't a joke or an exaggeration - it's actually pretty worrying.

... But I don't have any merchandise or anything like that. I've only been a brony since the 15th of September.

  9. Oh, and as for what I'd do - I'd ask her some stuff about equestria (e.g. how similar is MLP biology to that of actual horses, is the rainbow factory real, what's the economic situation there), and depending on the answers I'd ask to go back with her.

  10. There's really no limit to how screwed up MLP fanfics can get. For the maximum of both violence and sex (and just being completely disgusting) it would probably be "120 days of blueblood" - I have read very little (just to see how screwed up it would get), and what I have read can basically be summed up as "paedophilia, coprophilia, torture and blood fetish all at the same time".

But many stories which include clop actually have good storylines (e.g. "After that fateful night), and the sex is often possible to just skip over without missing any of the story.

  11. Friends through eternity,

    Loyalty, honesty,

    We'll stay together,

    Through thick or thin.

    Friends forever,

    We'll be together,

    We're on top,

    Cause we play to win.

    That's a very good one.

I'm struck by how an 18 rated game can have such an innocent song about loyalty and friendship, while Friendship is Magic has spawned some extremely violent material, including songs like "Pegasus device" and "Guncakes". It's like everything is inverting itself as far as the age-appropriateness of subjects covered are concerned.

  12. According to this box I'm also Twilight, but that makes no sense, since I procrastinate and don't study or really prepare for anything lol. Which I guess is why I'm so obsessed with criticizing that label for her

Oh good they fixed Twilight and Luna :D

But now they've screwed up Celestia :okiedokielokie:

Still disagree with Dash, who is clearly not a thinker (Dragonshy anyone? Or any episode where she charges into a situation without really thinking.)

I don't think they've screwed up celestia. The INFJ type matches up with the Counselor role variant, which matches Celestia pretty much perfectly.

"Counselors are introspective, cooperative, directive, and attentive. They have a strong desire to contribute to the welfare of others. Counselors are gratified by helping others to develop and reach their potential.

Counselors often communicate in a personalized manner. They tend to be positive and kind when dealing with others. Counselors are good listeners and can sometimes detect a person's emotions or intentions even before the individual is aware of them. This ability to take in the emotional experiences of others, however, can lead Counselors to be hurt easily.

Counselors usually have intricate personalities and rich inner lives. They tend to understand complex issues and individuals. They are generally private people who keep their innermost thoughts and emotional reactions to themselves. This quality can make them difficult to get to know.

Counselors value harmony, which they work to maintain at home and at work. They may lose confidence, become unhappy, and even become physically ill if subjected to a hostile environment. Counselors may be crushed by too much criticism, though they may not express their feelings to others."

Her enthusiasm for Twilight to socialise more and her openness and leadership abilities indicate that she might be more likely to be an ENFJ (Teacher, which is a pretty good description of what she does), but she's definitely not an INTJ.

  13. 15th of September.

I'd been looking at the demographics of bronies from the "Herd census" out of curiosity, having read on Wikipedia that a lot of bronies have an INTJ personality type. I realised that I was at the modal age (18) and that I am an INTJ, so I crunched the numbers and got about a 60% probability that I was a Brony (and that was a conservative estimate). With a probabilty that high I thought that it meant that it was inevitable that I'd like MLP if I watched it, so I tried it, and I loved it.

  14. I think that Luna's probably an INTJ, not an INFP.

This is because INFPs try to hide their conflicts with friends and siblings and are loyal to them, which Luna obviously did not do when she became Nightmare Moon.

Luna also has difficulties adapting to socialising and understanding people in the new society after coming back from being banished, something which INFPs are typically very good at, but INTJs are not (though a lot of people would find it hard to socialise if everyone thinks you're an omnicidal maniac, for obvious reasons).

The transformation into nightmare moon wouldn't require a feeling personality if Luna thought that she'd be better at ruling than Celestia (and INTJs are apparently good leaders). Plus, it's not just feeling types that feel jealousy or who get annoyed at unfair situations.

INTJs and INFPs are surprisingly similar though, so it is hard to tell.

I think this chart is more accurate:
