  1. The dragons do not seem to be that united. I think the show suggested that they're nomadic anyway. Probably only settle down once they get a great big hoard of gold and a cave to stash it in and they just keep guard. I doubt there is really any dragon city at all but the creators of the show can do whatever they want. Heck it might even become a trend in these adventure episodes that the Mane 6 travel to places outside Equestria.

I'd rather we see some new species now. One where Rarity and Applejack go visit the Sea Ponies to solve their problems, for example.

  2. The Luna-CMC episode was expected as it was always going to be a trilogy. Gilda returning was not that bad, I'm glad to see she and Dash are friends again and we saw a little backstory on Gilda too. The Discord and Fluttershy episode was more of a Discord episode and I guess he deserves one.

Following this trend, we might see Cadence and Shining Armour again with an episode centered on them.

  3. I am guessing that Equestria went through all the major ages that we have had in our world. Only difference with them was that throughout all those ages, Celestia and (for some of the time) Luna remained the leaders. I think that Manehattan is a really new city that's why it is so 30s styled while Canterlot is almost as old as Equestria so it has that medieval look to it.

  4. The way I see it, Hasbro has two options.

    • They make a Club Penguin style game which little girls can play online and socialize with other ponies on in a child-friendly environment. Some in-game purchases and some pony versions of classic arcade games. All taking place in an open world Equestria. Game would be 2D.

    • Hasbro roll out some big dough instead of making an MMO online for little girls and try to make some money from the bronies too by making a 3D action game with it's own original storyline involving the Mane 6 and other side characters as playable characters in the game where you can explore Equestria and places outside it such as the Gryffon Kingdom. A main storyline with some mini-games as well.
  5. Again? Have fun with all the confusion that will come as a result of this being implemented. On all forums the purpose of these badges are just to show how many active posts you have. You can't personalise them or change them. You have avatars and signatures for that.

  6. SS has to deal with a lot of shit but maybe she does deserve it because of the fact that she turned into a DEMON and planned to turn everyone else into mindless zombies. That is no small thing.

The human Mane 5 are teenagers and they can be inconsiderate at times. Sunset is mature enough to let it slide and all is well.

Lastly, if I were in Celestia or Luna's place, I would not trust Sunset at all but after the events of Rainbow Rocks, I think the whole school saw that Sunset helped saved the day and most of them should not be so hostile to her in the third movie. However, they will probably never let her forget what she did in the first movie.

  7. Flashlight is so damn fake and forced. Honestly I think it only happened on the show due to pressure from Hasbro because they wanted to sell some Flash Sentry toys too.

AppleDash is another one that I don't like because I know it would never happen. Both are friends and though there is friendly competition between them but they also fight and disagree a lot.

  8. I was four years old, I never had any memory of seeing it. My acquaintance silver midnight though got married on the same day.

That joke does sound a bit disrespectful. Not being a bit SJW or anything. But this is quite serious, also, it's quite morbid, how about, where were you during the Olympics 2012 opening ceremony instead?

No, you don't understand. I was like really young back then. I could barely speak but I knew how to say 'Building fall down!'. I didn't even know the event was real.

  9. Well at least on this forum, everything is fine. You can't even really swear openly here let alone post clopping material so here you do not need to worry about whether or not people tag the clop threads properly because there aren't any!

On other sites, I guess you just need to be a bit more careful.

  10. The first EG had some good parts where Twilight was learning how to act like a human and I liked Sunset Shimmer as a villain as well. I will say that personally I liked the second movie a lot more but I get where you're coming from.

  11. Nope, not me at least. I saw the first episode of the show back in late 2010 but I didn't like it that much. Some months later while browsing on Youtube I came across some funny pony videos including a joke about 'The Royal Wii'. Suddenly got the urge to give the show another chance and before I knew it, I had watched about 20 episodes in about three days.

  12. I am technically an x anti-brony so if I may give my thoughts and reasonings before I actually joined the fandom...

Even tho I enjoyed mlp in season 1, I was fearful to join the fandom. So much so I even denied my interest in the show.

I feared and despised the fandom do to it's known intolerance and inconsiderate behavior.

aka "please hide your clop from the mainstream" "haters gonna hate, rule 34, get over it"

Not to mention that the bad part of the fandom spoke, and speaks louder than the good.

So I knew about those that harassed girls (and little girls)

Claimed the show as theirs (for older men vs little girls) so complained when merch was not marketed for them

and those that even stoked girls while talking about rape like it's a fun game!

I was terrified, even when I recently tried to join the fandom

Seeing comments like "girls can't be BROnies, because they aren't bros" and "girls can't be friends with dudes" "girls are only good for sex, cooking, and cleaning" drove me away and led me to believe they were the brony community, a bunch of sexist pigs

After joining the community however, I realized that those monsters are simply a smaller portion of the fandom. They just speak so loud it's hard to see the good side of the fandom.

Altho it has been brought to my attention that the other fandom communities are finally becoming more respectful and understanding. Where mature content does seem to be separating from common fan art vs mixed together.

    Anyway

For me I guess I break the stereotypes I have seen by being an x anti-brony

altho now i'd say am am anti-shameful-brony :/

Still weary about calling myself a brony due to the inconsiderate jerk part of the fandom are much louder, and I do not wish to be associated with those things...

    __________

Sorry for the long post. I just have a lot on my mind about this subject matter.

I would like to thank a majority of this forum for helping me see the good side of the fandom! <3

If I may ask you to try to avoid using faggot as an insult... please

Personally I am technically a "faggot" so is upsetting when people act like being gay is an insult

...I'm sure you didn't mean it like that, but wanted to let you know

My deepest apologis. I will refrain from making use of that word and just so you know, I never meant that when I actually said it but again I'm sorry.

  13. I think Griffons do not need any magic to fly and that they have no magic at all. They are just a weird combination of animals we see on Earth and on top of that they have human level intelligence. Tirek wouldn't be taking any magic from them.

Changelings would offer him a lot though but nothing would beat what he gets in Equestria from all the three pony races.

What I'm saying is that he must have decided that going to the lands outside Equestria was not worth it because he was getting all the power he needed from Equestria anyway. If he really needed some more, he could go invade Changeling territory but as we saw on the show, he didn't get to be powerful for too long so I doubt he got the chance to take magic from areas outside Equestria.

  14. I think the writers are trying to sabotage Sunset's experience's in the human world and have things turn out badly for her, as a setup for her to eventually transition back to Equestria. I mean, so much crummy stuff has happened to poor Sunny since she made her new "friends", it can't be coincidence.

    Examples:

1: Staring with the second movie (Rainbow Rocks), Sunny is supposedly 'forgiven' of her past mistakes by her 'friends', the mane 5, but they keep making it a point to bring up her past errors, in conversation, whenever she's around, continuously reminding her of how awful she was- whether it's intentional or not. (And I hardly believe that it's unintentional, unless the mane 5 are completely unaware that Sunny's part of their group and follows them everywhere, and if she's in immediate line of vision and close proximity to them- and she is 99 % of the time, then there's really no excuse for that). To say “no offense” when you continuously drag up someone's past bad behavior and throw it in their face, isn't an acceptable apology. And while Sunset Shimmer's just has SO much fortitude, and is SO strong to just take all the constant reminders – not only from the entire school (including the Principal and vice, but from her so-called FRIENDS) and just grin and bear it, we can see the constant reminders exasperating, embarrassing, and just plain making poor Sunny feel so bad and riddled with guilt. ): And that's the last thing she needs from the people she calls her '”friends”, now that she's opened herself up to try learning about friendship, as Twilight has.

2: in the 2014 EQG holiday special in the IDW comics- which takes place after Rainbow Rocks, Sunset Shimmer's “friends” still treat her horribly, after Sunset proved herself changed to such a degree that she was able to transform with the elements of harmony and help the Mane 5 save the world from the sirens. The Mane 5 turn on Sunny; judging her at the drop of a hat, and leaving her sobbing on the floor (not to mention none of them notice Sunny being homeless and living in the library, or offered to take her into their home, as they did with Twilight) But even after all that, Sunny quickly (perhaps TOO quickly) forgives them, while none of them apologized to her.

3: In "Sunset Shimmer's Time to Shine" chapter book, Sunny still carries the "I just want to be helpful, but I mess up, instead" trait she showed in Rainbow Rocks, because she's out of her element, not knowing how to put all her knowledge of magic she learned in Equestria to practical use, and her "friends", once again, get angry with her, when she does try to use her learned magic, doing all that she can to help them, and things get hairy, and she deserves NONE of the crap they give her. Again.

So yeah, I think it's writer sabotage for Sunny to be better off back in Equestria, given her current circumstances, in the presence of so-called “friends” who continue to accuse her, judge her, drag up her past, and make her feel bad about herself, after they've claimed to “forgiven” her? The human mane 5 aren't the kind of "friends" Sunny really should be keeping around, as supposed "role-models" to help her better learn about friendship, anyway. The pony mane 6 (or pony Luna) might be better candidates.

All that sounds really horrible. Something that you would not normally see in comic books related to a show for little girls. I don't think the writers are planning to do anything like that but they will give her an episode in the main show where she comes to Equestria. I'm sure of it. They have no reason not to.
