  1. The special will have to do a better job with the Dazzlings than the book to impress me. I'm cautiously optimistic since I, like many of you, have been waiting for this for years. It's pretty much the only reason I care about this special at all.
  2. Last three minutes were the highlight of the episode. Everything else was hit or miss. But those facial animations though... Egh.
  3. I'd watch it to hear Kazumi Evans sing. But since I've already seen that part there's not much point anymore. I'm lost for words at what this series has turned into.
  4. I knew I wasn't going to like this episode when I started and I was right. The End.
  5. Almost every shower I've taken this year has ended up being cold whether or not it started that way. The only exceptions are when Im sick or showering just before bed. But when I crank the cold to max and I feel the icy water sting as my skin turns red and tight it gives me a boost like almost nothing else. It's an exhilarating experience that makes you feel alive. It's not comfortable, but it's worth it. Mind over matter.
  6. North America. One of the finest continents ever built.
  7. October. One of the finest months ever built.
  8. I don't know if I've ever actually been hungry enough to eat a horse. Hopefully it won't come to that. I have a sensitive digestion.
  9. Like several other have said, I should be getting some shut-eye but there is unfinished business i must attend to in these forums. Then I can rest easy.
  10. No. But then again I don't own any. If I were to acquire one I would have to think long and hard about the decision.
  11. You gotta just lay it down. Put it all out there. Don't hide it, don't deny it, don't circumscribe it. Let your Brony pride shine my man. Confidence is always attractive.
  12. It's getting a little weird wirh you saying everything I'm about to but great minds think alike. I think I'd be interested in what you're cooking. I've heard through the grapevine that another special is on the way for Equestria Girls later this year which may or may not have some callbacks. But that's all I'll say on that subject here. With Breakdown it looks like a major was nor seeing more pony. Everybody always wants more pony. While including Equestria in Equestria Girls may seem self-evident it does kind of miss the point. I suspect some may go into watching the series simply for the similarities and less so for the distinction of EqG. What I mean is that if you're just looking for ponies then FiM is the primary spot for that. Loving the characters is great but they're in seperate worlds for a reason because otherwise the series would have no purpose. I'm not saying I want less magic but I wouldn't mind seeing more humanistic elements explored in greater detail and maturity.
  13. Favorite Tree: Quercus robur a.k.a. European/English Oak. Favorite Flower: Nelumbo nucifera a.k.a Indian Lotus
  14. Ocean Man by Ween has always had a special place in my heart. Through my darkest days it has helped me see the light at the end of the tunnel. Happy tears.
  15. I drive an off-black Cadillac, great for a midnight drive. Nothing like stepping on the gas pedal, leaning back and taking my time. Occasionally I'll pull the roof back, let the sky in. I always keep it shined and waxed whenever I'm cruising through the city.
  16. Oh Princess Luna, You're a great cartoon-a, Taking flight, In the night, I hope to see you soon-a!
  17. There's a reason why Trixie is such a fan favorite. A combination of her great design, incorrigible attitude and terrific voice acring by Kathleen Barr, the G&PT never disappoints.
  18. What we see in this short is a beautiful representation of the classical dramatic divide between Pinkamena's comedy and Tank's resultant tragic feelings. The struggle of feeling like you've just barely missed an opportunity for happiness whilst seeing others bask in its glow is a very dark but also realistic concept. Fortunately, with friends as perpetually effervescent as Pinkie, you're never far from a sharing a fun time. I mus lt also note the subtlety of Gummy's performance here in his supporting role and the chemistry between the two professional reptilian thespians. Well done sirs.
  19. Not since 'Look Before You Sleep' have I gotten to see such a fun and heartwarming moment with Rarity and Applejack. As always, the dynamic of their characters together offered generous reserves of hilarity and honestly touching symbolism of friendship.
  20. A phenomenal premiere for this new season. It was daring, visionary and beautifully executed. I felt it really captured the depth of Spike the Dog that we rarely get to see. The comedy was perfectly timed down to the millisecond and was so relevant to modern trends without feeling dated. Bravo.
  21. I feel the exact opposite given how infrequently the show makes any serious reference to the Mane 6's occupations lately. They now have full occupations, teach part-time, serve as guardians of Equestria on a regular basis and will also run the nation's government with all the accompanying duties that entails. Good luck with that.
  22. That would seem to be a foregone conclusion at this point. The question is not if but when. What shape the film will take and it's relation to the franchise remains to be seen. But at this point I think it's almost inevitable the direction will be towards the next generation of My Little Pony. (It wasn't the main subject but I'd also enjoy one last full length Equestria Girls movie as well.) Season 9 hasn't been that bad, has it?
  23. The more I thought about this the more I recognized how much I can empathize with this point and in my own way with his experience you detailed. Like I said I don't really know the man very well but if his return encapsulates the kind of matter you've described I will be very interested.
  24. Fair enough and well said. I believe it's important to be able to appreciate the varying aspects and layers of this show as well as other forms of media content on multiple levels. In what ever form or fashion that takes place is up to the individual of course. I may be using a different filter or the same ones but to differing degrees. I like the cute-smarm as well. With such a strong connection that the people on these forums have with this show and the time they've invested into it(seriously, when do you sleep? lol), your position is not surprising and pretty understandable. But the conflicts of experience I see in conversation are what makes things interesting(provided it doesn't get too out of hand). Fortunately for this fandom those expectations are rarely ever missed. If I knew more about Patton Oswalt and were a fan then naturally my interest would be higher regarding the background of the episode. I don't have anything against him but I'm just less compelled about the relevancy of that information I guess. But I can relate to the feeling of having a celebrity you appreciate appear on the show as I(and I think almost everyone else) was amazed at seeing Weird Al Yankovic as Cheese Sandwich. For what it's worth I hope it is. I'm not predicting it will be completely awful and even if I did think that I'd be happy to be proven wrong. That being said, if given the choice between this and meeting Scootaloo's family I'd take the latter in a heartbeat.
  25. I'd be willing to settle for a final feature length film to cap it off. Maybe bring back some old familiar faces? But a full series would be fantastic. If it kept going after G5 started it would be like a continuation of G4(assuming they didn't totally reboot everything).
