The thing is that grimdarks don't often work if they just run off blood and gore because honestly that's so easy to write. With that being said though things like Cupcakes work since it kinda messed with our heads, you never think of Pinkie as a killer but then between cupcakes and smileHD it sorta changes it and that's where the creep factor comes from. But take the Rainbow Factory, its not scary and its not gorey but its brilliant! Because it takes the characters and really tweaks their personality without fully changing them from the show, they act the way they would in the show but its clearly all head cannon. If you want to write a good grimdark then you gotta play with what we expect, take a character everyone thinks is innocent and really make them have a darker side, its the only way to make grimdarks work from FiM I think. (But please not like butterflies and just make it so ott that they seem innocent but they hide a "dark secret" and wanna kill everypony because that just goes too far and its predictable and blahhhh) Just don't make it predictable, and I know I'm just sorta saying what you probably know but yeah its all there is. Okay... Hey guys I hope y'all enjoyed this episode! I'm curious though, because so far all the responses I've seen are saying "ITS GREAT OMGGGG" whereas I was kinda dissapointed... I mean it was a good episode! But after all that build up, the wait, and the hype? Did it live up to much? I don't really think so. If there was no wait and even though it was a milestone in the show they played it off like a regular episode I would have liked it more... But I guess it kinda felt a little let down... Anyone agree? (I'm not dissing the episode though because I mean come on, Lyra had quite a bit to say <3)

Its all okay having to wait an extra week, plus it's taught me to check on this before I watch an episode! Since it doesn't air in my country I rely on the internet to see it so I've been searching to no success to see where it was to finally come here and understand the truth Oh well, have an awesome week anyways guys!!!

Something that I like most about mlp is the lack of the general sitcom situations, so many shows rely upon sexual references to be funny or entertaining. Whereas I find it boring and over done, mlp doesn't need those elements, however its still a great idea and I'd defiantly watch it but I think it would be so diffirent it couldn't be linked at all... (Plus in a sitcom Flash would probably get with Twi and that's a BIIIGGG NO from me)

No way, I've only seen one person do it (not from a big brony area) and I thought it was awesome, talked to her for ages because it was pretty funny. I won't lie, it's slipped out of me before and that made me cringe but if I saw someone else do it I find that amazing

Not trying to put you down but no, no they aren't, basically every show with 7 characters has people saying this a few hundred times a day, but it's not true, for this show. I can understand others being more of a maybe, because I don't think that the idea of this show is showing that the seven deadly sins work well togheter, it just seems wrong. I see your point but honestly its more likely to be the virtues, or maybe even the karath, since the show has lots of mythology... Either way no, I really disagree with the idea this show is about the seven deadly sins

It was, still is, and shall remain Fluttershy! When I first started getting into the show I watched stuff about it on YouTube, after finding quite a few Fluttershy videos I found myself finding her funny annnnd so there we go!

This is what happened, Fluttershy flew a lot faster because she didn't that "big meanie" to keep control of her friend RD so she kicked into gear something which was beyond her limits. Even when she overcame the bullies in Hurricane Fluttershy she was able to have a surge making her about on par with RD however that was out of anger. Yes and it was exciting! Okay, so I met this guy at a fiesta and basically I referenced RD suttely because thats what I do... then he popped his nose in and we began to talk about who would win in fights RD or Pinkie, who would win races, that sorta thing. Sadly that was also the last time I saw him :c So far he's the only other one I've met

Glad to see someone shares my views <3 well sorta... I'm not a huge fan of twilight, however I don't hate her, I just can't stand seeing somepony who's always the most important and everything! However even within the mane 6 I have another charactor I hate even more, she just, ugh idk gets on my nerves... I don't wanna say who it is but let's just say orange isn't really my color. As for twi, don't hate her, just think she needs to be tamed down a tad

Well I guess his "special talent" is assisting, sounds kind of rough but its true. He mostly assists without doing much himself so maybe it could be a pair of hands? Like helping hands. However a green ball of fire with a scroll in it makes sense as well. Although I think a hand or pair of hands are more cutie-mark-ish

Well personally my problem with season 3/4 is because of the way its now all about destiny and whatnot, just with the whole Twilight becoming princess... I'm not huge on that idea, however I don't fully understand the complaints about these seasons because I thought they were epic! Sure, its different in many ways but the episodes can still be super awesome! I like what you've done here but I just think season 3/4 just needed to be more relatable when it comes to twilight (so not as princess-ey) then all these problems would have been gone. Even though they can make for some epic episodes

All Flash did was make me think Twilight shouldn't be princess, here me out, she only fancys him from looks which basically ignores half the friendship lessons she's had where its all about not judging someone on looks but instead personalities. So if she ends up with him I'm going to think all that she's learnt will be rather pointless, I don't mean to offend any of his fans but honestly he isn't much of a charactor in my opinion and she's so important and useful that it seems silly that she even thinks about him...

Well perceived, I really like this idea. However I wouldn't say they are too literal when it comes to cutie marks, for instance Fluttershy has 3 butterfly's because she is gentle and cares for animals however these are not having to be butterflys. So in a way the cutie marks are open to interpretation, these do not set in stone that ponys life. Also, pony's are welcome to have career changes, I believe it was Pinkie Pie in the episode with Cheese Sandwich where she trys different jobs but none of them work out, so pony's aren't given or refused a job because of their cutie mark. Often cutie marks are given when a pony finds her destiny, as with Applejack and wanting to run Sweet Apple Acres, therefore the cutie mark will probably be relevant all through her life since it is her goal and most likely destiny. As for them affecting a pony's mental health, I can agree and also disagree here, the CMC are examples of how tough it can be without cutie marks since there are bully's and expectations that require cutie marks. Yet I don't think this damages them mentally because its more something they really want, its just like really wanting your parents to buy you a PlayStation because it never seems to happen (horrible analogy but hey, this is my post ) so I think they would have that same feeling instead. Or when you mentioned they feeling like they are stuck in that profession because of their mark well I think the mark takes into consideration their feelings on the job or talent. As we saw in season 3 finale pony's match their cutie marks and not others. So I think cutie marks are safe because I think its actually what ponies want. (I probably have 100s of spelling mistakes so sorry but I hope all makes sense)

Not going to lie, I didn't even like the pony power look so I guess I have to say the human. I just thought the power pony stuff was a little ott in a few things, but I can't say I like the human more because besides longer hair and tails (yes and ears, I know) nothing even changed. Soooo I'll be with option C of neither, I liked the idea just not the look.

Unpopular opinion but Applejack is my least favorite pony... She just seems to be rather boring in my opinion, I can understand why some people love her so much for sure but I'm not one of those people... By a far way... Although, I do like some of her songs! I mean Bats! And that Apple family song?? Amazing But as for this post, RD all the way

While I like the idea, and I love it when they reference older generations (e.g. too many pinkies one of them makes a G3 face as a joke) so ofc it would be awesome to have some older generations brought in, even if just a background charactor or an episode here and there like Maud Pie. However, I wouldn't like the idea of them being related, it makes sense in a way but just for me I don't like the idea but I can't even pinpoint why... Just don't
