  1. Hello and welcome all, this is my review of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, or at least the spoiler free, light side edition, if you want to call it that. So, what did I think of it? I thought it was good. Not perfect, but very good, far better than the prequels. However, it is not without it's flaws, which I'll discuss in The Dark Side, Spoilery edition. There is, thankfully, more good than bad. All of the characters are wonderful and well cast, especially in the case of John Boyega as Finn and Daisy Ridley as Rey, who are perfect for the roles and interact wonderfully together. Harrison Ford as Han Solo is perfect once again, and it's wonderful to see him in the role again in a Star Wars film for the first time since 1983. Peter Mayhew also returns as Chewbacca and is fantastic, not to mention Carrie Fisher's excellent performance as General Leia, who's return is more than welcoming. The story of The Force Awakens is one I'm not going to spoil for anyone, and talk about in my Dark Side version, but what you need to know is it is very reminiscent of A New Hope and towards the end a small dose of the last twenty minutes of The Empire Strikes Back. The battles are also spectacular and the practical effects are amazing, and what CGI is used is effective and works well, as it makes it look as though it's really there, and I can't really tell if something is CGI or practical, especially in the case of the TIE Fighters and X-Wings. All I can say is, if you are going to see the film, I'm sure you will enjoy it, and when you've seen it, be sure to check out my Dark Side version, where I spoil the plot rotten and talk about the bad!
  2. Sadly I have not. It's likely some day I will but it definitely won't be out of the country. So its likely going to be BUCK for me. Can't go 2016, but 2017? We'll see.
  3. I saw The Force Awakens two days ago at my local cinema, and loved it from start to end! I can safely say that Star Wars is back and better than ever! I thought Phasma could've been used some more, and that Hux was a little dull, but Kylo Ren makes for a brilliant antagonist, all the actors were fantastic and the main leads were perfect. Also, the way they introduce C-3PO in this is bloody fantastic!

    fandom q+a Jenn Blake Q&A

Hello Jenn! Hope you are having a lovely day, and here's my questions for you. Why did you choose a career in the fashion design industry? Out of all the comics you have done artwork for, which are you most pleased with? How did you go from the fashion industry to drawing artwork for the MLP comics?

  13. Erm, she's not fat, definitely not overweight. It's hard to say really. A physical appearance can't give you an estimate as to how much someone or something weighs in stone. I'd say average of i had to though.
  14. I'm off to Yorkshire in 10 hours! I'll be around, but don't expect me to be on as much until Sunday. :)

  16. Hello Chikorita! Here is my question! What has been your favourite moment on the forums?
  17. Ah yes, cartoons. Growing up as a kid I always enjoyed Tom & Jerry, Wacky Races, Scooby-Doo and plenty more Hanna-Barbera cartoon shows. Strangely, I never saw The Flintstones. I ought to get onto that. Nowadays, I'm into cartoons like Adventure Time, Regular Show, Gravity Falls and of course MLP. This is mainly because they have great characters, enjoyable stories and simplistic animation that is easy to get a custom to. And of course, it has incredible music and funny moments! What more could you want?

    staff q+a Kyoshi Q&A

Hello Kyoshi! Despite the fact I literally just spoke to you on Skype through the chat that can't be named due to Rule 1 or something, I'm going to ask you a question. That being: What is the worst film you have ever seen?
